My wife and I have dined at this restaurant many times, however this latest experience was less than favorable. The food that was to be sued hot, was not. The service was rushed, and the noise level made quiet conversation somewhat impossible. We took friends out to celebrate their recent wedding, and based on this recent experience, we will not be back. When I spend $450 for dinner, I expect real value. Not so!

Excellent service and great food. The grilled octopus was something you don't see anywhere else and was super tender. The grilled beers were outstanding and the wagyu filet incredible. Excellent chef tasting of dessert paired beautifully with the Dow '85 port. Kudos to Paul for hunting and finding the '12 Berlinger Knights Valley! A great night out.

We wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday at a classy establishment. We dressed up, just short of a sport coat, and didn't feel overdressed. From valet parking attendant to the bar tender and wait staff, everything was perfect. Even the waiter escorted my wife to the rest room because the floor was slippery with her heels, nice touch. My wife said that was the best steak she has ever eaten. We would rate this at a 5++ and will return.

Solid food and service, but lots of competition on Sand Lake Road and I wouldn't return for two primary reasons: the noise level is too loud and the bar and wine list are overpriced noticeably. Taking unfair advantage of diners and probably convention tourists, but I am a local. Won't go back

The place is nice. Food was outstanding. We went for the Orlando Magical Dinning. Which was $33 for Salad, Main Meal and dessert. Big wine list, but a bit expensive. They have a private room for a party or gathering. All waiters the night we went. Well dressed and very attentive. I found the nice level was a bit high. But that was the clients I guess that night. At 7pm in the bar area they have a jazz band. Sounded good.

We got there earlier than our scheduled reservation but the staff was great and accommodated us. We choose Vines as the venue to celebrate my son's return from deployment. A shout out to Antonio our server for his great service and for making us laugh throughout the night. No doubt, we will remember this night for years to come!

The service was slow. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The food was very marginal and was over priced. Poor value for the price. It took 15 min to get drinks. Appetizer took 45 min to receive . and another 30 min for food.

Went for Magical Dining. As we have noted in some of the restaurants that do Magical Dining, once your server knows you are on the limited, cheaper menu, the service goes right down hill. They aren't as attentive or interested. Our server at Vines was probably the worst display of snootiness when it comes to Magical Dining. He was rude and dismissive of us.
Food wise: Salmon was undercooked to specifications. Steak was overcooked to specifications.
Will not be returning. Instead, will eat on the other side of the street from Vines for dinner.

The band wasn't playing so the noise level was very good. Although the male wait staff was unnecessarily pretentious, the staff assistants compensated with their friendly demeanor, warm smile, and casual professionalism. The food and atmosphere was wonderful!

My wife and I were given a OpenTable gift voucher by our family and were initially disappointed that the list of participating restaurants was limited [still a surprise]. However we chose Vines' and what a good choice it was. On arrival the car park was full, but then I noticed complimentary valet parking. Our server Kevin was very polite, helpful and knowlegable making excellent recomendations for food and wine. The surroundings are very comfortabe and attractive. The food is outstanding. Its not an inexpensive night out but if you want quality and service it's there in quantity at Vines Grille and wine Bar. Thanks to all who served us.

We were three and it was a business dinner this time. We have dined here often and this experience made us re-think our dinner choice. The octopus appetizer was the highlight. It was flavorful and tender.
The three entrees were a disappointment. My wife ordered the Steak Oscar and it arrived without the the crab leg or béarnaise sauce. She sent it back and the same plate was returned. This time it included the crab leg which was over cooked and no king. The béarnaise sauce was not hot. Another guest had the lamb chops and was not excited by them. My Sea Bass was over cooked.
Had this not been a business dinner, we would have complained but we are voting with our wallets. For over $300, next time we will go elsewhere.

We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. Our waiter was less than attentive . Our salads arrived rather promptly but our entrees took nearly 45 minutes after the salads. No bread arrived until the entrees were served. The pasta was flavorful, but the 8oz filet was cool and had no flavor. Dessert of creme brûlée and chocolate mousse were both good. I would not return to this restaurant after this experience.

First let me say the food was very good. The real problem was the service and the noise level. Extremely loud, even if you removed the table of women shrieking as they laughed (hey, that can happen anywhere). The floor was so slick that two servers dropped plates right next to us, shattering them all over the floor. Pieces were still laying there when we left. And unfortunately, our server was not overly attentive, forgetting to bring wine, and basically leaving most of the work after taking our order to his assistant (not sure what the assistant's role was, but whatever it was he did nearly everything once the order was taken). The server did present the bill, presumably so we'd remember who it was we were supposed to tip. Loved the food (Magical Dining Month menu), but won't return. Too noisy and impersonal, with too many great choices nearby.

OUR STEAKS WERE TOUGH AND NOT GOOD. AMBIANCE GREAT. PEOPLE GREAT.
BUT WHILE UNDER A LITTLE BUZZ.....WE WERE SWINDLED WHEN OFFERING THE MANAGER AND HER ASSISTANTS A LATE HOURS CHOICE OF BAR DRINKS. NO MENTION OF PRICE. NOT GOOD
A EXCESSIVE BILL BILL WAS CERTAINLY SURPRISING >>AT $1700+TIP
AFTER ALREADY SPENDING $1500 IN MEALS AND WINE< SHAME ON US.
CLASSLESS STEAK HOUSE AND NOT GOOD FOOD

Food was well portioned...atmosphere was pleasant...waiters were very knowledgable...only downfall was the cook that night burned both my waygu burger and rack of ribs...i orderd meat well done but still juicy...instead it was char-burned and dry... usually i wouldve sent it back but instead i decided to just eat it...but considering this a higher end dining experience, it was quite costly to have a chef who sends out char-burned meat

I was extremely dissapointed that we arrived at 7:55pm for an 8pm reservation but were not seated until 8:45pm. OUr waiter or whom we think our waiter was since he never introduced himself was for the most part unavailable thus we had to reach out to whomever was around for assistance. There was a long waiting period for the most of the entrees to arrive and each time they did not know who had ordered what probably because the person who took the order was no where to be found. My husband had ordered a filet well done but was served a filet butterflied medium rare. Once I located someone we asked to send back and eventually a semi well done filet arrived about 20 min after eveyone had already received their entrees. Towards the end we ended up serving our own wine since again we did not have anyone serving us. Lastly my friends had their left overs packed to go the bag was placed to the side but when we got up to leave the bag had been disposed of and when we inquired they brought back a different bag containing what they claimed to be their left overs, I'm assuming they pulled it out of the waste thus we said no and walked out. I brought my husband and friends to this restaurant because I have attended business dinners there and it was a great experience each time but after this deplorable inight I will never recommend to anyone nor will I plan on returning.

Amazing menu, exceptional service but the restaurant was too loud. I had to yell to my dinner guests making it an unpleasant experience. Vines is part restaurant, part watering hole; they need to decide which they want to be.

Having not been to Vines before, we did not know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised as to how much we liked it. Loved the bacon at the bar! What a great touch.
Our server Robert was attentive but did not pester us. Food excellent.

Our group expected more from a high end restaurant. One person in our group had black things floating in her water (looked like pepper). We informed our server and he apologized. He took the water and another server brought another glass of water. The second glass of water also had black things floating in the water. The least they could do was check the second glass if it was clean.
Each course took a long time to come. Even the bread and water.
I ordered medium-rare for my steak and it came medium. I didn't want to send it back because I didn't want to wait any longer.
