I expected much more. The dining atmosphere was just okay. The food (two different trout dishes) were just okay. Service was good. There were several restaurants in the area that were much better than Wolfgangs in every respect.

From the minute we walked in, the service was spot on, we sat in the Bistro and were waited on by Jeff, outstanding service, the food was over the top and very reasonable prices. New homeowners in Highlands, will back soon

We enjoyed the food very much. Would have been a much better experience if our server hadn't seemed so cavalier and inattentive. We are not "high maintenance" diners so feel our thoughts are valid. He simply seemed to not care and kept disappearing.

WE had eaten here 3 days before and the server (Ivan) was fabulous. Then on the more recent visit, the server was very inadequate. She attempted 3 times to get the drink order right and then began to ignore our table. There were a couple of ladies who came in after we did and they had drinks and their food before our order was ever taken.

Wait 10 minutes. Waitress greets us. Wait 10 minutes. We get water. Wait 10 minutes. Order drinks. Wait 10 minutes. Get drinks. And on and on. The Bavarian platter was very good. The short ribs were good. (There were no delicious flavors. I would classify it as bland comfort food.). The apples in the apple streusel were dry and limp. Maybe this place was overhyped and my expectations were too high?

Overall a great dining experience. The one thing that fell short was the service that was provided. It seemed that our waiter was a little put out by having to serve us. Maybe he was tired of the "tourist" trade that I am sure makes up a lot of their business. Other than the service, the rest of the night was great.

My husband and I visited on a Friday night and had a wonderful meal on the patio. The food was the best we had while in Highlands and they had the most extensive wine list of any other restaurant I've visited recently. The service was great and the weather was perfect for sitting on the patio.

Wolfgang's has a nice "rustic" environment in keeping with the lovely mountain town of Highlands. I had the venison and my mother had the filet mignon. Both entrees were good and prepared properly and the sides were good, too. Our server was pleasant but I felt that she rushed us somewhat, even though the restaurant was not that busy.

We went to Wofgang's during a trip to Highlands for our 10th anniversary. We had a party of 6 and each of us were extremely happy with our meals and service, even the 10 month old! We will definitely visit again.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and nothing was particularly wrong with the food or service. However it was plated like it was a franchise restaurant and didn't stand out with flavor. If the price was 30% less, I wouldn't think anything of it, and would be back for sure. But when the food is priced higher, I was expecting the presentation and taste to be above average.
Atmosphere was fine. Quiet, easy to talk to each other which was great. There was no wait at 7pm on a long weekend.

My husband and I were seated at a wonderful table outdoors, covered, with a lovely fountain and excellent food, wine and beer. We were there during the Labor Day weekend so we made reservations. Even though there were several empty tables, apparently they don't "overseat" the servers, thus the service was spot on. We will certainly return when we are back in Highlands.

Wonderful dining experience nestled away in Highlands. Our waiter, Ivan, was fantastic and made great recommendations. The food, wine, and atmosphere were terrific. It was our first time dining here, and we'll be back.

Nice evening. Honored my request for a nice table for two (anniversary and birthday trip). Knowledgable staff and good food. Service slightly relaxed but attentive. Restaurant slightly warm but not uncomfortable.

Excellent food and good advice from waiter on specifics of all aspects of starters, entrees, and desserts. Owner/Chef Wolfgang actually came by the tables to see if patrons were happy with their meals! We will definitely be back. My personal favorite was the Strawberries Romanoff dessert! Coming back for the Apple Strudel!

Terrible music, the food was not quality considering how much we paid for it, and our server was obviously not having a good night or just does not like his job. Also, we had the only option of a 5:45 reservation, and practically the entire restaurant was empty until 6:45.

My wife & I decided to go to Wolfgangs our last night in Highlands. Since there were so many reservation times available we thought it would be empty on this Thursday night. We were wrong. Even though there were several large groups, we were seated within 5 minutes. It had been over a year since we had eaten here but our meals were superb. My wife had the Osso Buco, which was huge. She didn't come close to eating even half of the serving. I opted for the Snapper in a slightly spicy, tangy curry sauce, with garlic mash potatoes and grilled vegetable bundle on the side. Wonderful describes the taste of my fish. I just hope that it is again on the menu when we return in October.
