The Farm House Ratings and Reviews

We were visiting Nashville and went to The Farm House for Sunday brunch. I had the Breakfast Poptart which was delicious. The pastry shell was very light and flakey and the filling delicious. I asked for ketchup for my eggs and was pleasantly surprised to get a homemade version, almost like a tomato chutney. It was very unexpected and very tasty. On the other hand, my partner ordered The Farmhouse Breakfast and it was just ok. The eggs were not cooked to order and the bacon was overly salty and fatty. Overall, however, a very pleasant experience and I would return.

The cocktails and beer were great. The food was well prepared but slightly boring. We went later in the evening, so it was slightly rushed feeling and the valet closed without notifying us. Because of our timing, we didn't have time to try the main dishes and desserts the other diners were raving about. I'll give it another try, but don't make a reservation for after 9 pm.

Gourmet quality food in a wear-ur-jeans setting. Ever-changing menu is so creative and you can tell that the chef is also the farmer/ grower who truly knows the ingredients. Servers know their stuff and you don't have to suffer through pretentiousness. Foodies shouldn't pass this up.

Came here to celebrate my father's birthday and overall had a great experience. I really appreciated the valet signs they had placed because the restaurant is a little bit hidden thanks to the construction. While the restaurant itself is small, we did not feel cramped. The service was the best part! They were patient while we were making up our minds and returned often in case we had any issues, but not to the point that our dining experience felt interrupted. While I understand that farm to table can inflate price, the overall value still did not match. The food was delicious, but a few dishes were heavy on the salt especially the Hot Chicken (which my father really wanted to like as a visitor to Nashville).

This was my second time here and it was a bit disappointing considering how awesome my first visit was. Our server wasn't as welcoming and friendly as the one we had before, he made us feel kinda uncomfortable. It was our anniversary, but that was never acknowledged even though I mentioned it when booking the reservation. I ordered a vodka tonic and received a vodka soda instead. The food itself was brilliant but with the other aspects considered this probably won't be on my list of places to go when I return to Nashville.

I visited The Farm House on a recent visit to Nashville, and it was phenomenal. Everything we had was absolutely fantastic (a few cocktails, a couple starters, the hot chicken and the pork tenderloin). The hot chicken was not fried, which was an interesting and welcome departure from most hot chicken you find. It was HOT, but I couldn't stop eating it! The pig ears were addictive, and the smoked chicken wings were probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. Who would have thought that a chicken wing could be SO delicious and interesting and mouth-watering?? We loved them so much, we ordered more to go at the end of our meal, for some late night snacking. Highly recommend this place, and I'll be sure to visit next time I'm in Nashville.

Our group of four shared several small plates and a couple of entrees. All of the food was great. Our server (Hien) was very knowledgeable and helpful about both the food and the wine. The chef even paid a visit to our table! It was a very nice experience, and we will return with other friends.

The Farmhouse continues to deliver exceptional dining! The ingredients Chef Cioccia and his talented team uses are the highlight of the experience. They meld creativity with good old fashioned simplicity to deliver plates which it is hard not to taste the thoughtfulness that has gone into their creation. I highly recommend you give The Farmhouse a chance to show you something new and to give you the best version of something old you have ever tasted.

The true litmus test of 'upscale southern cuisine' is cornbread. Few restaurants can manage it. In fact, of all the new restaurants in town, I've yet to find one that understands the texture and taste of real cornbread. Until The Farm House. Not only is their cornbread spot-on, everything they bring to your table is exceptional. From the mortadella and terrine to the walnut gnudi to the pork tenderloin, everything is made in house with fresh local ingredients. They make their own sausages, salami, pickles, ketchup, mustard... and their liverwurst is so good it's dumbfounding (and I hate liverwurst). If, for no other reason, you must go now, while it's still on the menu and get the pumpkin cake with sage ice cream. Unbelievable! Loved the whole shebang. Will be back again... and soon.

In Nashville for a wedding and picked Farm House via Open Table. Not easy to find behind all the construction scaffolding but a great choice - really interesting food, casual but cool space and good service. Unique brunch offering with good flavors. Definitely try the pastry board to share with the table. My only complaint was that the coffee is ground too fine for a coffee press. I ended up with 1/2 inch of coffee grinds in the bottom of my cup - may appeal to some tastes but not mine.

A group of 5 of us went here for brunch on Sunday. The unique menu is so good. We started with the pastry sampler which was SO good and the smoked wings for the guys (also delicious). We all tried different items on the menu. I had the the Pastrami Poptart. It was awesome!! The French toast of the day was great as well as the breakfast tacos. The meats here are so good. This is a must do in Nashville!

Prepare your taste buds and open your mind! We chose to try several small plates so that we could sample more items and did not regret it. EVERYTHING was wonderful! Such unique ingredients and flavors.
We will definitely go back again and try more new menu items.
I made my reservation with Open Table and appreciated the fact that The Farm House staff actually read my request for special seating next to my guy. They have a ton of two topper tables, so I appreciated them giving us a four top so that we could sit side by side. Nice.

Feels like a farm house in the middle of downtown Nashville. A small but well thought out menu. I and my companion both had different fish entrees and we both agreed they were done perfectly. Had the Pimento Cheese beignets for an appie and a hit. The only negative is that there is construction going on across the street so the entrance is hard to find.

We were disappointed with the limited menu choices and our food selections. The chicken livers were dry. The meat "poptart," which the waiter recommended as his favorite, was mushy and undercooked. Our waiter became uncommunicative when we ordered only three small plate orders and did not ask how our meal was.

Amazing menu and service! So nice to have a waiter who spends time describing the selections with so much knowledge and passion. Really added to the experience. Put in a second order for the pastrami pop tart it was so delicious.

Unfortunately I am unable to write a favorable review. My wife and I recently dined here after many previous good meals at this restaurant. We started with the pig ears app. which was quite good. My entree of hot links with steamed buns was almost inedible. My wife's pork tenderloin was fairly flavorless and the pasta on which it was served was not even cooked to the al dente stage. To top of this unpleasant experience our server was terrible. We advised upon arrival that we were attending a show (we were there 1 1/2 hours before the show began) and painfully waited to order and had to flag down other waiters to place our wine order, order our entree and even request our check. To describe our waiter, Mark as less than cheerful and less than helpful would be a gross understatement. I hate to write this poor review for it is something that I seldom do.

My date's meal was just "okay", mine was pitifully tasteless. Cocktails were good, not fabulous. I don't expect huge portions, and I appreciate that this restaurant uses fresh local ingredients, but the portions were small for the price paid, especially when the food was not delicious. Shouldn't fresh/local taste better? The chef needs to add some flavor to his/her concoctions. I won't return, sorry to say.

Small but good selection of craft beers and large wine list. I had the scallops dish and it was excellent 3 very large one over black eye peas n sausage broken up patty. The flavor of the dish really good. Expect to pay with a drink n tip about $50
Little hard to find the place with the area construction
