I must admit - This restaurant is not what it used to be. Don't get me wrong - it has very good food and the atmosphere is spectacular, but they seem to have lost a bit of the touch of class and flair that other fine dining establishments have in Vegas. Just to name a few of the particulars: 1) The attentiveness of the wait staff is below average (compared to say Eiffel Tower Restaurant). 2) You have to constantly ask for such things as refill of water glass or extra butter and things. 3) If you have any left overs to take home - they give you a small box and say here pack it yourself and lay a plastic bag on the table (as though it came from a grocery store). Other restaurants place your left overs in nice containers and give you a memorable bag with handles that shows an exquisite touch of class. I will go back, but it will certainly not be anytime soon (and yes - I am a local, but do have guests that come in from out of town from time to time. A bit disappointed how this restaurant falls short of what it used to be.

We were in Las Vegas for a few days and wanted to celebrate my mother's birthday by having a special dinner. This was a wonderful way to celebrate her special day while taking in an amazing view of the city. The food was great and the service was fast.

Eating at the "Top of the World" was a wonderful experience. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Food was good as well as the wine pairings. Would have liked my Filet done a little more, but I am not one to send back. I am a medium steak guy, but when the waiter said that's a slight pink center, I changed to Medium rare. It came out a lot more rare than medium. Red is rare. I will eat steak any way it comes, I just prefer it medium. Other than that, Wonderful Time. Can't wait to go back.

We loved the incredible atmosphere. The views are absolutely breathtaking. While the prices are certainly on the higher end, the taste and the views are worth every penny. We made our reservation over 4 weeks ahead of time, so our seating was on the "outside", closest to the edge. Get the best by making your reservation early enough to see Vegas and the surrounding mountains by daytime, and then the incredible sunset followed by the lights of Vegas at night. Truly a memorable experience and great anniversary!

Best view in Vegas. slowly moving dining room turns for a full 360 degree view of Vegas. Go before sunset to see the colors change and the light come on in Vegas. Sky jumpers pass window for some Vegas style excitement between romantic dining. all tables "feel" private. Easy to have a conversation. Outer window tables are amazing. The food is top notch, with a variety. Vegetarian options, but go for the steaks and seafood. Pricy, but meals do come with vegetables, though additional side options are available. Portions are generous. If you only have 1 night in Vegas or a special occasion, worth the splurge.

This was my first time in Vegas, and having our last dinner here was really a treat. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation. Even with a special request, we did not have to wait long after our reservation for a table on the window. While waiting we enjoyed a couple of cocktails in the lounge area. Samantha was great, and very helpful when making our selections. Once our table was ready we were seated along the window. Service was prompt, Dan was very attentive to our every need. My boyfriend and I both had the 4course meal. Each course was cooked to perfection, absolutely delicious, and the plate presentations were spot on. I indulged in the wine pairings for each course, and I'm very happy I did. Each wine paired beautifully with my meal. It was truly a breathtaking experience that I would recommend to anyone. Price point was as expected with such a great location, ambiance, quality, and service standard. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Vegas.

The service was very good! I ordered the special which was a wet-aged New York strip. It was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. The view, of course, was incredible but it inflates the price. If you're looking for a great dinner, there are plenty of better restaurants on the strip. If you're looking for a great view and want to get out for less than $200 for a couple, have some cocktails and move on.

Warning budget minded people.... you are not going to eat at this restaurant for less than 100.00, per couple, for lunch. A lot pricey, but the chefs 3 course meal, as a choice, was doable for a lighter eater and excellent for lunch. Could cut our filet using just a fork. The men in our group chose a burger and said they were very good, however they didn't get full. The view is breathtaking. When you are finished, you can go to the top observation deck, as well. Remember you are there for the experience and leave your budget at the door.

This was the second visit for us. Last was in 2012. The food this time was not as good for me, but my husbands was delicious. I am a vegetarian so there were few choices for me. I had the grilled cheese sandwich for $25.00 and it was just okay. I've certainly had better sandwiches elsewhere. The dessert was chocolate mousse and that was awesome. This time I felt it was not worth the money we spent, but I Would still recommend it. And the view is spectacular!

It was a great place to be but really disappointed having to wait for our reservation when we made it weeks in advance and showed up early. People who were very late for their reservations were being seated before us. No great place to wait. Just felt the staff seating people were short with us and could careless about our experience. Once we were finally given a table the experience was better.

Great place, a little tricky to find but well worth it. They were unable to fulfill my request for an outside small table, I was given in the middle larger table. But I understand not all accommodations can be met. Great view and the whole thing spins! Took about 10 minutes to adjust to it but you get to see all of Vegas!

The truth is that since Top of the World Restaurant (at the Stratosphere Hotel) has been their a very long time, I really wasn't expecting much. It is a high-end restaurant, but my wife and I went to see the view and say we went there. It was a really nice surprise. First off....the view was fantastic. You are overlooking the entire city. Looking at the tower from the rest of the city, and you don't realize how high it is.
As for the restaurant and food, it was also great. The staff was very friendly, service was fast, the food was varied in selection. My wife decided to make it a sampling dinner...we ordered two appetizers, and split one meal. All were wonderful. Were not big drinkers, but it looked like the wine selection was good too. This was date night with my wife....and we had a wonderful time. On our next trip to Las Vegas, I expect we will return.
Don't miss watching the bungee jumpers either. It was too windy the evening we were there, but we had a laugh at the sign warning you not to be disturbed if you saw bodies falling by, and to 'feel free to wave'. We spend some time at the hotel afterward gambling....something we wouldn't normally do, but it was nice as well.
Over all, Top of the World is every bit as nice as the other more trendy big-name chief restaurants, but for most, offers a better value, nicer view, and great food, whether you are there for a meal, or a light snack.
Since it remains a tourist restaurant, reservations are still recommended, I would think. They are on OpenTable.

Lovely food, but not cheap. Views were fabulous, rotating round downtown and the strip, seeing all the helicopter's buzzing around, and the occasional jumper off the platform (one of the rides!) right in front of us.
