Food was phenomenal! I had the crab cakes which were very good, but after I had eaten my crab cake, I heard that they had salmon cakes that I would have absolutely loved to have tried! The waitress I had was outstanding. I was stuck between my decision of poutine and the crabcakes. I told her to order for me, and she chose the crabcake, but she also brought me out a little sample plate of the poutine and I must say it was phenomenal! They have a root beer that's on tap and it's out of this world! For my entrée I ordered the mac and cheese with the pit chicken, and I couldn't have been any happier with my decision. It was heaven in a bowl! Lastly, for dessert I had the donut sundae, and it was pretty good. I must say, I expected it to be a bit bigger, but it was pretty tasty.

Another great visit. Had the American Breakfast with biscuits that are the most fabulous I've ever had. They are fluffy yet very rich and with butter and honey are a meal all by themselves. Part of the magic in the experience is being able to taste before you commit and having service that actually tastes everything and can answer your questions.

Food overall was very good. Service was good, but not great. Coffee cups were delivered, but without coffee, as it was being made. Still took a long time to get even after it was made. Alcoholic drinks took forever to come to the table. Dinner was served pretty quickly and was hot and good. Pecan pie for dessert was really good, will get again.

Food was good. Really liked our drinks and dessert. We were sat by a huge sports team of 9 year old boys. It was way too rowdy and loud felt like we chose to have dinner at chucky cheese. Dishes being broken on accident, wrestling, kids running around their table. We asked to be moved and were told no at first but then they accomadated us. It was much better after we moved to more of an adult section. Thought the management did a good job with our issue.

Hi - we are big fans of The Roadhouse but we had a very long wait for our food Sunday night.
Usually there is an effort to make the table happy with a complimentary appetizer or sweet potato fries but that was never offered. I had to ask for more bread as we had two hungry kids with us. When our food finally came they did not bring mac and cheese for a 7 yr old and she had to wait a good 5 mins or longer for her food. Not a good thing to make a child wait.
We also had to remind the wait person that it was a birthday and we'd like the complimentary dessert . We've been celebrating birthdays there since the place opened. Nice wait person - very slow kitchen but delicious food as always. Not the best night for us but we had fun nevertheless.

I always love coming to Roadhouse and always have a good experience, but it's rare that I really enjoy my food. My spouse always enjoys his and that's why we come back.
Was disappointed to pay $13 for a salad with no flavor

The servers were welcoming and efficient on a very busy morning. Unfortunately, of the six of us who went for brunch, only those who ordered waffles were satisfied with the quality. The bacon and egg skillet was 90% potatoes. The croissant was sliced in half and grilled. The scrambled eggs were tasteless, similar to those made from a powdered mix. The raisin toast was cold. We could have gone to a mom and pop diner and gotten better quality at half the price.

Reservations are a must even for breakfast. We arrived right when they opened and felt bad for people who were turned away.
Try the grits - they are nothing like we expected. Tasty and great texture.
Star (daily specials) are amazing flavor combinations. Far from a "greasy spoon", this is truly a tasty and creative dining experience.
The meal propmted a visit to their bakery within 10 minutes of the restaurant location. We stocked up on many loaves of bread to take home and freeze.
So glad we made reservations and experienced this establishment during our weekend in Ann Arbor.

We reserved a table for nine of us coming from Sylvania, Boston, and Chicago before the game. When we arrived everything was ready for us which is really great with a 2 year old. The variety of items on the menu worked for the vegetarians, little people, and the rest of us too.

Have heard good things but just got around to trying myself. Casual atmosphere with amazing food. The menu is impressively varied and its hard to make a choice. everything was wonderful. Is now a must when we are in AA

Food and service were both wonderful. We live in the neighborhood and visit often. Love the Thursday plate. What a great deal. My only complaint was the table. We made a reservation a few days in advance and there certainly was a great deal of availability for our three person group. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated in outer area. The fans here are loud and not helping the atmosphere.

Love the wonderful food menu at Zingerman's Roadhouse, especially the brunch menu. It's food that pleases a wide range of people. Meat, vegetarian options, gluten free, etc., Roadhouse Joe coffee, pastry and shareable breakfast treats.
Avoid the wait and make reservations, breakfast/brunch time is busy, dinner times after 6pm, there is also a wait.
Servers are a wonderful class of food loving people.

I went to Culinary School and they recommend this restaurant as a place to come for dinner and I was severely disappointed. The food was overpriced and small portioned, even when the server brought us bread and butter, both were ice cold. Then the food was brought out, it was lukewarm. Now I know what food is supposed to be heated up, temperature wise and this was frustrating. My family and myself will not be returning because the food, server, and overall time and money spent here was definitely not worth it.

When I know that I have a trip to Ann Arbor planned, the first thing I do is make a reservation at Zingerman's Roadhouse. Amazing amazing food...locally sourced where possible. And the fried chicken! My goodness, the fried chicken...worth it every time.

We were sat outside without being asked which was fine but I smelled like smoke the rest of the day after a 45 minute lunch. My Dexter Reuben was dry and my friends burger was tastelsss and almost like a big ball inside the bun. Server was good though and our Mac and cheese was awesome!

We decided on this restaurant to gather with friends. Usually the wait staff here can handle a large table but on this visit, the surer struggled. There was a delay in taking orders, serving drinks, serving meals, refills, and clearing. The only things that were timely were being seated and getting our check. 😀
We had many items from the menu and the favorite was the shrimp po'boy. It was a large portion with the right amount of shrimp and a zesty sauce served on a toasted baguette roll.
The food selection and quality was great but the service was not very good this time.

We had a nice brunch at Zingerman's Roadhouse. They were out of the French Toast I ordered, so I had a Belgian Waffle instead - which, at $9, seemed expensive considering it was literally just one normal sized waffle and nothing else - and it wasn't really anything special. The service was outstanding, however.

The food quality is very good, but the breakfast preparation is uneven. Toast is never toasted, always just warmed. Sometimes the scrambled eggs are perfect, sometimes greasy, sometimes runny. Bacon ordered crisp was barely cooked, and sometimes is just fine. There is no continuity.
Service is out of this world great. Everyone is friendly, knowledgable.

Reservation was for 7:45 but didn't get out of the game until 7:30. Called to change time and was given an 8:30 seating with no issues at all. Arrived at 8:30 and was seated right away, even though they were telling walk-in's that it would be an hour wait. Great food, friendly staff, would recommend eating here.

Over the years I have found the Roadhouse to run very hot and cold. I have had great meals there, but they have been mingled with less than stellar experiences, ranging from food to service issues. On this occasion I ordered handmade corn dogs and sweet potato fries. They were served fairly quickly, but neither were particularly hot or crispy. Corn dog batter was decidedly mushy/soft.

Collard greens with bacon and smoked ham hocks was the closest to the "real deal" that I've ever had in a restaurant. Butterscotch pudding from scratch, the bread that they make and serve at dinner is a meal in itself. I made sure they included the leftover bread in my doggie bag. Wait staff is laid back and knowledgeable at all things Zingerman.

Horrible. Our waitress disappeared. Food came out wrong. Then my correct food was over cooked. Had to wait for a third meal to arrive. Went and got the manager for drink refills and then for our check. Not near what I had expected! Very disappointed.
