The Montgomery Inn - Original
Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow. That’s why we also offer equally out-of-this-world entrées and combos, signature appetizers, soups and salads, and seriously decadent desserts. And if you have little ones who refuse to eat anything that’s not a nugget, children’s menus are available as well.
Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or carryout, there’s always something delicious you’ll want to try. But if you always decide to go with the ribs, we’re fine with that too.

Eaten here many times and think they usually have the best ribs on the planet. Unfortunately, they must have had an off night as the ribs were very dry this time. I hope it was just a one time mistake. Will give them another shot.
College friends in town ! Ribs and brews!!
Our waitress was lovely. Was told our food would take awile. Father’s Day super busy, but food came sooner than they had thought.
Father’s Day tradition
We went to The Boathouse location. Our server was actually rather rude and the food was subpar. Given the price I expected better quality food and better service. I would not return nor would I ever recommend this place to anybody else.
Food was good. BBQ nachos were definitely worth the calories! Our water/busses guy, Cody, was outstanding, Friendly and a hard worker.
Came for Father's Day with my wife and granddaughter. We all had something that we enjoyed, and the service, Steve and Ben, was exceptional. We will definitely return soon.
Been to the Montgomery Inn many, many times since moving to OH in 2001. This was by far, the worst experience we’ve ever had. Sent the first slab of ribs back for being tough and inedible. The second slab wasn’t much better and the server didn’t offer to take the ribs off the bill, no manager apologized. Disappointed. Our new foster son’s first experience and he said Skyline is better. He was right on this night.
Ribs are AMAZING. They are the King of Ribs for a reason! Key lime pie is YUMMY! My wife loves the California Salmon!
Good food. Service was ok. Server was slow and couldn't hear us because the live music was too loud. The live band was good, but not what we were looking for in a date night.
Service was not what I would expect from Montgomery inn. Had to keep asking for coffee, water. Food took forever and the excuse was the kitchen was backed up. I was the last one to get my food and it was lukewarm at best. Disappointing!
Ribs and wings were great along with everything else! We drove 125 miles to eat there, our favorite restaurant.
We knew the food would be great..because it's Montgomery Inn. But the service and ambiance were fantastic. It was a special occasion because we met friends who were visiting from out of town that we hadn't seen in 10 years. The seating staff gave us our own private room...and that made it even more special. Thank you Montgomery Inn for a wonderful evening, dinner, service and food. We highly recommend it.
Shrimp was awesome. Ribs were disappointing/not much meat. Service was underwhelming. Ambiance was great.
Overall it was good, not great. The Boathouse is much better. I can only assume that is their main focus. Employees seemed uninterested and overly chatty without regard to the customers. Food was better than average. Again, always a great experience at the boathouse. Our waiter was courteous and prompt.
The ribs had a lot of fat on it. I was disappointed
Great food and Great service!
My wife and I ordered the ribs and they were very fatty . We used to order a full slab of ribs for each of us, so we could take half of the home for lunch the next day. Unfortunately that night we had to throw away 1/2 of portion at the table, due the high fat content in our slab. My father order the brisket and it was 80 percent fat. I know it is a fatty piece of meat but come on. 15 years ago, it used to be our go to place when we came back to Cincinnati. Now that we live here and ownership has changed the quality has gone down hill and has gotten cheap. Now you have to pay for that salad, when it used to be included. I guess it will be another couple years before we try it again!
This restaurant is a legend but it seems like the few times that I have been the food just isn’t fresh, it’s supposed to be famous for its ribs but they always taste reheated
I didn’t pick the restaurant I was invited for a graduation celebration the place is beautiful we had a good time .
Good as always!
Barbecue was good- we got a sampler style plate. Loved the original ribs, my friend loved the dry rub, and I tasted my other friend’s chicken which was delicious. The onion straws were tasty and my daughter said the green beans were great. Too full for dessert. And, we’d all go again!
We took my 93 year old mother to The Montgomery Inn for an early dinner. The food was good as always and the service was excellent. We always enjoy ourselves there.
Awesome food, awesome waiter, great birthday celebration!
Our servicer was bad
ST Louis cut Ribs were dry and did not taste good at all. I had the Brisket sandwich which was 13.99 and was tasty but they really skimped on the brisket .
Kids pizza was so terrible my 7yo took two bites and left the rest for the garbage can.
I was thoroughly underimpressed by my meal.
Had colleagues in from out of town. Wanted to show them Cincinnati favorites. We were not disappointed.
Delicious food - our group of 6 ordered a variety of entrees - chicken, ribs, brisket, shrimp - all were very pleased with their choice and highly recommend. Service was excellent - very attentive and yet we did not feel rushed.
Consistently excellent. The staff is friendly and seem very well trained. The food is excellent. Thank you for another great experience.
Food was average and the service was slow. The kitchen lost our order so its took over an hour to get our food.
My cousin in Toledo recommended the Montgomery Inn for their ribs. So, when I visited my friends in Cincinnati, they knew all about it. The ribs were fabulous! The Inn was extremely busy for a Sunday evening, but our server was very friendly.
The food was good but I would have rather not eaten in the bar.
Very pleasantly surprised! Much, much better than the previous Columbus location that is now closed, NO comparison
Good bread. Ribs were scrumptious. BBQ sauce is quite flavorful. A Cincinnati favorite!
Ribs aren't as good as they used to be.. I haven't eaten there in years.
We usually love Montgomery Inn, but this time was terrible. The food was cold, soda flat and everything tasted a day old. Disappointed to see the quality of the food go so low.
While living in Ohio many years ago, we would make the drive to Montgomery Inn a couple of times a year. We move away 14 years ago and while in Cincinnati last week we took advantage of being there & made time to eat at Montgomery Inn! It was as good as ever!
The ribs were not as good as a remember. They use to fall of the bone.
Used to live in Cincy. Always try to get there on my visits!
Seems to be coasting on reputation (or rather name) at this point.
We were seated quickly, our server was (initially) prompt and extremely pleasant. It took a bit to get our food, and the check was slooow to arive, but good things come to those who wait!
Our only complaint was that the ‘Big Ted’s Platter’ was changed. It used to be pulled pork, brisket, and a few ribs. More delicious than words can describe. AND the portions were ridiculous (read: huge). This time they dropped the pulled pork and substituted in a dry-rub portion of ribs. This isn’t nearly as satisfying.
Everything was good, but I wouldn’t order that again (in its current state). Their pulled pork used to be amazing. I’ll have to dig through the menu the next time we visit... which will hopefully be soon!
