Hands down the best restaurant in Seattle. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the drinks are spectacular. Service was impeccable and incredibly friendly from start to finish. The prices are pretty high, even by Seattle’s standards, but it is worth it. Definitely a great place for a date night or a special occasion.
So very disappointing. This place has been on my "must" list for 3 years. We finally went to celebrate a special occasion and it was extremely disappointing. I could have had better quality food at a family chain restaurant for half the price. My friend and I ordered our steaks done the same way. Hers was under-done and mine was over-done. The lobster was horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I treated myself to an early Birthday dinner. My lobster bisque was full of lobster and my tenderloin was cooked perfectly.
Fantastic through and through. Wvery part was great from service to food.
This was my first time a Capital Grille. Overall the food was excellent. We had Salmon and steaks, all of which were cooked to our desired temp and seasoned well. If anything the Salmon was a little sweet, but very good. My biggest disappointment was the value. While the food was good it was not significantly better than many other restaurants that I have frequented. All of our meals were $40+, which I found expensive for the quality and quantity offered. But overall still a very good experience.
THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS FOR SEVERAL YEARS. PARKING IS AT THE DOOR SO WEATHER IS NOT A PROBLEM. STAFF IS COMPETENT, FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATES.
ALL THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT. EXCELLENT STEAKS. GREAT APPETIZERS. JUST A VERY EXPENSIVE GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE.
Aram is the best!
Great place to celebrate. Food was cooked to perfection! Staff and our waiter gave us 4 Star service!
Perfect spot for date nights. Great food, exceptional service and cool environment. The steaks are always our go to, along with the lobster Mac. It's our go to restaurant every week.
We've always received excellent service when we've dined at The Capital Grille. Thank you.
So my first review mentioned the $10 hit for valet parking regardless of how much you spend during your meal and before any tip to the people actually doing the work. It's still the procedure and I still encourage the powers that be to evaluate it for possible elimination. Its enough to keep my business just down the street. Now on to the experience inside... This was for a birthday celebration; kudos to the staff for having confetti on the table and a nice card with birthday wishes. Wonderful touch. Second, to our server Joel, world class service and extra touches at every turn. If service was like this every visit, I'd almost be a regular (ex. parking). The menu items were delicious and perfectly plated. High marks for everything to do with the meal. One suggestion, although plenty of seating was available, our table was two back from the door. While not noticeable at first, as the dinner traffic increased so did the regular cold blasts from outside. Please consider adding a screen so guests aren't subjected to jolts of 40 degree air coursing above and below the table. Overall much better than usual. Try the prawn cocktail and the pear salad. Two yummy items to set you up for dinner. If your party includes at least two, consider splitting an entrée. They are large and potentially too much for one guest.
As always, Capital Grille provided a wonderful holiday meal. Excellent food & service. Thank you so much!
The attention to detail and service great! The food was a good value for Easter brunch. Had a wonderful treat!
Capital Grille was not our 1st choice but we were delighted they could accommodate us for dinner. The service, wine recommendation and food were all excellent.
The food was great. The service was excellent. One of my colleagues with a restricted diet unknowingly ordered a meal that included a cheese she was allergic to, and she wasn't able to eat it. The manager noticed this, suggested several alternatives, and quickly served a replacement meal. All without even being asked. They really take care of you here.

Dinner with best friends
Wonderful dinner. The service was great, as was our entire experience.
Best lobster Mac n cheese!
Everything is great for us from the service to the food, drink and ambiance. The staffs has gone along way to help us that night. We are very happy with their above and beyond customer service.
We're definitely coming back to Capital Grille and highly recommend this restaurant.
Our experience started the moment we walked in to the restaurant. Amazing food
Had to send back the salmon. Undercooked. Next piece was unfortunately overdone. Service was fantastic. Not a fan of the Ipad for drink menus, a little impersonal considering the price point. Would still return, love the ambiance and customer service.
Was our first time there and we were not disappointed. Our server Matthew or the tentative sociable outgoing friendly when we go back will request him.
Food was awesome, wine list was even better.
My husband and I enjoyed every experiences that we have had with Capital Grill Seattle. Everyone from the parking valet , host, server to the manger, everyone was very attentive! Making our dining experience super memorable!
Service was great! Arrived after happy hour but they allowed me the burger. The French onion soup was delicious! The hubby wanted steak. It was the Kona cooked to a perfect medium rare. Perfect food and perfect service.
Yummy yummy dum dum
Could’ve used more attention by he waiters especially on a non-busy, rainy Thursday night.
Great dinner. The food was excellent! The entire team was very appreciative of the outing and the location. And cognitive that this was a very special occasion.
The wine list was interesting, as it was a tablet. This is neat but there should be a way to adjust the contrast of the screen. It was too bright in the dark room and it hurt my eyes. I actually prefer a physical wine list and not a tablet. We look at so many screens a day and for long hours, the last thing I want to do is look at a screen for ordering my drink.
Concern was that the prices didn't match that of the menu prices we looked at online before booking, which was very uncomfortable when dining/ordering. Items were $ 20-30 more than expected on entrees.
We had a spectacular time at Capital Grille. When making the reservation, I indicated we were celebrating a birthday. Without instruction from me, our table had birthday confetti and a card wishing the birthday man a wonderful celebration. They offered complementary sparkling wine and dessert. It was a delightful way to celebrate.
Service was impeccable. Friendly, well trained, professional staff made sure our every need was met. Water glasses were never empty, our server and the manager checked how we were enjoying our food. What’s more, we have severe food allergies and the staff were so gracious, careful, and helpful. We had a delicious meal. My husband, the birthday man, had the ribeye steak, baked potato, and mushrooms. My son ate the filet with baked potato. Both steaks were cooked to the perfect slightly rarer medium rare we requested. I had lobster with clarified butter.
We couldn’t recommend Capital Grille enough, and if you want a spectacular server, ask for Humberto.
Wonderful service (thank you Rod) and fantastic food/wine.
We went as a party of 10 and we had a great time. Most of us ordered different types of steaks available on the menu and all of us liked what we ordered. the wine selection is great and we ordered two bottles of the cabernet franc. we are definitely coming back.
We were dining here after a day at Emerald City Comic Con. The day was exhausting and we were looking forward to a lovely dinner. Shortly after my arrival, I became ill as a result of general exhaustion from the day and was unable to enjoy my meal. The wait staff was so understanding and caring it was service above and beyond - they packed up my dinner with care so that I could take it home to enjoy later - which I very much did. We will be dining here again and I look forward to enjoying my meal on-site next time.
Thank you and much appreciation to Carlos - whose service and care was truly above and beyond.
The entire experience was excellent .
Really classy, and excellent food. They made the two birthdays really special.
We waited a very long time for our food. Kitchen must have been very overwhelmed. Then some dishes not hot.
As usual, The Capital Grille was wonderful. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Thanks to Christopher for helping us have a wonderful evening.
Quiet, good service, nice cut of steak and excellent wine choices. Will definitely come back.
Not the Capital Grill I have been to in the past. Table not ready and we had to wait over 30 minutes with no place to set. Then when we were seated we were given a table in the busy walkway after we requested a table in back in quiet area. We told the table so we did not have to wait longer. The lobster I got must have been placed under heat because it was all dried out. We went for Maine Lobster and they did not have another one. The manager did her best to fix the problem . The steak was over cooked and the garlic spinach was way too salty.
The desert and drinks were all great. Our server was also great and did his best to give us a good time. The front desk should have read the reservation and had a table ready for us a more quiet area. Does no good to make a reservation if the restaurant does not have a table ready. I wanted the people with me to like this restaurant but they said will never go here again. While waiting for our car another couple was there and also saying the restaurant had gone downhill. The staff there was really great but the kitchen needs help.
Went for a birthday dinner. Table was close to kitchen and noisy. The hosts were very accommodating in getting us another table in quiet part of restaurant and made this a great experience. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The food is excellent and service was outstanding. Will definitely be back.
Came for a good steak. Both steaks were very good but not great. Sides were rather basic, baked potato with only a bit of butter. Wine was good but pricey ($20/glass).
