If it wasn't for the awesome Groupon deal we would have all been very disappointed on spending the full $190 on dinner. Our waitress was very nice but way overboooked, barely saw her. We got our cheese fondue and ate it completely by the time our drinks that we ordered came outout, also had to ask for ice for our gin and tonic as it had obviously been sitting around after they made it and ice had melted in. Asked the bartender for limes and olives with our drinks/ martinis, never came. Waitress forgot our 4th plate for fondue so my husband and I had to share. Asked the manager ( I assume, he was wearing some kind of sports Jersey) for more veggies to cook for dinner out came a bowl with unwashed mushrooms- you know, with the black fuzzy stuff that are on them in the store package. Gross! Our husbands had to go to the bar to order another drink, since no one came back to our table. The only perk was our very nice waitress, not her fault management overbooked her. Same night my cousins went to the Lyndhurst location and had a great experience. Wont be back to the rocky river one ever again.

We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary there. The food was excellent! We enjoyed every bite. Our server Karen was awesome, she explained everything wonderful and made our first time experience awesome! We will be back.

The restaurant was beautiful. Our server was very friendly. I knew it would be expensive, but was still a bit surprised by the bill. The portions were also pretty small. My husband left still hungry after spending 140. The food did taste wonderful. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think we'll be making this a regular place.

David was a wonderful server. He was very attentive to our needs and he checked in with us just the right amount to be helpful, but never too much. We will certainly be back to this restaurant again due and request David.

the food was great! I feel the server explained everything really well. they also were very good about giving some special treatment to the birthday girl:) my sister was turning 50 and they brought over a plate with a chocolate covered strawberry and sparklers and written on the plate it said happy 21st birthday! we all just loved it:) the only thing that i would change is they had are table of 7 set up right next to a couple that looked like they were having a romantic dinner.

My daughter and I celebrated her 12th birthday on July 30, 2016. We've visited before, but this was by far the best visit. Our server Julie was fast, efficient, KIND, and helpful throughout our entire meal. Our food came at a great pace, and we had wonderful conversation while we were waiting, cooking, etc. Julie even put a sparkler on our dessert tray. She wished my daughter happy birthday more than once, and each time it made her smile. As we were walking out, my daughter said she wants this to be her new birthday tradition. I guess she's giving you an A+ rating too! Thank you for a great celebration.

My wife and I have always enjoyed eating here. This time we were introduced to a different area of the restaurant and were very surprised. There are booths that are intimately set for the couples to have privacy while enjoying the great food. This has become a favorite destination for us.

Service was quite terrible. Have been there a few times before and it wasn't bad but we were celebrating a birthday and the waitress forgot about it and forgot to give us silverware, took such a long time to bring our food out that a different waiter came over to give us our food. It was absolutely rediculous. They brought out the wrong food when they finally brought it out. Then they brought us the check and over charged us!!! Unbelievable!!!

We went for a late Fathers Day celebration. My boyfriend had never been here before. They had a special for the occasion which worked out really well. We were both highly satisfied and left very full after 4 courses.
Excellent as always
The Melting Pot did not disappoint. Our cheese and chocolate fondue was exceptional and the pace of the meal was wonderful. Our server was personable and friendly with just enough conversation. I always like the way the tables are surrounded with high-ish walls and even though it wasn't too busy when we were there, even on busier nights, there is some privacy noise protection.
Poor customer service
The service was poor and the manager had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I will never go to the Rocky River Melting Pot again. I was emailed a special on food and drinks and when I am about it the waitress wasn't even aware of the special. The two drinks we order supposedly weren't part of the drink specials so I was charged $9.95 a piece which when I ask the manager to correct my she she talked to me horribly..... Last $125 I spend there.
Excellent, except for small portions and high cost
Staff excellent, wonderful ambiance for couples to large groups. Food excellent although in small portions. If it wasn't for the coupon, I wouldn't have eaten there. Too expensive for the amount of food received. Fun experience, but will not return unless I have another coupon.
Little Pricey, but Good Service
We went here for Mother's Day with a group of 7. We split the bill with the two families - 3 on one and 4 on the other. This was our first time at the Melting Pot. Overall, great service. Our waitress was able to explain everything to us and walk us through the ordering process. The food tasted great, and they do give you quite a bit. I do however, still thought it was a bit pricey for the portions. Our bill was $107 for the three of us. We just got meat to cook and the dessert to split after (we did each get a drink, those were about $9 a piece). I would probably come here again if I was planning a romantic date or had some money to splurge on. Quite atmosphere and very "classy" looking inside.
A Declining Value
I've been visiting this Melting Pot location for several years, and I've found the overall value has significantly declined over time. Although the experience of a slow meal with time for conversation remains, the restaurant is looking a bit worn. From the restrooms to the carpeting, everything looks like it needs a good cleaning. Similarly, the service at this location has begun to lean toward a chain restaurant mentality: Fast talking, using "internal" lingo, failure to notice empty water glasses, forgotten guest requests, and over-sharing about the kitchen's hardships. Finally, the quality of each course also appeared diminished. The lobster tasted fishy, the filet mignon was tough in places, and the veggies were less vibrant than I'd expect.
When a meal for 3 costs $200 before gratuity, it seems reasonable to expect a little better, even in a little Ohio suburb.
Great for Romantic/Special Occasions
Took my GF/fiance here after our engagement. They gave us a free dessert and made sure we were in a relatively secluded location for just the two of us.
Also, as a note, every time I have been to a Melting Pot--no matter the state--the servers are amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely some of the best, most-interesting servers I've every encountered.
We went with another couple and it was a delightful long evening of dining on great food. Our waitress was outstanding. Too bad it was her last night as she was one of the best we have ever had. She timed the food just right. You can't be in a hurry at this restaurant. It's an all evening affair as waves of food comes at you all night. Really a great experience for all 4 of us.
We were celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. I made a note of it in our reservations, yet no one made an attempt to recognize or congratulate us. We saw other tables receiving sparkler desserts and creating a special moment, so that was disappointing. I thought noting it on our reservation would suffice. The cheese fondue appetizer was great. The chocolate fondue dessert was amazing. The dinner fondue, eh. We will likely just go back for appetizer or dessert.
