Our meal was delicious! We had the appetizer tour for two - outstanding. I had the Filet McGregor and my wife had the Beef Ribeye. We would get both again. I'd love to try some of the other entrees on the menu. On our return to Estes Park we will surely visit Twin Owls again.

Twin Owls was recommended to us when we came to Estes Park on vacation. We loved it so much we went back a second time! Filet MacGregor and French Onion Soup were outstanding!! Looking forward to coming back to Estes Park so we can eat there again!

Old friends from Chicago joined us for a perfect evening in a perfect setting with great wine , food and service. Owner personally explained the menu selections and took our order. Hostess graciously seated us at the table we requested directly in front of the fireplace.
Be sure and wave to Leroy, the majestic 6x6 bull elk, in the neighboring yard beyond the pond.
The evening was a special treat for our Midwestern friends.

I was disappointed with our experience. They were short staffed so that the timing of our meal was terrible. We waited a very long time for our appetizer and then the salads came before we could finish the appetizer, then dinner came before we could finish our salads, they did not bus the table so we had stacks of dishes every where on a small table. The food was very good, the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the fireplace. I am not sure I would dine here again, it was an expensive meal and we really didn't get to enjoy it.....

The entire evening here was incredible. I had my parents visiting from the east coast and they had never been here before. It was the 32nd wedding anniversary and I really wanted them to have a view of the mountains and we were seated in the PERFECT seat possible. :) The food was incredibly amazing. Wine was delicious, mixed drinks were awesome. Apps, main course and dessert were all top notch and service was on point as well. They were able to make accommodations for my food allergies which was commendable and didn't make me feel silly for having restrictions. I will be back and will spread the word about how stellar everyone was to make their anniversary a night to remember here in Colorado!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was very good and plentiful and served at the correct temperatures. I'm so happy I ordered the beet salad - so good! Ambiance was inviting and we could actually hold a conversation without raising our voices to hear one another. We enjoyed our experience at Twin Owls.

We made reservations thru Open Table and made special request for our anniversary. They met our request, sat us down in a very timely manner, and we're very friendly. Although the restaurant was very full, noise level was low and conversation was easy. Food was good and staff busy but attentive. They even provided us with a free desert for our Anniversry. Worth the trip, but make reservations.

We were celebrating our Anniverssary - 1st time in 13 years without our children. We wanted a fine dining dinner experience. We were very pleased with everything about our evening. I would have liked more of a mixed drink selection, but we were very satisfied. The food was fantastic and we enjoyed our evening very much. It was just what we needed.

The only problem was the staff was way too fast as if they were more concerned about turning the table than us relaxing and enjoying our time in this beautiful establishment. They were friendly and professional which we appreciated.

The waiter got the order wrong (there were only two of us). The steak was cold and had to be returned, the trout was cold and covered in sauce - despite asking for sauce on the side. When the head waiter came over, he was apologetic and changed the trout for a new one he said ("luckily the chef had one prepared"), however, they only scraped the sauce off and lied since there was still sauce on a portion of the fish. Probably the worst meal I've ever had, made especially worse since the restaurant lied to us. AVOID THIS PLACE

Food was excellent, server was good, but all the servers seemed to be struggling with the number of tables they had - everyone seemed overextended. This has been the case the last couple times we have been here (we dine here 2x a year) - just don't dine here if you are in a rush and you will be fine. Environment and food is excellent and servers are always polite and professional. We are repeat customers and will continue to return and would highly recommend Twin Owls if you are looking for someplace nice to dine in Estes Park.

Love Twin Owls. Food and service are great. Last time we asked for table by the windows and were placed elsewhere ...even though 2 window tables were available just a few minutes after we were seated.
Otherwise, it was great.

This was our 2nd time at Twin Owls restaurant. We were in Estes Park Celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Love the ambiance of this restaurant. Love the authentic log cabin. The warm bread was fresh and comforting. The 4x4 filet and lobster and the prime rib was delicious.
We definitely recommend this restaurant for it's atmosphere, food and service!

The setting is relaxing , comfortable, and view was outstanding. We were able to have a conversation and actually hear each other which is rare these days. My husband had the filet which was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the buffalo prime rib which was average and slightly overcooked. Overall while the service was good, the entire staff looked miserable with the exception of the hostess who greeted us.

Four of us enjoyed a wonderful evening. Charming lodge ambience. The roasted beer salad (half size) was still quite large and I shared mine with the husband. My short rib entree was delicious, and the rest of our party were happy with their meals. Service was good too!

I want to give this a 4 star rating but can't due to the lack of parking. It was dark when we arrived and we did not see any signage about overflow parking. We did see signs about not parking here and there and when we did finally find a parking place a full sized car would not fit and be able to open the drivers side door, we did have a smaller car in our group and swapped it out. We had 9 people and 3 cars. Took 20 minutes to park the other 2 cars. We had already dropped every one else off. We arrived 15 minutes early but were 10 minutes late sitting down due to the parking problems. Once we did get our table - service was good, food good and we enjoyed our visit. Unfortunately the next morning all my guests were still talking about the bad parking situation and not the good food. Will have to think twice before returning to the Twin Owls Steakhouse.

We eat out at Twin Owls every time we are in Estes Park. We have visited many restaurants around the world, but this is one of our favorites anywhere. The atmosphere and ambiance is the best, and the food and service are always incomparable. It's a mountain resort area, so I can understand the relaxed dress code, but I like dressing up just a little for special nights out, and I do wish that more people did as well. The Twin Owls is always memorable, and we cannot wait to visit again. Don't change a thing..!

I was disappointed with this restaurant. For the price of the entree's I expected better service. I did not expect to have to "box" my own leftovers, re-cork my own wine bottle and then have to ask for bags to carry everything out. The food was good, but not excellent.

If you've experienced big city dining experiences before (and are hoping for anything on Denver's par), you'll be disappointed. If you like a classic, run-of-the-mill steakhouses, you'll probably be happy. I will cut them some slack because they told us the head chef recently quit, but I still don't think that would change my opinion. Wrong drinks, bland food and a stale concept. :/
If you're being selective when visiting from out of town, look elsewhere.

We went for my wife's birthday, and ended up with one of the two tables on a private balcony above the rest of the restaurant/dinning area. This was one of the most memorable dinners we have ever experienced. The food was amazing. We have dined at many restaurants over the years (across the nation). This restaurant quickly topped the list of our favorites. This was an outstanding experience. Definitely highly recommended Twin Owls.

For what was supposed to be a higher end dining establishment we found the food and service to be amazingly average.
The service did not stand out in any way. All four in our party ordered meat dishes and all were overcooked. The rib-eye, lamb chops, and elk medallions were requested medium rare and they came out either medium or medium well. Prime rib was requested rare and came as medium; it is understood that rare may not be available but if it is not even close then the customer should be asked if that is okay.
Will not eat here again or recommend it.

First time at Twin Owls...food was outstanding!...baked Brie, fresh house salads, Twin Owls signature steaks and salmon...beautifully presented and expertly seasoned...very good cheese cake for dessert...craft cocktails before dinner, wine with dinner and after dinner drink with coffee...our issue was service....10-15 minutes for water service and finally our server acknowledged us...ordered cocktails that took along time to receive...ordered wine with dinner...she never asked if we would like another...just awkward pace and timing with our server...no refill on coffee...we paid our bill and left only to see our server with other servers eating dinner in the bar....it's pricey for Estes Park...service should match the dinner price and it didn't....I did enjoy our water server and busses...she was right there before water glasses were empty and plates were taken away n a timely fashion...will we go back?...I don't know...we live next door in the townhomes...it would be convenient but....I just don't know....
