The Industry Ratings and Reviews
3 of us girls went to the industry for Valentines Day dinner. We wanted to go someplace where we could easily park, so that's what made our choice. We were pleasantly surprised by the food.
The mussels were some of the best ever, the sauce was flavorful & laced with shallot! The beet & goat cheese salad was delicious, the short rib perogies were good, but we couldn't taste short rib, just potato. The horseradish creme fraiche that came with it was very good, as were our burgers. Our server was very good & congenial.
A few points of criticism... 2 of us asked for side salads with ranch instead of fries. Our salads were 'chopped' & coated with what tasted like sour cream mixed with mayo & white pepper, so not very good.
The only other thing we didn't care for were the glasses used by the bar. The used 1 glass for champagne & martinis. The glasses resemble old fashioned champagne glasses, but very small, maybe 3 oz. which didn't give me much champagne or my friends a full size Martini, but were priced as though they did.
Other than that we enjoyed our dinner very much, although we wish the menu was a little larger, the entree choices are very limited.
Great brunch spot. Made a reservation and was seated promptly. Came with wife and two kids, 11 and 14. Wait staff very pleasant and accomodating. Ran into trouble with dishes being significantly delayed from kitchen due to a 23-top in middle of restaurant, but before we could complain, waitress came to table, acknowledged the delay, and took care of us. Rare to find these days. Food was outstanding when it arrived and flavors were as advertised. Drinks were not too sweet and tasty. Nice beer list. A bit noisy and a small bathroom, but to be expected in refurbished neighborhood corner property. We will definitely keep this in our brunch rotation.
Went with my BF. We go out a lot.. grab some drinks & eat. I live about 5 blocks away never went until recently for drinks before a party. Went tonight, food was great, waitress was sweet, wasn't rushed out, food pace between apps and entree was just right so we could enjoy our drinks. Great Friday night dinner spot!! Especially for couples --Will be returning soon.
The service was excellent - friendly and helpful! There was a good selection of draft beers and interesting cocktails. The food was excellent and the menu was eclectic with both small and large plates offered, including a variety of salads. The fried chocolate chip donuts were amazing, a must when dining there! Will return to taste additional menu items, and also for the donuts!
Really interesting beers along with a decent wine list plus cocktails equals a very nice happy hour. The fish and chips were outstanding - lightly battered fresh cod fried so that it was golden and crisp. The roast chicken special reminded us all of how great real chicken can taste, and it came on a bed of roasted root vegetables that were flavorful and not overly cooked. The killer was the salted caramel bread pudding which was huge, enough for four people to get a goodly sized portion. We'd go back.
The biggest shock of the evening was getting a few chicken nugget-sized pieces of fish in their $16.95 fish and chips. It was a ridiculous price for the quantity of food. The burgers were good and it was nice to see that the standard burger is 1/4 pound, although you can get a double if you want. It was a refreshing change to have a burger that can be picked up and eaten in a reasonable fashion. Good beer list.
My friend used to live about a block from the Industry, so we used to go there pretty frequently. We decided to check out their brunch since we hadn't been there in awhile. The food was delicious and our server was a huge help (I have a hard time making decisions!). Can't wait to go back again!
We came to the Industry on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. to celebrate the May birthdays in our family. We were seated right away and asked if we wanted a drink. the service was excellent. We ordered apps for the table and everyone ordered something different. we were all very pleased with our choices. we will definitely be back again and again!!!!
The food was excellent, but what separated this from other restaurants was the desserts.
We had the donuts and the bread pudding. Both were excellent. Many restaurants try to outsmart themselves by making the desserts over the top. These desserts were perfect. Simple, yet full of flavor and delicious.
Going to the Arena to see a boxing match, and stopped here first to get some food and drinks. Nice happy hour, good bar food menu, and lots of energy.....NCAA tournament was in progress and Temple lost on a buzzer beater....many Temple fans had to drink their trouble away.
I ate here with my son and husband on a Saturday around noon. We all ordered the breakfast egg specials, which were all delicious! Wonderful breads, perfect potatoes and tasty egg combinations. The service was excellent, with plenty of their delicious coffee always there just when you want it. The environment is very nice, modern industrial style. If we wanted, we could have had a mimosa or Bloody Mary to go with our meal but we didn't. We talked a long time at the table and they did not make us feel that we were overstaying our welcome, which I really appreciated. I will definitely go back. This was a very nice experience!
This is my local spot. I'm here at least once a week not just because it's close, but it's great. if I didn't live around here, I'd still go. The happy hour with $1 buck a shuck oysters and mac-n-cheese fritters is great, the drink menu is great, the menu is varied and has lots of appealing options and the staff is friendly. Thursday is Quizzo so if you don't have a reservation it may be hard to get a table. I recommend the Asian chicken salad, the fried green tomatoes and the homemade soups for dinner and the scrambles, breakfast sandwich and brunch specials. Alo have outdoor dining in the spring and summer.
Fun atmosphere and friendly, prompt service. I took my 20 something daughter here for an early dinner on a Saturday. The fettuccini duck confit was delicious and the other offerings were very good. The Salted Caramel Bread Pudding was disappointing (not very warm and a little dry) - stick with the Pot au Chocolat which was excellent.
I really enjoyed my dinner at Industry. I went with friends and we had a good time. It was a little loud in there but we really liked the place. It was our first time there since moving to the city. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. And all of us had the chocolate mousse for dessert, it was amazing. Our waitress was very nice and food came out very fast. I would absolutely go there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool spot in the city.
Despite having made a reservation for 5 a couple of days earlier, the hostess gruffly told us the only available table was at the bar, with the seating on backless stools. When informed this was unacceptable, she offered a table set for 4 squeezing a chair on the end and making us promise we'd leave by 1. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, kitchen was slow and delayed the serving of the 5th platter for 10 minutes; the rest of us watching our food get cold. Meals were pretty good, but probably won't return.
