Lovely afternoon to meet friends for a bite to eat. Sat outside in the covered patio on a leisurely Sunday afternoon, not crowded, friendly diners. Wait staff wonderful!! Food -- other worldly... one of my friend had the Ravioli de Zucca, ravioli with butternut squash and sage, really good. I had the Ravioli con Coda, ravioli with braised ox tails -- it was unctuous and umami at the same time. Will return. Will reorder. It was a memorable meal and outing.

Amazing food, we have been here 3 times and never had a bad meal. The staff are excellent and the restaurant really nice.
Kids meals are huge, over all prices are more than we normally spend but the quality of food is worth it!

Good overall and pretty good for the town of Alameda. I've been here before and the server this time was not as attentive. In fact, the busser and the the guy who brought the food seemed to care more about us than the server.

I held my book club at Trabocco's. I called in advance and asked for a table for six. They set it aside for us. I ordered for the group and everything arrived timely and well paced. We ordered three salads and they plated them separately, which was much more convenient. The food was good--the calamari was tender and very lightly battered; the salad was delicious and fresh; and we ordered three pizzas--they were all good but the Cristina was our favorite with the mushrooms and prosciutto and shaved parmesan. It was different and good to the last bite. The restaurant even gave us Italian book marks to coincide with our book club gathering--it was a great evening, everyone enjoyed the meal and the ambiance and I think we all plan to come back again and again.

Four of us ordered different items and we enjoyed them all. A lively fun place to dine. Surprisingly more "formal" than expected since located in shopping center. Have been here many times and keep bringing friends with us.

We went here for our anniversary dinner. The service was alright, the restaurant was super loud, our entrées were over seasoned, the seafood wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't fresh either. We were crammed into an awkward table in a corner next to a weird partition, it just wasn't the celebratory evening we had envisioned. I've been here for lunch before and enjoyed it quite a lot- maybe it was an off night?

We always walk out of Trabocco completely satisfied. The staff consistently provides stellar service and the food always impresses. We had several dishes, but the star was the octopus small plate, which we'd never tried before . It was a nice big portion, tender, and grilled and seasoned perfectly. Delicious cocktails too. The check made us wince a little bit, but that's what you pay for a good experience.

Food and service was pleasant, however I found the noise level on more than one occasion to be challenging. Some people might find this 'energetic' but patrons seeking a quieter ambiance might want to be aware of this issue.

Trabocca is a lovely restaurant nestled on the inside of the South Shore Center. I had never seen it and didn't know it even existed. We had lunch and the food and service were first class. The portions were generous, the quality was good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely go back and will tell our friends abut it.

Worth the drive from the South Bay! All around great dining experience. The owner/chef hollered a friendly "buon giorno" from the open kitchen as we were being seated. The hostess, server, and waitstaff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of grilled salmon and polenta and a prawn and scallop dish-- Piatto del Trabocco. All flavorful and perfectly prepared. The hint of the wood fired smoke kicked the flavors up a notch. We started with the Caprese salad, which was superb with still-in-season heirloom tomato halves topped with silky burrata. A delightful birthday serenade and presentation of a delicious tiramisu topped off an excellent lazy Sunday lunch. We'll be back for more.

Trabocco is a very special restaurant and we're lucky to have in Alameda. First of all, we needed a warm, quiet room and were offered a private room. The menu was creative and the food was spectacular. The wine accompanying the meal was outstanding. All in all, a wonderful evening! Highly recommended!

I went here with my lovely bride for a "date night" without children. I have eaten here before and have always found the food spectacular, at a fair price, and service outstanding. On this evening I was not disappointed; everyone there was friendly, the food was outstanding and the ambiance was pleasant. I had sea bass that was absolutely delicious, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her ravioli dish that was very good. The food portions are done right; we were both full, but did not leave feeling "stuffed." I would recommend this to any of my friends, or to business associates looking for a place to take clients for lunch/dinner.

The chef-owner was table touching tables ensuring everything was going well. Great feel in the restaurant. Our waiter was effective. Great food and wine options, were visiting from Pennsylvania and so happy we found Trabocco.

Pappo is always outstanding: it never disappoints. My favorite cocktail is the Citronella, but this time I tried the Basil Martini: delicious! Great bar service: we ordered a couple of delicious appetizers as well. The owner greets everyone, and all the staff seem very happy to work there.

Trabocco in Southshore Center, is a wonderful dining destination. There were two of us for dinner. My choice was Osso Bucco. It was served with delicious polenta and spinach. The sauce on the meat was filled with mushrooms, carrots, and a fantastic array of spices. For dessert my choice was pumpkin Creme Brûlée. While I was a little skeptical about the pumpkin, it was light, delicious, and delightful.
The service was attentive and friendly without being pushy. Definitely looking forward to my next visit.

There are only so many words to say incredibly good food, terrific service, fabulous ambiance, wonderful chef. We truly appreciate how special we felt having the service staff engage with us and then having the chef stop by to chat. Every time I take clients and friends to this place, they are all very impressed and thankful that I introduced them to Trabocco.
How else can I say that this was a superb experience?

A friend lives in the area and suggested we meet at Trabocco. Because I am not familiar with Alameda, I had a hard time locating the restaurant. It's in a shopping mall and my GPS was not completely accurate with directions. Once I arrived, the service was very good. Our server immediately greeted us, explained the specials for the evening and offered further explanations where necessary. She was attentive and checked in with our group throughout the evening. I had sea bass, which was cooked perfectly. It was served with greens and polenta. The greens were good, but I didn't like the polenta -- it looked as though it had been sitting on the plate for a while. However, others in our party who ordered the same dish did not have the same impression of the polenta and I did.
Overall, the experience was very good. Service was excellent from the time we walked in until we left the restaurant. Food was served promptly. We were not rushed through the meal. I would return to Trabocco if I found myself in the area again.
