Texas de Brazil - San Antonio Ratings and Reviews
Worst waitress I can remember. Never stopped talking, told us her life story, her kids' life stories, her political views, why she did what she did, why we should listen to her, etc., etc., on and on, ad infinitum. And while one certainly likes a server to be attentive, she never left us alone for more than a minute or two. Constantly hovering, all while drowning us with her endless, incessantly drivel. We were there for my girlfriend's birthday and had her son dining with us. We all agree this woman ruined the evening. The food was wonderful, but I can't recommend this place for fear someone I know will get this horrendous waitress serving their table.
Service was awesome and relaxing atmosphere. Our waiter, can by at the right times and made sure we got the meat selection we wanted and kept the glasses full.
The food was excellent, as always. While my grandson dined on the lamb, I enjoyed the flank steak. It has a great spiciness to it that kept me wanting more. The salad bar also kept me heading back. It's minor, but the coffee was just lukewarm. The whole family even said on the way out it was there favorite restaurant KUDOS!!
Service was awesome! Our waiter, Dennis came by at the right times and made sure we got the meat selection we wanted and kept the glasses full.
The food was excellent, as always. While my wife dined on the lamb, I enjoined the flank steak. It had a great spiciness to it that kept me wanting more. The salad bar also kept me heading back. My one complaint was they did not have the mushrooms there, which I love. It's minor, so it's not the thing to keep me away.
My wife even said on the way out that it was her new favorite restaurant. Kudos!
My fiance and I had a great experience dinning at Texas De Brazil. We were celebrating our anniversary and everyone was so happy and very attentive. When we ordered a desert they even wrote happy anniversary on the plate with 2 candles and we loved it. They even payed for our desert. I love Texas De Brazil, plus the food is amazing :)
Texas de Brazil is , hands down, the BEST brazilian steakhouse I have ever been to. The food is amazing, the cuts of meat are just how you ask for them. The salad bar is well stocked and everything on there is delicious. It is an amazing place and truly worth the price. I suggest getting on their mailing list for BIG savings. I am a bit upset that their wine angel was not working that day due to malfunctioning equipment.
We went for the experience with the Wine Angel but the cable was broken so we missed that experience which is great. Food was good, service was excellent but part of the cost in my opinion is for the entertainment and they didn't have that Saturday night so it was a disappointment since we had family from out out town.
Our son-in-law calls this restaurant "a Meatatarian's delight," but he tends to forget the fabulous salad bar. Texas de Brazil is our favorite place to go for special occasions, even though it means a 150-mile drive each way! The salad bar is awesome, with a wide variety of uncommon and delicious offerings. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The meats are so very delicious - the beef offerings are always tender and flavorful. Treat yourself!
The staff was prompt and courteous. Our waiter was knowledgable about the menu items and attentive to our needs. The hostess visited the table and asked if we were enjoying our evening. The food was delicious and the salad bar has a good selection of food to choose from.
I was so impressed that I will never go to Fogo de Chao again! Not only was the salad bar and food amazing, there was a trapeze artist doing tricks the whole dinner. My husband is military so after dinner and two alcoholic drinks the total was $88, that's NOTHING for the meal and service we got. Also got a free dessert for our anniversary. I was so impressed, it's now my go to place for special dinners.
My wife Jackie took me for a belated birthday dinner. We had a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived for the valet service, til the time we left, everything was on point! The Salad bar alone was phenomenal. The sides: fried bananas covered in butter, cinnamon and sugar, loaded mashed potatoes, and little cheesy rolls, we're great. The service was excellent! The meats....OMG! A carnivores dream! Make sure you show up hungry. Well worth the price!
I absolutley love Texas De Brazil. I come to the one in Dallas at least once a month. But this location I received the filet cold twice. Please don't let this happen again to another customer. I will give 5 stars only because my job relies on surveys. And I know the feeling to have a bad survey.
The food is good, if you're a medium rare type of person this is your place. Just the only issue is the waiters expect a high tip, regardless of their level of service. I had service once at this 8$ a plate restaurant where I noticed the server walking around with a coke ready to replenish mine at any time, vs here our waiter didn't get one till our second request. At this 8$ a plate restaurant the waiter went out of his way to call us by our first name, at Texas De Brazil our waiter seemed unhappy. Needless to say one got 200% tip while the other got 15%.
Everything about our experience at Texas de Brazil was excellent. But before I continue, I must say this restaurant is a direct rip off of Fogo de Chao, like an EXACT copy cat.
That said, it was excellent! The service was fantastic. Our waitress explained the different cuts of meats, had which cuts we wanted brought to the table, readily replaced our dirty dishes, and did some fantastic up-selling during our dessert course.
The meats were excellent! You know you come here for the meats right?? I prefer mine medium while my colleagues preferred medium rare and everyone was happy. The extensive salad bar had a lot of delicious options, and the wine list had a lot of depth as well.
Would absolutely visit again!
Excellent food and service. Conveniently made reservations online, which were immediately confirmed via e-mail. Called ahead of time to ask for preferred seating area, off to the side to avoid passing traffic and was accommodated without any difficulty. Service was great, servers name was Arlene. Valet service was great, helped us out after closing hours. The food was amazing. Salad bar was outstanding, and the meats were worthy of the occasion. The lobster bisque was delicious. Will definitely be back.
