Viceroy Grille Ratings and Reviews

Viceroy Grille is a hidden jewel. We stopped by for dinner there before a public radio event, expecting a good but unremarkable hotel restaurant experience (we like hotel restaurants). We were blown away. While eating light, we enjoyed extraordinary food expertly prepared. I had tiny beausoliel oysters with a perfect mignonette sauce followed by a tartar that compared favorably with one I had at La Fontaine de Mars in Paris. My friend enjoyed a fresh, seasonal butternut squash soup and in-house prepared smoked salmon. I spent much of the past 15 years in New Orleans and am accustomed to top level service. Oklahoma City's great deficiency is well-trained wait staff. Happily, Nicole gave us NOLA quality service, attentive but not smothering. Mike the bartender prepared a Manhattan of the quality I had not experienced since the good days of the late Coach House. Viceroy is our new default. BTW, complementary valet parking.

Viceroy Grille is a hidden gem in the Ambassador Hotel. First of all, everywhere is spotless. The wait staff was professional. A few glitches in order taking vs what came from the kitchen, but the mistakes were handled courteously and elegantly. The wait time for food was a bit long. Especially because the restaurant was not busy on a Monday night. The Faroe Island salmon was excellent, and the sides were oozed perfectly. I look forward to coming back. This was definitely one of the top three meals I have had in OKC in one year!

Been to this restaurant several times. The menu is varied and reasonably priced.
My wife loves their roasted beet salad. One person had a sirloin steak, said it was one of the best tasting/prepared he has had in a restaurant. I had swordfish, very good! Other member of group had the seafood medley, she said it was very good.
Service is attentive, not overbearing.
Will continue to go here.

Roger did a great job of making us feel welcome which included meeting us at our car with umbrellas and parking the car. He was a great help in assisting our handicapped guest both up to the bar before dinner and back down when our table became available. This was way above and beyond the call. Having said that, I will say that The food service was slightly below expectations.

I would highly recommend the Viceroy Grill to all my business partners.

The Viceroy is a hidden gem in the heart of Oklahoma City. We have only been here twice over the last 6 months, but would recommend it to anyone looking for exception service and an intimate dining experience. The food was outstanding and the portion side was perfect. We loved Mike as our waiter / server / host. Not only did he take exception care of us in the restaurant, he escorted to the O-Bar after dinner. He even returned a few time to ensure our evening was progressing smoothly and the staff upstairs was treating us right.

First time at Viceroy; celebration dinner for adult son's birthday. Mike, our waiter, was outstanding in every way. Mike's demeanor made us feel very comfortable -- he interacted with us conversationally, yet was not invasive. Will ask for him again on future visits. Food was superb; atmosphere, ambiance and decor lovely. Moderate noise level. Visited "O" Bar on 7th floor after dinner. Enjoyed an outside table and spectacular OKC view. We'll definitely return!

The atmosphere lends itself to conversation at a normal volume and the wait staff is unobtrusive yet attentive which makes for a relaxed dining experience. While not exotic or daring, the menu provided a selection of dishes not typical of restaurants serving "American" cuisine. There was an interesting range of choices available from New Brunswick oysters and dry packed scallops to a pork steak with a glaze from local Porter peaches. All of the food my companion and I ordered was unpretentiously and correctly prepared. As a final comment, the cocktails are truly cocktails and not icy concoctions.

Mike was awesome! Great service and an excellent bartender! This place is unlike any other I have been to in okc. They make you feel so welcome with the manager making personal visits to each table. One of my favorites!

My long time friend was in town for our annual summer reunion. I chose the Viceroy Grille as our special dinner night out. It was so fun and fabulous. Mike the waiter was excellent and the food was just wonderful. My friend had the filet and I had the Mahi mahi....delicious. Ended with the Pot de Creme dessert and it was excellent, too. Staff friendly and fun!

Went for a typical Sunday brunch. Our server was great. He was very friendly and attentive. I had been there for dinner on another occasion and was also very intimate then. But for brunch it was nice and quiet allowing us to enjoy good food, good price and visit with our lunch companions.

A very nice place and the service was wonderful. The food was fantastic. However, 42.00 (not including tip) for breakfast for two was a little pricey and we didnt have the most expensive items on the menu. Plus 5.00 per person for coffee was a little over the top. It was good but not that good.
