Weber's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Though the place is quite a drive from us, we came back because the food was excellent even though pricey but we didn't care bec. you get more for your money. Noticed this time, portions were much smaller this time(husband ordered 2lb lobster&daughter had bass)not worth the price & commute. Not coming back.
Visited 3 restaurants during restaurant week in Ann Arbor. Kenny Weber wins by a long margin for food and value. The others were both high end steak houses in town. Weber's provided full meals off the standard menu vs slim down versions at the competitors. Appetizer salad entrée with vegetable dessert and coffee for $28 . The escargot and prime rib work to die for . Friendly service. Thanks again Kenny.
Weber's restaurant can always be counted on for great food and attentive service at reasonable prices. My parents are in their 70's and we went there to celebrate my mother's birthday. I've been to their excellent Sunday brunch a few times and last year my family thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving there because they will serve family style or allow individuals to order what they want off the menu. If you are hard of hearing, I'd be sure to ask for a table away from the live piano playing which can get quite loud. My family and I have eaten at Weber's to celebrate birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and other special occasions since 1970 and we've never had a bad experience.
I haven't been to brunch at Weber's in quite a while. I remember it being excellent in the old days but today was terrible. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, the vegetable lasagna was runny and tasteless, according to one in our part who chose that. There was no bacon, just some odd tasting sausage. There was a ham, but there wasn't a server to carve it. Pastries were ordinary. Nothing was elegantly displayed. A real disappointment.
High society atmosphere and price but a very special birthday treat. Dress in your best and bring an upscale appetite. The new piano player played depressing old songs where the previous pianist played AC/DC, Pink Floyd and more contemporary music in an understated low key way that was really enjoyable with a fantastic dinner. The food is great and you will leave with a very contented tummy. The staff is excellent by being very attentive and genuinely concerned for your enjoyment of their establishment. Treat yourself!
Went to Webers to celebrate my sister's birthday. She wanted duck . She said it was the best she had ever ordered at a restaurant. What made it even better for me was her meal was comped due to a birthday special offered by this restaurant. Wait staff was very accommodating and service was great. We even got tips on what we could do with what was left of our meal from our waiter. I can't wait until my birthday so she can take me there for a meal.
The food was very good. But our service this time was terrible. It seemed as if we were inconveniencing our waiter to do the simple things. Then when we were charged for a bottle of wine that was not available, the waiter seemed to know this had happened but wanted to see if we would notice it on the bill or not. He never apologized for the mistake or the many other mistakes he made. Unfortunately the service spoiled an otherwise good evening on a special occasion.
Food was good. Service was good. Couldn't get into the LeBistro Room because of a party going on, took a booth in the bar area. Big mistake. Very noisy. Your rating of energetic is being kind. I would just call it just plain noisy. Maybe a younger crowd goes for loud noise, but not me. Ruined the occasion for me.
The only negative thing was we had to send back two entrees. One the steak was so tough that you couldn't even chew it and the sea bass was so small for the very high price that I wasn't impressed and it didn't taste so good. But the waitress and manager were outstanding and handle it well. The only drawback is the steak came when everyone was done eating.
I made a reservation for my son's prom night. He and his date wanted a 'fancy', nice place to have dinner. I chose Weber's because my husband and I have enjoyed many wonderful dinners there and we knew they would get great food, great ambiance and a great price for the parents who would be footing the bills. Everyone was happy.
