The food was amazing, and the ambiance was very romantic and private. We both loved it and will come back again. The only thing I wanted to note, our waiter was too rushed. We were there for a romantic date. Bought champagne. Went all out. There were two other tables in the restaurant other than us an our waiter was running around acting like the restaurant was busy. I
understand he wanted to work hard, but if i had one suggestion would be to let him know to just calm down. Take a breather. He did amazing and the tip reflected as such. But for a relaxing date night. He seemed a little too frazzled. Other than that. Amazing restaurant.
I have heard of this place for years and finally went. It's definitely unique but I don't feel like it lived up to the charm that I had heard about. It's private, which is nice but decor is old and dated. The menu was something I'd recommend to people over 50. Old time food.
It was average
Had a great time. Would go again, the food was wonderful and wait staff was very attentive.
Enjoyable evening. Server (Alicia) was very attentive. Appetizers and entree crepes were delish. Excellent gluten-free choices.
Had a great meal the week before so decided to bring my parents down for a meal. Appetizers were great, had French onion soups and mushroom Florentine. For the main course the veal seemed to be in the wrong breadcrumbs and was quite bland. The lamb rack was a little over cooked and the sauce it came with was congealed. The mash had very large lumps of potato. The mussels however were excellent. For the deserts all the types of crepes we tried were good. As for value, a little on the high side for what’s on offer. My father had a side of mushrooms which came to $9, wasn’t too impressed with that. We also skipped the beers as usually we see twice what a liquor store trip would cost, here though domestics are $9 and imports are $11. I don’t think we will be returning based on the overall food experience. The service as before was excellent but couldn’t compensate for some of the food.
When i booked it, I told them it was for my 50th birthday. They did nothing to recognize that, no free meal, not even a free dessert or happy birthday. I also asked the waitress for a picture of our table, which she said she was too busy and never came back to do, so we took it ourselves.
Food was very good, but very expense for what you get.
My husband takes me to The Creperie every year for our post-Valentine’s Day date. It’s always amazing and I LOVE the ambiance.
We booked. Family dinner on family day 2 months in advance! We had tickets to a production and decided to make a full special day of it
Dinner was a Christmas gift!
During the 2 months the restaurant had our reservation. They did not bother to contact us to say they were CLOSED that day we received a voice mail from “Tina” on the day of reservation stating they were closed and didn’t notice our reservation till the night before
If they bothered to contact us the night before at least 24 hours notice would have been given . They did not and on such a special family occasion we went tech free and did not get voice mail till after we went to a closed restaurant .
We were not happy and had no notice to find an alternative restaurant with no reservations.
Our House is shift work and university students having a day together was special for us and a dinner out was a Christmas gift
We visisted on a quite Sunday evening and it was fantastic. Food was great as always and the ambience can’t be beat. I have been enjoying the Creperie for many years and it does not disappoint.
Been going here for thirty years the prices have increased extensively and the portions especially apps are crazy small for the prices
Overall it was decent, but a lack of communication between the kitchen and the servers lead to a disappointing end to our experience.
Amazing customer service, ambiance but the food was not up to French standards.
Veal needed seasoning and rice was cold.
We went on Valentine’s Day and the menu was fixed. The crepes were ok but seemed to be filled mostly with a thick sauce. It wasn’t as busy as we thought it might be but we were seated in an aisle beside the busing station so there was a lot of foot traffic as the staff were cleaning tables. Overall not bad but I will book earlier and find somewhere else for next year.
Service was good but the food was bland. We ordered filet mignon and salmon and they were both nothing special. We didn’t think the ambience screams romantic although there was someone playing the violin on Valentine’s Day. Plus my wife was the only lady that didn’t get a rose at the entrance, they didn’t anticipate the number of people eating that day considering we booked a reservation way in advance.
was a very nice setting, lobster tail was not cooked theu also mixed up our steaks. very nice setting though.
Great meal. Would go again.
We have been to The Creperie many times. we go because of the food, and the atmosphere. Service has always been outstanding.
Four adults went to celebrate a birthday. We each had the 3 course meal with the addition of the deep fried crepes as an appetizer. It was just over $200 for all of us- no alcohol was had. It was a great meal with very good service. I loved the ambiance.
Beautiful place. Went there in the Fall of 2017 and back again for a birthday. Both times, the experience was superb. One of the best places in Edmonton. Would absolutely go back there!
I can count on The Creperie for consistently pleasurable meals in a restaurant with a romance-cultivating atmosphere. A personal favorite.
I hadn’t been to The Creperie in a long time and was quite disappointed with the experience. Although the decor is very charming and our server was very pleasant and attentive, the food is nothing to write home about. Part of me is so disappointed because I feel the restaurant has such potential. My boyfriend and I had the Escargot a le chef which was ok. If you have had good escargot before this dish is very underwhelming. The sauce seemed watered down and somewhat bland instead of rich, buttery, and flavourful. We also shared the Crepe St. Jacques which was good... again not great. The crepe itself was a bit bland and the sauce was most probably artificially thickened. The sides are meh, steamed veggies with a “supermarket spice blend” type seasoning, and orzo pasta which could have very well come from a box.
I’m saddened by my experience. I genuinely feel this place has too much potential and is in need of a major step up in food quality.
A very nice venue for a quiet unrushed dining experience.
French comfort food - always a good way to end a the week!
My only problem was the open table booking site, it was crap. It said no tables available over 5 times. I kept trying got a table and there was no one in the restaurant other than another couple. This on line booking is costing them customers
Ambiance was nice, service was great but I found the food lacked flavour and side options weren't great.
Our server was good but not great. The meau was overproced as was the wine. The atmostphere is excellent. Also tables over 7 watch for the 18 percent added to the bill.
The price blew us away at $300 for a family of 4! Food was good but definitely won't be back due to the price! Also we weren't crazy about a fixed menu this year. We've been going for the past 10yrs, and are disappointed that we can't go back due to the increase in the cost and fixed menu.
Great service, excellent tastes, and great presentation. Our waitress made us feel very comfortable. Parking on a game night is a bit expensive and hard to find. The walk would have been okay if it was not -35 outside. Other than that it was a great experience.
Family enjoyed the dinner crepes. We have tried a bunch of different crepes off the menu and all have been fantastic especially the beef stroganoff
Excelente Restaurante Frances de Típicas Crepas Diferentes a lo acostumbrado!!!
Our family of four decided to try something new for Christmas Eve this year, so we went to The Crêperie. Best decision ever. The food was fantastic and our server was wonderful. We would definitely return. I love that there are options for people who aren’t fans of crepes since my boys are total carnivores they loved the ribeye steak (it was amazing)
Overall the food was good. However half of my personal entree did not arrive as ordered. Also there was four of us. Our table was crowded to the point where it interfered with the enjoyment of the evening. We spent our time juggling dishes and accompaniments because the table was too small. The waitress was friendly however she was ill prepared in the service of wine.
Amazing food and atmosphere will definitely be back.
A nice place, great service. Food was just average tasting compared to what we were expecting from the main entree menu.
We celebrated my wife's birthday with daughters, sons-in laws, and grandchildren. It was arguably our most memorable restaurant birthday celebration. The Creperie is an Edmonton institution and has not lost its 'special touches' over the years. We were placed at a semiprivate table that included drawn curtains. The grandchildren could 'reasonably' play with each other. And our space was sufficiently quiet for good conversation at a large table. The service was personal. The food was great. Lots of choices on the children's menu. Some of us had crepes while others ordered from the meal selection. There were also vegetarian choices for my daughter. My filet minion was 'to die for'. The wine list is sufficient and well priced. We will be back the The Creperie for another family celebration.
My lady and I were celebrating our 5th anniversary by dining here and seeing A Christmas Carrol at the Citadel. We have been have several times, and return because of the food quality, excellent service, and ambiance.
A couple of years ago we heard that the restaurant had been sold, and were afraid it would close. Thankfully it has not.
The server was very attentive and offered to take picture for us.
Amazing! I went with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and I requested a private table and it was perfect. Thanks so much!
Ambience and food were great as usual. Unusually poor service which was disappointing as we were celebrating Christmas with out of town guests.
