Convenient to theater. $10 validated parking and 20% off with ACT tix.
an urban oasis of really tasty food. try the jidori chicken - nice skin, nice sauces. also, the smoked pork tenderloin has both flavor and an amazing presentation.
Great pre-ACT theatre dining spot; service was quick and helped us get to the theatre on time!
Yummy food (grilled octopus salad, shishito peppers, grilled lentil-endive entree). Waiter was a little ... too. But service was timely and accurate. Def will go back.
Amazing place with very reasonably priced and unique dishes. Highly recommend the kimchi fries and the carrot cake - which is not really a carrot cake-for dessert.
Excellent innovative tasty food with well-informed servers and good Californian wine list.
We had an early seating. Maybe that’s why it was quiet. Excellent service, never felt rushed. Server made very good menu suggestions. Food was delicious.
Went in for a dinner before a show at the Curran Theatre. Our service was excellent making great food and bar suggestions. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. We had the chicken meatballs, salad with the pears, Taipei chicken and it was all amazing!! My husband had the margarita and added gran mariner and he said it was the best margarita he’d had in some time. Nice flavors that blended well.
We were on our way to a show at the Curran. Menu was varied and creative, service was attentive and good was served without a long wait and check was settled quickly so that we could enjoy our meal and be on our way.
Came here for a first dinner as a married couple.
It was such a treat to have a professional and very knowledgeable server. Her wine and food recommendations were spot on, her descriptions matched exactly what we tasted and experienced. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the venue, at the center of the Theater district in SF, was more than convenient. We will be coming back again and again to enjoy our pre or post theater dinner and chat.
The service was good, but the food was a huge disappointment. We ordered the kimchi fries, charred spanish octopus, and the pastrami spiced pork tenderloin. Out of the 3, the kimchi fries were were delicious. However, I think the chef got the name wrong. The dish was full of potato wedges, not thinly sliced fries, so I think this dish should be renamed. The charred spanish octopus about average. It wasn't a horrible dish, but it wasn't memorable either. The pastrami spiced pork tenderloin was the worst of the 3. It really tasted like a heavily salted ham, with the salt outbalancing the surrounding flavors.
Food was quite good, it service was marginal. Much delayed check-in by waiter after a helper served entrees and never asked if we desired a drink refill. Annoyingly loud. Will not return to this restaurant.
Nice and quiet and good wine prices. Milk bread was a yummy appetizer. Prices seemed fair and there was a good variety of items on the menu.
Food was awesome!
The food was good but way over priced !
Great atmosphere and service was amazing. The food was incredible and FYI you must have the bread and SOUP!!!
I’ll be back for sure😘
Great find! Great service and the food was delicious! They have a great burrata salad that will be ordered by me again when I dine there again. Their rice bowl with pork belly was mouth watering delicious. The service was quick and attentive. The restaurant itself was a bit on the quieter side but it was nice to have a conversation without having to scream to get heard.
Came here for an event several months back and liked it so much I recommended to come back for a friend's birthday. We sharedKimchi Fries and Pimento Cheese Dip (my favorite) as starters and then half of the Peking Chicken and 8-Hour Bolognese. I loved everything about the chicken and was partial to the bonognese since I'm not a super fan of that in general.
Surprisingly good and a varied selection. Our waiter was spot on with his recommendations.
An overall great place to have dinner. Peking chicken is fabulous along with the Bolognese pasta. Appetisers have generous portions.
We were seated right when we walked in. I asked the server for bottled water. He was kind enough to let me know the water he was serving was filtered, but gave me the option of sparking water, wow impressive! Our waiter was excellent and down to earth, he never made us feel rushed even with our extended stay.
The our dishes were beautiful to look at and they tasted even better! Simple elegant flavors in every bite.
This place was just ok. Ate here because I was staying at the Hilton Union Square and it was convenient. The food was not great for the price and the service was mediocre. It wasn’t horrible, but there are so many better options around town that I probably won’t be back.
Ate here because convenient location near Union Square. Ordered bunch of starters and so much food were full before the entrees, but happily so. Some in our party didn't like hot spicy so wait person very helpful steering us because everything on menu included one spicy ingredient or another. Also knowledgeable about bar selections. Ambitious menu but execution not haute cuisine, more comfort food. Was fine dinner for our meet up with old friends, when you spend more time talking than dissecting your food. Pricey but not out of character for SF and Union Square.
The endive and black lentils were amazing! I did get the hot shishito pepper and ended up drinking the entire pitcher of ice water. Kitchen fries were fantastic, but eat them quick because once the cheese cools not as wonderful. Great meal, great service.
Food was mediocre
Looked at the menu and was intrigued by a couple of the items. Most notably the Pork Belly and Waffles and the Grilled Octopus. Both my wife and myself had some huge expectations for these dishes and they meet them. The Octopus was great, grilled to perfection. The Pork Belly and Waffle was Oh My God good. The Pork Belly was tender and crispy at the same time. The jelly they served with it just finished it off. We shared the Beef Shoulder Loin and it was just good. Still worth it but the Pork Belly is a hard act to follow. Then we had dessert, we had their signature dessert, I am going to say its the Granny Smith Cheesecake. It was awesome. The tastes melded like heaven and was thinking about ordering a second one. I would so go back to this restaurant if I get a chance.
Our server was great and the food was excellent, our friends who are local recommended Urban Tavern for dinner and we are glad they did. I loved the pastrami seasoned pork tenderloin.
The food was excellent. Perfect place to have a drink and food with friends or co-workers.
Good place to bring a date.
The air staff was attentive and the food delicious. There was a noisy group of men near us.
Reservations at 7:45. We arrived 5 min early and was seated. Drinks right away but dinner took over an hour.
A friend recommended this restaurant in the Hilton Hotel. Innovative and delicious. Chef Stephen is a genius. Every bite was a pleasure. Very attentive wait staff, overall a delight.
The food was delicious and the service exceptional!
This is a solid good establishment. The pork tenderloin was do well, but not exceptional and the faux peaking style jidori chicken was good. The quantity was enough to fulfill a person who had a lunch 4 hours prior. The service was very good with a attentive wait staff. Overall, you need food, by the Hilton and in a relaxed environment, Go Here.
We had exceptional service with the waitress giving recommendations for various things. The food was very good with portion sizes being nice. I would come back again!
Not worth the price and the time!
Food and service were okay but restaurant being located next to hotel lobby with lobby access made the restaurant feel like a cafeteria. Pricing wasn’t like a cafeteria.
What a great treat. We chose this place based on reviews and we were not disappointed. Cocktails were delicious. Beer was perfect. Food was delicious and even presented well super stoked on this place.
