We went to Union 50 with my son and several friends from his football team. We enjoyed the New York Striploan and several appetizers (Dates and Poutine). I thought the meal and experience were incredible until we went there last Friday and I had the Pork Chop. It was FANTASTIC! It's a great place to go with a group, Food is incredible, atmosphere is cool, service is great. We stayed around and enjoyed the live music. One of my favorite places in town.

Overall Great night! Hannah was our server and she did an awesome job! The barrel aged cocktail was delish and got me relaxed for a fun evening. Dinner was stupendous and left me wanting more. I Look forward to my return visit.

Food was great! Their website says that you can park in their parking lot behind the restaurant but when we went on Saturday night, it was valet only. There's some street parking but I think this should be mentioned on the website.

Met up with former co-workers and all really enjoyed their first experience to Union 50. I have been several times before and enjoy the restaurant for its lively atmosphere. My cheese board was particularly nice.

Outstanding experience all around. We booked a table for 6 prior to attending a comedy show at Banker's Life Fieldhouse. We were promptly seated and service was excellent from that point on. Drinks arrived quickly, as did our appetizer (Fries!). Water glasses were always full, and our appetizer plates and silverware were cleared promptly before our meals were delivered.
Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the ambiance is fantastic. We will be back!

Food great, service not. Waited for 15 minutes to get anyone to come to our table or even acknowledge we were sitting waiting. Finally had to go to the hostess stand to find out if we had a server. Let's just say it was slightly uphill to recover. Food, atmosphere was superb but won't be back again.

The service was exceptionally slow. We ordered our food at 6:00 and we were rushed to eat our main course at 7:15, since we were supposed to catch a show at 7:30 at Bankers Life. This is the second time I've been here and the service was slow. I wouldn't recommend it if you have a time crunch.

Union 50 has become one of our favorite places. We often take friends and/or family from out of town here for dinner. The food is excellent, atmosphere cozy and the staff friendly. We have always enjoyed a delicious dinner and we look forward to our next dinner at Union 50.

This is the third time we have eaten here and the food was great. I did think that maybe the noise level has increased quite a bit since our last visit. We took my wife's parents there for dinner. My father-in-law is a bit hard of hearing and it was hard for him to hear the dinner conversation. They did like the food though. I just don't think I would take someone there that is hearing impaired.

Dining alone on a Thursday night, the hostess seated me outside by the lovely fire. I commented on the lofty ceilings as we walked through the restaurant/bar she explained the building was a former union hall. As a first-time visitor, I felt I'd made a good choice. The crowd was mixed and the music level enjoyable.
I ordered the lamb with couscous and olives. The lamb itself was good, but the couscous melange was so loaded with fat that I didn't eat most of it, and still got indigestion from only a few bites. What can I say about the taste if I couldn't even eat it?
But, the beet salad was delicious. I wish the portion was bigger. Having wrecked my digestive system, I didn't ask for dessert, but paid my bill and walked the meal off through the beautiful Mass Ave neighborhood. I'd go back there, and ask more questions, but not before I tried some of the many other restaurants in the vicinity.

I took my friend there for her birthday. It was a first visit for both of us. I had researched several downtown restaurants and decided on Union 50, which proved to be an excellent choice! I wish we had known that there was parking behind the restaurant. We parked on the street. Staff was very knowledgeable regarding all the food. Will definitely go back!

Great, great, great restaurant! Came here for my sister's bachelorette party and it was the perfect place to go. The noise level is moderate so we didn't have to worry about disrupting people with our party of nine. The service was spectacular and the food was amazing. They even allowed me to order champaign and appetizers days before hand to have ready shortly after we were sat. An all around great experience and I will be back!

Very pleased with this gem ! The only negative is that the seats outside are metal and not comfortable . They should put a cool cushion on them so you can sit and enjoy what they have done. A wine flight would also be appreciated. I wanted to try more than the bottle we settle on.
Our server was very attentive to our requests.

Kitchen was pretty much mailing it in on a recent weeknight visit. Sent out old skate smelling of ammonia which was pretty much unforgivable to my dining companion, a chef herself. It was sent back. On the good side, burrata was excellent and recommended. After sending back the skate, the waiter noted it would be taken off the menu, but upon reviewing the tab it wasn't, so points off for that, though don't want to be too harsh there. Pleasant cocktails. Don't think I would return except maybe for cocktails and a bar nosh of the burrata.
