Simply Fondue - Ft Worth Ratings and Reviews
We love dining at this Simply Fondue. We enjoy sitting at the bar and trying Jordans amazingly delicious one of a kind drinks and talking about our travels. He makes drinks especially for your liking and makes sure its better than you expected.
Our dining experience is always exciting and fun and there is plenty of options to choose from no matter what type of meat you prefer. I always choose the garlic chicken and tuna. My other half enjoys the beef and pork and he always gets a different mix every trip.
Groupon has great SF deals too. If this is an option for your date night out; don't pass it up!
Johnny was our waiter and was personable and very knowledgable. He made our evening most enjoyable. The food was delicious and plentiful!! We were a party of 4 so we got to have several options to share. We did the Sharp cheddar and the Swiss Chalet cheese fondue. so good with the breads and the veggies. We did the chocolate fondue, with fresh fruit and treats. Fabulous ending to the meats and seafoods we cooked in the hot sesame oil. We did scallops, beef, chicken and tuna along with vegetables. Our only complaint would be a better ventilation system as the cooking oil made our eyes burn a bit but the foods and fun overrode that a bit. The drinks and wines were excellent as well. A wonderful evening as we were there about 3 hours to enjoy the total experience.
Place was really loud. First time trying fondue and felt rushed and bother by repeating themselves. So, it wasn't the greatest experience being rushed and not knowing what, was what, including the spices & sauces. There was also a wheelchair on the path which felt was a fire hazard. This could have been folded or placed elsewhere, so inconvenient to run to the restroom. They don't have much specials on drinks. Paid over $100+ for two and didn't feel it was worth it.
We went to celebrate a birthday. We had a great time and the food was wonderful as usual. We got the 4 course meal option and started with a greek and ceaser salads. Nice presentation and the lettuce and greens were fresh. Then we had the aged cheddar cheese. My boyfriend had never been so I let him pick the cheese. It was good, I would have preferred another cheese better, but he has the same eating habits of a child. lol We selected the veggie broth to cook our meats in and it tasted nice. After the dinner I selected the bananas foster chocolate and oh ny word is it good! Although we were stuffed we could still enjoy a few bits of dessert. We had a nice time and we will be back.
We came here using a Groupon, so it was a unique experience. I was a little concerned with the chicken not being cooked properly based ion the times the waiter told us. After just 3 minutes it was still pink inside. Otherwise it was a great time! Next time we will skip the meat and just do Cheese and Chocolate
This was our second time to dine at Simply Fondue. The food was amazing, although the service was slow. We spent a total of 3 hours there for the 4 course chef special. There were a few hiccups in service -
remembering allergens, bringing extra items on time - but everyone was very kind and professional. I will definitely be revisiting in the future!
Good service, waitress was super nice (that first time working and want to do the best possible character you see in movies), food was pretty good a little salty for my taste but still good, and chocolate dips were awesome too, some reviews said the cheese was way too salty but it wasnt salty for me and my girl friend (we eat very little salty food so if it was good for us then its okay for most others). Made it easy to decide whether or not the overall deserved a tip of 18% or more
Was a fun experience and we especially enjoyed the dessert, dipping fruits and treats into melted chocolate!
However, the entrees were not at all what we expected and in retrospect, really don't think it was appropriate. You go to a restaurant like this to dip food into stuff - that's what you expect and that's what you get with the fondue starters and dessert. But re entree required that we literally cook our own food - grilling over boiling hot, continuously popping and really smelly oil. Not only was this dangerous as I was hit in the face with scalding hot oil, but I felt dirty and covered in muck when finished. In fact our waitress had to bring us call towels for the burns on our hands and face. I was expecting to receive cooked food that I would dip into fondue, instead I was forced to cook my own dinner and I really didn't like that.
Went here for my birthday. Don't get the oil to cook meats in, it burns you and smokes if too hot. We had to leave early skipped dessert because my eyes were burning so bad and painful from the smoke. Washed our clothes we wore there 2 times to get out fry oil smell. Waiter was nice, seating was not the best. Food was yummy besides trying to juggle not getting splattered with hot oil for entree.
