SUSHISAMBA Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Eh. This restaurant is never what I expect it to be, especially for a strip location. I was probably a generous with the star ratings. The service was definitely not swell, took way too long between courses, and the restaurant was not full. They did not anticipate our needs for silverware, or other items like soy sauce . Food itself was ok. Nice for a late night bite and it was close, but would rather make the drive to spring mountain/china town for their cuisine.
The food was absolutely outstanding. We wanted to try a bunch of different things, but didn't really know where to start on the menu, so our server asked us about allergies and brought us 4 different dishes, all of which were stunning. If you are adventurous with food, I highly recommend just letting them take the reins and trying a few dishes! #studentdoctorchef
We ordered some additional food, and there was a misunderstanding. They brought 4 times as much food as we thought we ordered, but they were very adamant and inflexible about taking anything back. The whole meal cost us a fortune (over $1050 for 7) as a result.
Business Dinner with customers at convention-8 people for 8:15 pm. Place was packed and they couldn't honor my reservation request to be seated in main dining room. Put us at a table on the outside of restaurant area that was roped off to accommodate overflow, so we got no feel of the vibe or ambiance of the place. Nothing fancy at all about the table set up either, very plain. They then dropped off food to our table no less than three times that were supposed to be for another table. The first time they dropped it off, our people started eating it thinking it was some sort of tuna tatake complimentary appetizer. I asked for menus and the waitress did not want to give them to us, instead telling us to just let her know what sort of food we liked, and our budget per person, and they would do a feeding. I politely declined and asked to see menus. She continued to argue with me making it an awkward situation in front of customer. I had to insist several times and it got to a ridiculous point before she finally relented. This is the same thing they did to us when I ate here for customer dinner a few years before. Needless to say I won't be going back there for future dinners. The food is really good though, and everyone enjoyed what was brought out. It's just extremely expensive for what the portions they actually serve you, and its not the best sushi rolls I have seen by far, even though you would think this place would be the best at sushi (rolls are extremely small too).
This is the 4th time we've been to Sushisamba. This place is amazing. The best decision you can make is to let your server make all the food decisions for you. Tell them how much you want to spend per person, whether you like more raw or cooked options, and they will bring you some of the most delicious food you've ever eaten. Can't say enough how great this restaurant is!
Wonderful service at this very noisy, crowded restaurant. Loved the Hokkaido Scallop and the Shrimp Tempura. Cannot recommend the Chicken Teriyaki at all. The server saw there was a problem and made sure we were not charged. The other two dishes and the excellent service made up for that one miss.
This restaurant never disappoints. If you are adventurous, let the staff create your menu. The portions and amounts you get to try are unreal. The staff is always fantastic , and they know the menu inside and out. My husband and I have gone just the two of us, and recently with a group of 8 friends. Everyone was blown away, we would return every time we visit Vegas, it's that good.
We've eaten here quite a few times...the food is excellent and the service is great...however...they pack so many tables and so many people into the place that the noise level is thru the roof that you can't hear yourself think and you are literally sitting on top of people! We will not be returning.

I LOVED (almost) EVERYTHING! My first time for sake=delish! The appetizer OTSUMAMI had disappointing EDAMAME, beans 'correct' and peppers fantastic.
The AMAZONIA roll (vegan/plant based) SOOO GOOOOOD we had 2!
SEA BASS.. (small plate) tie with TAO....melts like butter..yummm..peruvian corn also a treat.
Atmosphere ...they were kind and gave the 2 of us a 4 top (hate small tables and love sitting by my guy).. dark, cozy..but will probably try bar seating next time.
ALL IN ALL this LOCAL will be back!
Food was stellar but service was terrible. Several of us paid with credit cards and our server lost one of the cards; he vehemently denied that he had it and after 20 minutes of us looking all over our table and shifting them to find it, he came up and said that he found it. And had the nerve to charge it. Pathetic. If your customers spend 20 minutes looking for something you had all along- you should be very apologetic. If anything, he was annoyed with us. The one in South Beach is 10000x better service wise.
