Took relatives for a Friday night dinner. Meal was great; great wine recommendation by Chris in the bar; and Trevor was great as our waiter (around enough to check on us, but not overbearing). Good wine list and worth the drive.

Service was very slow. We arrived at 7:00 on a Sunday and didn't leave until 9:00. So it was not a busy night, just slow. Our waiter never brought my husband his drink and we had to cancel the salads since they were either forgotten or coming with our entree. The food was mediocre at best. The steak was decent, the sea bass was really red snapper and bland, duck was ok, but the pasta was delicious. That was our second time there and, probably, the last. It's beautiful out there, we just wished the food and service was better.

We had an excellent waiter, who recommended several items to us as well as a great bottle of wine! He was friendly and attentive without being hovering! The appetizers were good with nice sauces; the bread was good, but a little under baked!
We had cake waiting at home, but ordered Affogata, which was delicious! It was our daughter's birthday and they treated her to a huge piece of chocolate cake to take home!

The food was excellent and our server - Alex - was at a professional level that is not often found nowadays.
He was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic - my daughter remarked that he is almost certainly a "foodie”.
He was also gracious when my grandson spilt a glass of water on the floor - thank you for making us feel as if though it was nothing, when it was probably the last thing you needed in a full restaurant on a Sunday afternoon!
The wine from the estate's vineyard was also really, really, good....cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

My husband and I went here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. They had made up a table for us overlooking the vineyard, which we both enjoyed and appreciated. Usually when I make table requests on open table they are ignored, but not at Trattoria Lisina. We had the fettunta, lasagna, ravioli, and the chocolate cake. All of which was really good. My serving of lasagna was so big we had enough for another dinner for us both. Our waiter was very nice and spot on with his wine recommendation. We are definitely planning to return.

The location is lovely so arrival before dark is recommended. The building is Italian country style and nicely decorated. The space is large so the noise level is high, but not unacceptable. It is well set up for large groups which explains some of the buzz. Service was attentive. The wine choices were excellent and reasonably priced. The food was well prepared and presented. The menu focuses on substantial, traditional dishes resulting in a very satisfying meal in pleasant surroundings.

Trattoria Lisina is our Italian restaurant of choice in Driftwood. They have some good salad options, like their asparagus salad. Trattoria Lisina always have interesting specials, such as braised ribeye ravioli in a tomato cream sauce and some type of great sounding fish options. Their duck is great as is their Mushroom Fettucini Alfredo. My son likes ordering pizza with an egg on it and fried squid for an appetizer. They make great gelato and tiramisu cake for dessert. Whenever we have a special occasion and want to stay in the Hays County area, this is our restaurant of choice. Wait staff service can be hit or miss unfortunately, but that's really my only complaint. Otherwise I definitely recommend trying Trattoria Lisina, if you're in the Driftwood area.

Had a very nice dinner there 9/25/16. Third time dining there. Service was, again, excellent. Attentive but not annoying. Food was excellent. Always enjoy walking around the grounds. It was raining this time, but before there were families outside, drinking wine, kids playing. Prices are right for the quality and atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive from town.

As always, an excellent dining experience with friendly, attentive service-this is by far our favorite choice in the area, tucked away on a beautiful secluded winery, where we have enjoyed many meals with family and friends.

Our waiter, John, was outstanding. We were a party of 11 and treated us as if we were his only table. He has a good, big voice, so we could hear above the noise, he was discrete, knowledgeable, and friendly. One of the best waiters I've seen in a long time.

We decided to try out this place for our anniversary dinner based on the good reviews on Open Table. Despite making a reservation we were made to wait close to 40 minutes to be seated. Additionally, there wasn't really anywhere to sit whilst we waited so we were made to stand by the entrance.
Once we were seated we were able to take in the positives of the restaurant: There's plenty of open space, it's not too loud or quiet and the tables aren't cramped together. The waiter's are also very quick to serve you.
As soon as we met our waiter for the night he was trying to up-sell us on everything we ordered - we're guessing that he's made to do this by management. Whilst he was never pushy, you don't want to be asked a million times whether you want something that you didn't order for a reason: it gets annoying fast. Despite this, he was attentive and the service was quick.
Our food was a disappointment - my partner and I have definitely had better Italian food for far cheaper. I got a chicken and veg meal, while she got a pizza with goat cheese and mushrooms. The chicken was kind of dry and didn't have much taste to it and the pizza was a little bit too heavy on the garlic. It was still nice, just not great. The tiramisu was however delicious.
All in all, we had a mixed time at Trattoria Lisina and probably won't return

fantastic setting in the middle of a vineyard. In addition to the beautiful villa, the service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. Wine selection was excellent; we chose a wine that was produced with grapes from the local vinyard.

The restaurant is beautiful. The waiter got "lost" 3-4 times. He always apologized when he returned but was not available when needed. The food was bland. I had several friends that had been there before and they said it was fantastic. Maybe I hit a bad night. It was a Saturday and it was busy but the food was bland. I had the Pollo Arrosto and my wife had a dish with shrimp, clams, and mussels served over pasta. However, I would try the restaurant again.

My birthday celebrated with special friends and family
Although from Houston, I often spend my birthday in Austin and on more than one occasion choose Trstirria Lisina as my choice for birthday dinner. The food is both creative and delicious and the service is warm and welcoming. Our server was personable, attentive without being intrusive and celebrated with us. It was joyous and perfect in every way
