About The Metropolitan Grill
The moment you step into the Metropolitan Grill, you know you have entered a classic steakhouse. Guests enter through tall mahogany doors to be greeted by tuxedo clad Maitre D’s. Cuts of beef are showcased in a glass display in the front entryway. Framed photographs of celebrities, sports heroes and local politicians, all frequent visitors to The Met, line the walls.
At the Metropolitan Grill, the focus is on the Prime beef, American and Japanese Wagyu. Steaks are seared over the high heat of the “Iron Wood of the World,” imported mesquite charcoal, ensuring the most tender, juicy steaks available. Metropolitan Grill Chefs personally select each cut that is served to guests.
The Metropolitan Grill’s award-winning wine list showcases the definitive steakhouse selection of premium West Coast red wines, with special emphasis on Cabernets, Merlots and Meritage.

The Metropolitan Grill Ratings and Reviews
Wonderful atmosphere if a perfectly prep ...
Wonderful atmosphere if a perfectly prepared steak dinner is in order. We've never been disappointed and always been seated on time or early. Knowledgable wine Somm and plenty of menu choices; some pricy but most in line with what you'd expect. Highly attended by the tourist trade but enjoyed by locals as well. Book a private room if your night out is a group or melt into the comfy seating and sit back for a memorable evening.

So our overall attitude towards the experience was good. The only real issue i had was when we ordered appetizers and dinner at the same time, within 5 minutes of ordering, our main meal came out before apps. The issue was,how was it possible that a "fresh" steak was cooked so quick? The food was goo,the service was great, but i did not like getting lied to. Tye server told me,"this was for another table." That was hard to believe because it was the exact same food as what i had ordered, and was brought back after the apps were finished. It was good food, and i would recommend it. Just was a little skeptical about the above issue.

I really enjoyed the panko crusted scallops in a white wine sauce and the crab cakes. I ordered them for appetizers for my group and everyone loved them. The Alaskan halibut was cooked just right and the bone in filet was so tender. The bone in filet is not on the menu but is usually available per the waiter we had. Bananas foster done tableside was a big hit with everyone.

My husband and I have eaten at The Met several times & have never been disappointed until our visit on 10/16 following the Seahawks game. The restaurant was fun and lively due to many other Hawks fans and Russell and Ciara passing through to private dining. However, our baked potato and our broccoli were grossly undercooked and our ribeye steak was chewy & full of gristle. I hope this was a one-time fail and it continues to be consistent in quality in the future.

I visited the Met twice in the last 6 days. Both times underwhelming. We had brunch prior to the Seahawk game and it took the waitress a long time to acknowledge our presence even though she chatted with the table almost next to us for a long time. The food (Joe's Scramble) seemed prepared well in advance and was not the usual Met quality. A person in our party ordered a drink after the food came and it never showed up and he finally cancelled it as we had to leave.
For the prices they charge I expect everything to be very high quality and these last two occasions they definitely were not.

Always fantastic with service and quality in mind. I have never been disappointed here and every time I bring someone new they are also blown away. The best steak I have ever had and the service is really incredible. You have to try it for yourself.

Having been to the Met a number of times my general impression has not changed. It was a wonderful steak house about 20 years ago and now is just another overpriced restaurant. Drinks were super sweet with no taste of liquor. First course artichoke hearts dry with wilted parsley. Steak nothing to write home about - especially compared to my steak at Canlis earlier in the week. Price was very close to Canlis but food and service was not even close.

Im VIP but they still charged me for parking, food was amazing this trip there wasn't so much amazing about the experience even though I told them it was my 50th Birthday, you guys missed hitting a home run MET. Been going here since 1999 but starting to think of finding a new spot.

Went here for a birthday dinner. Service was good but food was average. Our hash potatoes were smelling of old oil. But they were open to changing them and gave us a complimentary dessert for the occasion. Our server was delightful and even sang us a happy birthday song.

I usually love the Met but this trip was disappointing. Service was slow, steak was average and I poured the decanted wine for the table. Not up to usual standard. Didn't eat half of my 8 oz steak and no one asked why.

This was my first experience at Metropolitan Grill, and I was not disappointed. I splurged on the Snow Beef and it was the most tender, flavorful filet I've ever had! The waiter was incredible, and very knowledgeable and was able to split a salad and sides for me.
I highly recommend this if you're really wanting a fantastic steak!

This place has been a classic since the day I first entered its corridor in 1998. I have not been back in about 7 years and was greeted by staff who have been there and served me with a smile since that day. You just cannot beat the service, quality food, classic menu selections and top notch wine list and meats. If you want the very best you come here.

My wife and I went for dinner for our anniversary. As always, wonderful service, friendly staff and of course the best steak! If you have never been before you must try the calamari and the carrot cake with Makers Mark ice cream!

My son was celebrating his 13th birthday and he wanted a good lobster (go figure). Anyway The Met Grill did not disappoint. His lobster was excellent and so was the rest of the food. The overall dining experience was as advertised
