Great Lunch last week. Food was awesome, service great, rustic decour and ranch atmosphere is unique. We'll be back for dinner and drinks with friends!

As always, food was amazing, and service very good. They go out of their way to make sure you have a memorable dining experience. Loved the BBQ chicken pizza -- 1/2 price wings - delicious and finally enjoyed a caesar salad made to perfection!
Gem of a restaraunt.
Food is fantastic, as is the service and atmosphere. My sons favourite place to go for dinner and dessert with a more mature atmosphere.

We were there for Mothers Day Brunch. It was really well done. From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left the service was incredible, food and drinks were great. Symons Roadhouse never disappoints!
Brunch was very disappointing, food selection was poor and it took so long for it to come out. Mothers Day Brunch was a fail.

We went there for their Mothers Day Buffet. Very poor selection of food, the food that they did have out was cold (due to one stereo burner for every two trays) Service was fair to poor. We were very disappointed. We won't be back
Amazing Service! Great Atmosphere!
Service was wonderful! Brunch menu was a tiny bit limited, but the food was delicious! The atmosphere is adorable: fun, cozy but open, perfect for the weekend.
We met a group of friends for drinks on wing night and while we waited for them to join us, we ordered a BBQ chicken flat bread pizza. It was very tasty. The wings are smoked so not what you would get at a bar for wing night but they were good. (Our group was a little disappointed that you couldn't get any dipping sauces besides the dill sauce that is served with it). We felt the food was a little costly for the amount served but will just try something different the next time. Our waiter was very entertaining and very accommodating to our group. We are looking forward to trying the BBQ Buffet night.
Experience at Symons Roadhouse
The food was quite good however the service was extremely slow. Felt they forgot about us for not only appetizers but also main course. We wanted to have dessert but after slow service we skipped dessert because we couldn't stand waiting for it.
Excellent Food and Atmosphere
I've been to the Symons Valley Roadhouse a few times now and every time it has been great and exceeded my expectations. The staff is very friendly, attentive and funny. The food has been amazing every time for everyone I've dined with there. The ribeye is the best I've ever had and that's saying something. I can't recommend it highly enough. The atmosphere is also great. From the lighting to the tables and the antiques, it is very unique and has a great ranch/homey feel to it. The tables appear to be all antique and well loved (but in good shape) in their previous life and they are all different shape, sizes and styles. It sounds like it would clash, but works very well. All I can say is if you haven't been to this gem of a restaurant you need too.
Saturday night out
We were eight friends eating at the roadhouse. The table was not ready although a reservation was made. No steelhead trout available, cider to drink and their last pound of muscles which was ordered but waitress dropped then. All food was great that was order, received and eaten. Service was a little slow and the manager took the price of the appies off the bill at the end of the night and apologized which was a nice gesture.

We had the Tuesday night BBQ sampler buffet. All the smoked meats - chicken, pulled pork and brisket burnt ends (brisket with some char and fat) were excellent, the side dishes were awesome and the desserts were nice. Great, friendly service and old country tunes to match the ambiance. Absolutely will go back again!
A GREAT PLACE TO EAT IN THE COUNTRY
A NICE DRIVE. GREAT SCENERY. RUSTIC DECOR. GREAT FOOD! AND THE FARMER'S MARKET ON THE GROUNDS!
Really enjoyed out appetizers and pasta. Had a great visit with owner. Looking forward to going back when there is live music.
Enjoyable western night out
Great place if you like the western theme. Good food. The mussels were an excellent starter and the main course beef was perfectly cooked. The dessert fell short as the toffee pudding was over-cooked; crispy instead of spongy. Attentive service. Music a little loud. Overall an enjoyable experience I would happily repeat again.
Just simply fabulous!
Amazing food, amazing environment! Tried out the Southern BBQ buffet on Tuesday night and it was very yummy!
We found that the selection was small. The food was a little on the cold side and the rate they refilled the chafing dishes was very slow. My kids had little to choose from. Coffee was included however juice and TEA was extra. Tea? Our server was great though. Very prompt and friendly.
Ran out of Mussels.....
My friends and I went specifically for the mussels but the restaurant ran out that night (they were apparently waiting for shipment that same day and it never arrived). We were disappointed but the rib-eye was delicious as always. Our server was also friendly and pleasant.
Saturday brunch Easter weekend
We booked for our Easter brunch on Saturday. We had family in town to join us and didn't want to go for brunch on Sunday knowing how busy it can be anywhere. The first thing we ordered were mimosas. The bar was out of prosecco. That's an huge fail for a brunch location; and I found this place listed in the 10 best brunch spots in Calgary. The waitress didn't offer an alternative. Also the place where we sat was very dark, though is was a bright, sunny day outside. Otherwise, the food was good. We decided on Caesars as our alternative and they were good.
In our opinion quite overpriced. Went on a Wednesday evening for dinner. First of all--not all beer on menu available, next--some main course items on menu not available. Could hardly see lobster in lobster poutine. Brisket had no flavor and dry. Bone in rib eye had some flavor but fat bone etc almost more than edible meat( one persons opinion). Only saving grace was beer and wine were on for $5. would not likely return.
I've been here about 6 times now and have had consistently great food and service. No complaints!
Good value with Travelzoo
The food was very good, I ordered the rib eye steak. It was cooked to perfection! The only thing I did not lie was the horseradish was on top of the mashed potatoes and I hate horseradish. I asked for a new potato I was charged 5.00. The portions for the brisket are very small. With the travelzoo coupon it made it reasonable but my husband said he would not pay the prices they charge for the amount of food. The only meal ordered with the 4 of us that was worth 30 plus dollars was my rib eye steak.
A gem hidden deep in the NW. Locally owned, they are trying to bring foodie culture to the suburbs. If you live in Kincora, Sage Hill, Evanston, Panorama, or even Royal Oak, go here! And don't miss the corn fritters, they are amazing!
Finally a Great NW Restaurant
Symons Roadhouse is amazing. Serving staff were attentive but not invasive. The corn fritters and jambalaya were excellent. Great to have an awesome local restaurant!!
Short Rib Poutine!
Copious amounts of succulent smoked beef short ribs and cheese. A winner. Crispy chicken was fabulous.
The food at Symons Roadhouse was very good. It is a pretty casual atmosphere in a ranch style and hearty food. The night we went had 1/2 price appetizers so that allowed us to try two different appetizers that we would not of tried otherwise. The lobster poutine was awesome and the beef brisket poutine was as well. We couldn't decide which one we liked best because they were both so different and good for sharing. The pizza / flatbread was also very good but a bit on the small side. The spaghetti carbonara was really tasty, rich and a fairly big portion. I would definitely recommend going there.

WE had the best rib steak I have ever had, truly cooked to perfection. Our waitress was enthusiastic and easy going and a joy to be served by. We went on a weeknight and the dining room only had 3 other couples. I understand that the upstairs BQ and bar area is a real fun place with live music and a dance floor. I can see us trying that out!
We met up with 7 friends for a great brunch on Sunday. We were seated at a rectangular table at the end of the restaurant. It was perfect. We could all talk to each other and we could hear the responses from others. They even have a stack of lovely cushions, so those of us on the wooden bench had comfy support. The food was great. The corn fritters are an indulgence well worth a treadmill afterwards. We all had breakfast food although the option of sandwiches or salads was there. The Banana French Toast was tender, tasty, and tantalizing. The Eggs Bennie were delicious. The Denver Omelet was packed with filling and arrived hot as it should. All the accompaniments of potatoes and fresh fruit were great. The coffee and tea poured non-stop and after 2 hours we all agreed that we will return to the Symons Roadhouse for brunch again. The service was fantastic and a shout out to Davon, our waiter, who has served us before and always makes us feel so welcome.

Service- very good. Ambiance- pleasant. Value- poor. Food- needs work. Goat cheese salad was sparse, simply having arugula with some goat cheese and 4 thin slices of beets does not suffice. Wing starter was good in flavor but it would have been nicer with a little crisp instead of mushy skin. On the other hand, the aioli served with the wings was fantastic and the French fries delicious! Beef Brisket was a bit too dry and lacked flavour, sauce, as well as presentation. I expected more from this restaurant.
Excellent! We had wings as the appetizer....outstanding! I had the beef tenderloin....cooked to perfection, the potatoes and I substituted the spinach to carrots...outstanding. We shared the brownie sundae for dessert....outstanding. This has become my favourite restaurant! We wer celebrating a birthday. Our server was outstanding also!
Great food, terrible service!
Food was excellent, really good drink specials and decent price point. The waitress was poorly dressed, did not know the menu, was extremely slow, brought the bill to one of the couples in our party and left the rest of our group for 45 mins before bringing the rest of the bills. We sat there with empty drinks and waiting for the bill, was very frustrating and nearly ruined the entire experience.
Valentines Dinner could have been better...
Our 4th visit here for a special occasion and disappointed items we ordered were not available. Tried to get a Blackberry Collins for the second consecutive visit and it's not possible. Eliminate it from the menu and print new ones. We decided in advance one of us was ordering the Smoked Beef Brisket and was told they were out by 7 PM. The 2 ladies at the table next to us thoroughly enjoyed theirs served 15 min before our entrees. In a restaurant at half capacity that's POOR planning! The only reason we drive 1/2 hr one way to this place is the food & I thought the Goat Cheese Salad ordered and enjoyed at each previous visit was sparse. Perhaps running out of beets and hazelnuts too? The rose on every second table was a nice touch if you happened to be seated at one of those...so close. I'm not in a hurry to return and would rather spend my cash elsewhere.
Will Be Back
Valentine's Day dinner in a lovely rustic style restaurant with many beer on tap and amazing food. Not cheap, but definitely very good. Highly recommended

Throughly enjoyed our dinner. We've only live here for a year and have tried various restaurants and this is by far the best one yet!!!! Definitely be back!
Less than expected
We went here for the first time with friends for my birthday. Seemed nice. Good service. Wings were good. Corn fritters were GREAT. Poutine was crazy overpriced. The pasta was a lot more like soup. I ordered the rib eye which was supposed to be basically the most popular thing. I was really looking forward to it. Was put off by the taste right away, but kept eating cause that is who I am. Just couldn't get past it. Kind of seemed like too much seasoning/salt. I'm 6'4" 215lbs and I left half of it. I did complain and they took it away and offered something else. Also took it off the bill. There was no problem with the service. The problem was that I woke up at 2am woofing my cookies, or steak in this case.
We found the restaurant to be open and spacious. Not too noisy. Friendly staff but most of all Fantastic food. I would recommend to anyone

My husband and I love coming to Symons Roadhouse. The food is amazing and the employees are welcoming.
Symons Roadhouse is located in the rustic Symons Valley Ranch which houses the local Farmers Market. The decor is rustic western and very inviting. The menu is gourmet using high quality local produce when able. The mussels & fries and the lobster poutine are to die for! Staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely good for date night or family night with the kids! Can't wait to go again
