My husband and I went for restaurant week on a Wednesday night and the experience was amazing. The customer service was excellent. Our server Aubrey took great care of us. The views are amazing and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Great seafood. Disappointed that we were never offered any bread. I commented to the waiter about my disappointment, and he said, "Oh we serve bread only to the people who ask for it. We never offer it or bring it automatically."
My oysters were terrific and my rockfish was cooked perfectly. Excellent seafood!

Lobster bisque was excellent, as was the oyster flight and cocktails. Caesar salad lacked dressing and the scallops tasted like ammonia, a known sign of decomposition. I was with an out of town date and was too embarrassed that the scallops at such a nice place were not good that I didn't say anything to my server. I regret not sending the dish back; she mentioned the odd taste as we discussed our meal after on the way home (she had the scallops special, I had the shrimp and scallops pasta).

a really funky building, but the lighting too bright and no tables outside left. Great waiter, food was good but "fully priced" . we had oysters and other seafood and were not disapointed, but it was not particularly imaginative menu.
We found The Boathouse food and service ...
We found The Boathouse food and service to be above average, but the prices were high enough that we will not be going back for a second visit. I paid $29 for the crab-stuffed shrimp, which was five smallish shrimp, each topped with a 1" ball of crab cake mixture, a serving of mashed potatoes and 4-5 asparagus spears. Salads are not included, costing an additional $5 for a little house salad or $8 for anything else, like a Caesar or a lettuce wedge. My wife is a small person and not a big eater. She enjoyed her eggplant Parmesan for $18, finding the eggplant to be nicely crispy, but she easily finished her entire entree when she is accustomed to carrying home half of what she orders. To recap: good quality, smallish servings, and high prices.

Had a lovely evening with friends and colleagues, with the glass doors open and a gentle breeze. The food was excellent, the rockfish with crab was delicious and my friend rated the scallops as the best he's ever had. Service was efficient, warm and friendly.

We met a long time friend from Texas for a nice dinner on the river. I requested a table with a view of the water for my 93 year old mother. We had a wonderful view and enjoyed the ambiance with great friendly service. The food was ok, my rockfish was not special and our friend's steak was a little rare. Fried seafood platter was heavily breaded. Have been here for Sunday Brunch which was excellent!

It was a lot smaller than I had thought. The patio was closed for the season? The food is pricy for the little portions. $14 for 8 shrimp appetizers, $36 for 2 scallops, 4 shrimp, 1 crab cake, 3 pieces of asparagus, and small portion of mashed taters. The food was good. Kind of disappointed in the portions though. Kind of felt cheated. The southern fried seafood had a nice portions. I thought with the name boathouse there would be more seafood choices. The server, Arif, was very nice and polite, and the bartenders were very nice also. It was very clean and quiet. We had reservations for 5 but arrived at 430 for drinks. Not sure I would go there again, but I wouldn't turn it down if the crew was going. All the staff was very polite.

I was celebrating my birthday with three other people and after we were seated it took 15mins for someone to come over to ask if we wanted something to drink. No apologies for the wait were given. After that....everything was great.

We had great experience. Having been to Boathouse in Short Pump, I thought I knew what to expect. Maybe it's the river, or the "not in a mall" setting, whatever the reason, this was so much better than I thought it would be. Our server was perfect. She brought what we needed and wanted, but did not annoy us by over-checking. The food and drinks were done perfectly. It was a very memorable evening.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Boat House. I am happy to say they were all accurate. Everything about my wife and I's experience was exceptional. The staff was great and the food was amazing. Also the portions were generous and we both left stuffed and couldn't even look at the desert menu! I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I visited this restaurant for a friends' get together while we were all in the city for business. Our waiter was excellent. Half off wine special (we got Viognier) was exquisite. The food (I ordered the salmon wish mashed potatoes) was divine. I recommend this restaurant 10 times over. Definitely a favorite in my list of restaurants while traveling.

The worst dining experience ever, because there was no dining. Our reservation was 7pm. Upon arrival we were told it would be 15 minutes before our requested outdoor table would be ready--other diners were lingering... No problem we went to the bar and ordered wine, $16 a glass, after 15 minutes we were told it would be another 15 minutes, okay, we'll wait, another round of wine at the bar. After waiting an hour I asked to speak to the manager, who proceeded to be rude and offered nothing for our inconvenience. Thanks for ruining my birthday dinner Boathouse.

The Boathouse at Rocket's Landing was a great experience. I took my girlfriend out for her birthday and they were more than accommodating. Between the great atmosphere and service to the great selection of food, it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend anyone to go there although it is pricey. Definitely try the Norwegian Salmon.
