Ambience was beautiful and my gf's steak was great. My chicken wasn't very good at all, the sauce was very salty and I felt like I could've went to Nandos Peri Peri for better chicken at half the price. It actually made my stomach queasy for the next two days and it didn't seem to be thoroughly cooked. I wouldn't recommend going if you don't want beef or seafood.
Wonderful meal and amazing service! Never disappointed!!
Very crowded, which is a good thing. Six of us were there for dinner for my birthday
Server was fabulous, ordered the onion soup, which was delicious
Then the Lamb Chops medium rare plus...one was well done, one was fatty . The other two were fine.
Creamed Spinach was lovely. They brought me a desert which they always do, if it is a special occasion.
Best restaurant ever!
My family chose The Capitol Grille to celebrate 3 March birthdays. Our server, Lane, was very knowledgeable, personable and professional. She was a huge part of why we had such an enjoyable evening. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious and presented beautifully. We loved the surprise birthday desserts. I highly recommend the Capitol Grille for your next special occasion.
Our server was new to the Capital Grille, but I hope she stays with you a long time. Layne Dobry was attentive, responsive and was there all the time to refill our coffee cups, etc. I wish I had known that you cut up the filet when you put it on a salad, as I would have prefered to have the 6 oz. filet in one piece instead of three or four.
Food was fantastic, service was very good. Had no issues at all. Food is pricey, but you get very good value for what you pay.
Delicious food with several options to choose from. $20 pairing plates offer an affordable option with plenty to choose from. Highly recommend the lobster bisque when it it the soup of the day and the Burrata Salad satisfies all major food groups in one delicious dish.
It was the absolute best experience. Food was excellent, hospitality was GREAT. I’m looking forward to dining there again
This location is always amazing. The service and ambiance is impeccable. We always request Eric Jenkins as our server, because he makes us feel special, and attends to our needs.
Birthday, food was good and so was the service. The free dessert was delicious.
Always a good time for family or business. The CG really knows their business and caters to their customers.
excellent steak cooked to perfection. all in all good experience. only complaint is they were slower than Christmas and bit pushy on pricey add on foods i really didn't want ;
for dinner reservation of 6pm we were not done until 1.5 hours later. Seemed a bit long to me and unwarranted.
Meal would have been better if had flowed a bit better without pregnant pauses between courses.
Steak perfectly done, service was on point. Loved that they offer reserve wines by the glass using a coravin, perfect for getting a nice glass of wine with my lunch.
Food and Service was beyond expectation, perfect. We were celebrating our Anniversary and always thought of Capital Grille as a quiet, romantic, fine dining restaurant. We were seated next to a round table of twelve 20 something’s who were extremely loud and annoying, if they weren’t getting ready to leave we would have ask to be moved. After we were there for about an hour they sat the table on the other side of us to a family of 5 with the son wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants and one of the women wearing a ball cap. Clearly it is not fine dining any longer except in price. One of the employees said their business has been way off because of the City crime but I believe the down grade in dress code is also a part. One of our favorite restaurants but not sure we will go back.
Great experience in a classic steakhouse. Amazing hospitality and a stellar culinary experience. Worth every dime!
I know we were late for our 8p reservation , we had to wait for awhile to be seated . The place was crowded - it was Saturday . By the time we’re all got seated we’re all hungry we had to asked for more bread ... no doubt everybody loves the food they ordered. It was a little dark in our table and tight - there’s barely a space to move freely once you seated . You can reach over the other tables . That’s how tight . Probably it’s the aisle where we seated .
My wife and I like this restaurant- and service and food this night were both good. On this particular night the host stand got the night off to a less than stellar start. We arrived for a 7:00 reservation at 6:55. The two young women were just overwhelmed by what was going on and they said we would have to wait. The bar was jammed packed so there really was nowhere to go, so we just stood around and looked stupid until about 7:07, when a manager finally jumped in and started seating guests himself. As we walked through the dining room there were many places they could have sat us, the hostesses were just not able to handle things. We were seated in a private dining room that had two other tables occupied at the moment. The young manger did not bother to ask if we mind sitting in there, and I really was not looking to get into an argument about it since this was supposed to be a nice night out, so we just took the seats. When we left and saw how exciting and vibrant the rest of the restaurant was, I wish I had asked to be moved out of the little kids tables. I felt like we should have gotten a discount to sitting where we were. Train you hostesses better and when you push guests into the annex- ask them if they mind sitting there- then you will get 5 stars from me. Our bill was over $300 so I am expecting the whole thing to be good.
Another excellent meal. Great food, great service. Celebrating our anniversary and they went out of their way to make it a great occasion
We celebrated our 37th Wedding Anniversary at The Capital Grille last weekend and, while we didn’t share that information with anyone on staff, I can’t imagine anything they could have done differently to make the evening more special. It was the perfect dining experience. We enjoyed superb food and efficient service that filled every wish without being intrusive presented in a relaxing setting that was neither stuffy nor sloppy. Our waiter, Manuel Harris, deserves mention He is a professional who made us feel more like guests than patrons. This is a restaurant we will visit again!
Taylor behind the bar was fantastic!!
Always top notch. Never disappointed. The steak just melts in your mouth. Services was amazing. Albert did an amazing job.
We always love Capital Grill but this time our steaks were not hot. We have never had any problems before so maybe it was just an off night.
Not impressed... the parking situation had me mad because there was no valet. Then the sat me and my mother way back in the corner where their staff runs in and out of this door which made things very unpleasing because we pasted plenty of tables and booths... the noise level was higher than expected... the steak was bland... im not goin back. The things i liked was the manager and my waiter i this his name was eric
Great Pittsburgh Porterhouse Steak. Perfectly cooked. Layne, my waitress, although new to the business handled all as a long time pro. Personable and highly efficient. Would recommend she be requested
Our waiter was the best I’ve ever had
Disappointed that we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time to get a table
And this after I had to start pestering the hostess that we’ve been waiting. I honestly think that she would have just kept us waiting had I not said something because she was seating other people that came in after us who had later reservations. Very poor job of the people at the host area
What a great Valentine , Capital Grille was outstanding , I should add that it always is , Tonight our ServerMarcus was very good
With it being a very busy night , He was very nice never felt rushed and everything came out perfect .
Very nice Valet Staff also very helpful
I took my wife there for dinner on Valentine's day which was also my wife's birthday. We both ordered one of the specials which was a filet and crab cake. Both of us ordered for the filet to be cooked medium. I had just began to cut into mine when a manager came by to asked if everything was OK, and I said yes. However, when I cut deeper into my filet, the inside was completely raw. I ate the edges, but could not eat the inside part. By the time this had happened, the dinner was over for me because I didn't want interrupt the flow while my filet was further cooked.
It is too bad, after spending a good amount of money for a special occasion, it was ruined for me.
This is one of my go to restaurants when traveling because of the consistency with the service, the quality of food, and great wine selection. Makes business travel a little more pleasant.
I must say this was one of the best experiences I've ever had eating out. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was amazing. Our waitress Elissa was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and very friendly with a very warm and inviting personality. The managers James was very cheerful. This was an excellent first experience and I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Had arranged for a Special Birthday Celebration for my Wife with my Immediate Family . Wanted a Round Table that would seat a Party of 8. Not only did the Capital Grill come through, but sat us in a Private Area, that turned out to be perfect. Not only was the Food Outstanding, the Service was Extraordinary . Ken K. , our Waiter , catered to all of my Family's request and truly made my Wife feel like a Queen, from Start to Finish. He Suggested a Signature Cocktail to Start and guided us through the Menu of Specials and found the Perfect "Lobster" Dish which is my wife's favorite. The Steaks and Chops were prepared perfectly , and served promptly. Sides were Great, Too!!! Ken topped off the Evening with a Special Dessert , and even took a Family Picture of us as a Special Remembrance and his personal Gift!
Capital Grill lived up to its Reputation, and Provided exactly what I wanted , for my Wife.
We will be Back!!!
We made reservations for my wife's birthday and there were 8 of us. We were seated almost immediately and they sprinkled confetti balloons on the table and gave her a birthday card. The waiter was very polite and explained everything on the menu and what was available off menu. I never had to ask them to refill my water glass and the timing of the appetizers to salad to entre was perfect. The filet was very good, I could not cook one like that, but I was not impressed. The ambiance was perfect. Very rich atmosphere, almost Victorian. overall I would give the Capitol Grill a 4.5, maybe next time I will try the Porterhouse which my friend got and was raving about.
Early Valentines Dinner in the Harbor. Everything was delicious, our server Jackie was fantastic. We ordered an appetizer that we did not care for and without a blink they took it off the bill. Hands down one of my favorite places.
Capital Grill never disappoints. Best steaks in Baltimore, and service was outstanding. Josh was our server, and he was great.
Overall our visit was awesome. Unfortunately the restaurant ran 45 minutes behind even so we had reservations. Service was wonderful and the food was excellent. My husbands steak was over cooked but in no time the fixed it.
Professional, courteous, efficient and the food was outstanding. This was my first visit but it will not be my last. Believe the hype!
always a great meal. steaks were cooked to perfection and the lobster tail was excellent!
