The Capital Grille - Boca Raton Ratings and Reviews
Disappointed in the bartender of a high end Resturant switching my selection of wine to a cheaper one . Apparently she must of thought I wouldn’t notice . After sending two glasses back the waitress informs me “the bartender said they changed the flavor” seriously ???? Is she kidding ! Had a good laugh though !
My wife and I don’t like to go out on New Year’s eve so we usually celebrate the night before with a nice dinner. We like to call it our Pre– New Year’s eve dinner. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we felt welcome. The restaurant offers a small corking fee which is great if you’d like to bring your own bottle which we took advantage of.
The food was very good along with the presentation and service. The only negative that I can think of is that the appetizers really are limited if you have a shellfish allergy.
The service went right along with the food, very good! I would not hesitate to recommend everyone trying this restaurant.
This was a terrible service experience from start to finish. I am from Boca and know how Boca service can be so it takes a lot to rock me. Our waiter was dismissive, forgetful, distant, unhelpful. It was clear he was chummy with big ticket item tables and lacked regard for us entirely. A guest at our table had to physically walk to the waiter stand to get water because he had waited so long for a refill. A manager oversaw this and did nothing. The bus boy for our area also repeatedly backed into my mothers face at one point his behind was inches from her nose. Everyone reached across guests to pour wine, water, serve food, etc. The service was so bad we forwent the dessert (which we were planning on getting because it was an engagement celebration dinner) because we just couldn’t wait any longer.
After we finally escaped the slow death of dinner the valet was just as bad. They were messing around in someone’s car blocking people from getting in, and when it was finally our turn to get in three valets stood staring at us and not one held the doors open for me or my guests.
A truly abysmal night in the land of service and hospitality.
The food was delicious but not good enough to endure the relentless waiting and ignorance of upper management of the restaurant.
I will never go back to this Capitol Grille.
This was our third time at Capital Grill and this visit was the best overall. The hostess brought us to a table next to a family with small children, and very quickly we asked to be moved to a quieter area where we could enjoy our dinner with our friends. Our waiter was attentive and kept our food and drink coming at a very comforable pace. His timing was impeccable. Never did we feel rushed or felt we needed to flag him down. We all enjoyed our meal, we spent about two hours total and never felt that is was time to leave. I ordered the veal chop, my husband, the chicken, friends had the lamb chops and filet. All of us were plesased with how good everything tasted. We walked out, full, and satisfied.
Comfortable setting. Lobster bisque and steak tartar were excellent appetizers. Above average service. Dry aged rib eye was cooked to perfection, but overly seasoned. A dry aged cut of meat should speak for itself and not need excessive salt and seasoning. Salmon was well prepared and plentiful. Sides were exceptional. A nice Boca fine dining experience.
It took a good10 minutes after we were seated for anyone to come over. I had to ask for a wine list it was never offered. Ceaser salad very dry. Porterhouse ok not worth the price. Tuna tartare I have had much better. Flavorless! Apple tart all dough very few apples.
Food is outstanding and consistent. Service at first was amazing. Then we couldn’t find our waiter to save our lives. He dropped the check and didn’t come back for 25 min. No one could find him. A shame bc if it weren’t for that we would have left very happy.
