Spindletop Ratings and Reviews

My Redfish was very good. But, my date ordered vegetable plate. On it, were Yellow carrots, halved Brussel sprouts and asparagus. My plate also had yellow carrots and have Brussel sprouts. All of those vegetables were absolutely disappointing and inedible. The carrots were hard, the brussel sprouts were hard and the asparagus were hard. I would not of expected this to happen in this top notch restaurant. It was a complete surprise and a complete disappointment. Each of those vegetables should've been cooked longer so that they would soften up and be edible. Neither of us ate any of our vegetables. I paid about $60 in Uber ride there and back to Katy. It was a big waste of money. And as I said above, other than the tremendous redfish, the rest of the meal was a complete disappointment. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to Spindletop. I Pains me to make this review, but I am just being honest.

My wife and I have been wanting to eat here for awhile and finally made an excuse to go.
Food was excellent with healthy portions. The wine broth in the sea food pot is fantastic. We also ordered the seafood pasta which was loaded with sea food and sausage.
Our service was also top notch, not to mention the views are incredible. Recommend.

We booked this for our 20th Wedding anniversary and was extremely disappointed in the food and service. The service was not the professionalism you would expect fir a fine dining establishment. The food was very mediocre for fine dining also. I didn't even eat the dessert I ordered. The chef walked around to speak to customers but it seemed like his duty instead of him truly wanting to know our opinion. We will not be back.
The 2 positives, the hostess staff were very friendly and the view is absolutely breathtaking!

In my opinion it was expensive for the quality of the meal. I was traveling and dinning alone and $83 is a bit much for dinner, when I could have gone many places that would have had better salmon and better wine for much less. But at least I did not have to leave the hotel.

You're paying (a lot) for the view and the experience of slowly rotating while you eat. This is what we expected and what we were going for. But I did not expect the food to be as bad as it was, or the restaurant itself so lackluster. We're not going back.

Wait staff was good. The food preparation was excellent. Meeting the chef was outstanding. Unfortunately, there was a table next to ours with kids crying and the noise level was not pleasant. We were our anniversary and I was truly hoping for a cozier atmosphere.

Sooo I booked them for my 1st wedding anniversary and requested roses at the table as a joke but to my surprise they had rose petals laid out on the table! The view of downtown Houston at night was perfectly romantic with the smooth rotating rooftop restaurant. The food was awesome from the seafood Mac & Cheese to the wonderful seafood dinner for two. Also, there was great fine wine to compliment the food. Lastly, it was the staff and customer service that put the icing on the cake with a card signed by the staff! They get 5 stars and an A+

Exciting place, scenic views, rotating floor, and delicious food. The service was excellent. I was bummed that I did not order the correct champagne bc I didnt know better. The waitress said she had it for her wedding so I went with it. But it was a sparkling type red wine. It was not "champagne" to me. No matter my GF loved it.

Some newer, taller buildings have obstructed some of the view, but overall, Spindletop provides a beautiful 360 view of the city. The food is excellent. The kitchen only uses fresh, organic ingredients. And the service is fantastic. I went for Houston Restaurant Weeks, and everyone was super friendly, especially the waitress. She's an older person, and from what I could tell, she'd been working there for a while. She's the sweetest person you'll ever meet, and she was super helpful in describing the menu choices and the wine list. If you're looking for a romantic night out or you just want some excellent food with a gorgeous view of the city, make a reservation to Spindletop at the Houston Hyatt.
