Trevi's Restaurant - Omni Mandalay Ratings and Reviews
We had brunch the morning after our stay for our wedding night. It was nearly empty, so mental note for an easy brunch restaurant! Although they have a buffet, neither of us eat enough to warrant a $22 omelet vs the (custom made) menu one for $17 (ish - I didn't really remember the individual prices, though they were between $12 and $18). The restaurant overlooks an outside living area and grassy area between the hotel and the canal. It's quiet and we really enjoyed the mimosas as well!
My family and I had a nice Easter Brunch at Trevi's. We were impressed by the selection of food choices that were being offered. The ambiance was great, and if we had young kids (instead of teenagers), they would have absolutely loved the Egg Hunt that was restocked every 1/2 hr, as well as the petting zoo with 3-4 ponies. Very well done indeed!
Went there for 10 year anniversary dinner. We ate outside on the patio and both had a pasta dish, appetizer and wine. The food was delicious and plentiful! Service was prompt and friendly. We were even offered a complimentary dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary! Highly recommended!!!!!
A wonderful find in the land of steak steak and more steak. Coming from NY I really appreciate a full bodied Minestrone Soup. The soup was exceptional! as an entree I had the rigatoni with fresh red peppers and sausage, asked for some extra heat and the chef really delivered. I swear my glasses had fogged up- yummy
Not rushed, the server knew the menu and was very attentive
This is definite stop next time I am in Irving Area
The temperature in the restaurant was uncomfortable, cold. The soup was bland, the appetizer was bland.
I had the meatballs and spaghetti, the marinara sauce was good but the meatballs were too firm, they should be soft enough to cut with a fork, I had to use a knife.
Service was not terrible but slow and there were only 3 other tables at the time. Mushroom soup appetizer was very good, good wine list. The entrees... so bad. Server recommended the salsiccia e peperoni (sausage and peppers) pasta dish and we also ordered the pollo di Angelo. Everything was so bland and just terrible. Decided to order the lava cake thinking "you can't screw up lava cake, even dominos does that" and of course, it was a lump of spongy undercooked cake covered in chocolate syrup. Save your money.
I read the reviews on Open Table and since I was staying at the Omni Hotel I decided to give Trevi a shot. Trevi was an utter disappointment from the server to the food. The server couldn't remember who ordered what at our table of 6. Service was slow. I ordered the Cotoletta del Vitello and the veal was luke warm and the sauce far too salty. Others in our party expressed similar disappointment with their meals. Won't be back.
Came to this place for breakfast on my birthday. My husband and I had a Wonderful experience. It was just what I wanted. We ordered the breakfast buffet and EVERYTHING was hot , fresh and amazingly good. (Although I have had better pancakes- their was still good) Beautiful décor, kids are welcomed BUT , not kid friendly in my opinion. I would love to go back oneday and dine again. I really enjoyed it ! A great start to my Birthday !
The food was lovely my scallops were amazing as were the meatball sandwich and cheese artichoke and prosciutto sandwich. The only slight let down was I felt the service was somewhat rushed. We wanted to take our time but as soon as we had put down our cutlery the plate was whisked away and they brought the bill before we even got asked if we wanted desserts or coffee. Maybe they wanted to close but if so they should not have accepted a late lunchtime booking (1.45pm). But the food and venue was lovely
According to advertisement there was supposed to be a buffet available - there was none. So we ordered off the menu and even though there were less than 10 people in the restaurant it took awhile to get our food. When I got my food the salad was right but the entrée was wrong. They took it all back and when it was replaced the entrée was right but the salad was wrong. The food for my companions was correct.
The saving grace was that the entrée was very good.
My wife and I had booked the Romantic Getaway package at the hotel for our 15th anniversary and decided to have a romantic dinner at Trevi's. We loved it! The waiter was very helpful in suggesting entrees for us to order and also brought us a special anniversary dessert. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely dine there again.
Trevi's was a beautiful restaurant! The staff was great! The food, however, was just so so. It was sad. I had the soup special of the day, which was tomato basil. It was good, but I could have gotten it anywhere and for a lot less. My pasta tasted okay, but it tasted like they forgot something, and our fried cream goodies with chocolate sauce weren't even something that was edible. Our waiter ended up bringing us some berries. My friend had the Branzeno with the scallops as an appetizer. Her's was much better. The wine list was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect.
This was a pleasant surprise. I didn't think a restaurant in a hotel would be great, but trouble you turned out to be a very nice experience. The buffet was awesome and the service matched. I met a colleague for lunch there and it was a very relaxed and non pressured environment. Try it out I think you'll like it.
The bruschetta is to die for!!! It's not your typical garlicky affair and has a very refreshing flavour. The pasta dishes looked amazing and our flat bread was tasty without being an overpowering mess of sauce and pepperoni. The service was good and we got to sit as late as we wanted to and talk without being rushed out. The wine list was well balanced and reasonable. I gave okay marks because the veal dish was dry, lacked sauce and was blah. But I would go back again especially for business functions because it was a decent experience.
We met friends for dinner on Sunday, and were seated on the patio. The service was just fair. One of our party did not receive the correct wine, and did not receive the correct entree. The restaurant was not busy by any definition, so it's not clear why these orders were mixed up.
The weather was perfect for sitting outdoors. The convention crowd had cleared out, so we had time and space for a leisurely visit.
It seemed the staff was also off that night. The food was nicely plated, but nothing special. The single waiter left the check and disappeared. We didn't mind -- more time to visit with friends -- it was just puzzling for an upscale hotel restaurant.
