Simon & Seafort's Ratings and Reviews
We dined here for our anniversary as we have done in previous years. Husband had the scallops which he loved. I order rockfish only to be told later they were out. I then ordered the salmon and it was ok. The server was personable and attentive. Overall a good place to dine.
Busy Sunday night so we understood our server not being able to see us right away. He was very professional and courteous. There weren't any huge problems but just a bunch of little ones with multiple orders either being wrong or forgotten. They were corrected quickly and appreciated the staff taking care of it so quickly.
I always enjoy the food selection and quality as well as good service at Simon's. However, the noise level can be quite loud and make it difficult to have a conversation. Definitely not somewhere I would go if I wanted an intimate dining experience. I will be back.
We have eaten here many times and were happy with the food. This time, the breading on the scallops was soggy underneath the crust and the halibut was over cooked and the crab morsels with the halibut were very strong....not tasting real fresh. The refill on the coffee was cold.
We visit Simon's several times during a typical year. During our most recent visit several areas were not up to the standard that typically excel at Simon's..
I would recommend Simon's to all my friends and business associates for the location, atmosphere, food and beverages...
Went to celebrate 29 years of marriage this Valentines Day. We're most a meat and potato couple so we got the rock salt rib eye meal but we also ordered the seafood sampler appetizer. We enjoyed everything. We RSVP'd early enough we got a window seat but the table and chairs are pretty close together. We had to bump into our neighbor just to seat ourselves which wasn't great. Also, the chairs give the appearance of age as they squeak and feel like the legs could give way. They need to look into this. Service was great. Our waiter received a sizable tip as a result.
Went to Simmons for lunch on Valentine's Day and everyone was so nice, and the food was fabulous!
I had reservation for two and we had one more person join us and they were so nice, to find a table for three! Thank you Simmons ! ❤️Love this restaurant! Highly recommended it for any occasion!
The quality of the food has been going down the last few years, however the service is very good to excellent. We were extremely disappointed in the presentation of the food , the quality of the food for the price that we paid for a Valentines dinner. My significant other first noticed that this has become an issue that has gotten worse the last couple of years and expressed interest for us to change our traditional Valentines dinner to another restaurant after all these years of going to Simon and Seaforts.
The food was just blah and it wasn't cheap. The scallops in the pasta (pasta lacked flavor) were pretty raw, the cod special was nothing special. All I can say is yuck and blah, especially for the price. We eat out regularly and don't mind paying for good food, but it should be unique, interesting, attractive, flavorful, etc. Each time we go to Simons we always say we won't go back and yet about once or twice a year we want to give it another try. Calamari appetizer and artichoke dip were excellent. service was very nice.
One of my best meals at Simon and Seafort's, to date. This meal was a "Chef's Tasting Menu" selection. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the service provided by Amber was great, and the food (crab-stuffed rockfish) was served hot and timely. The dessert sampling trio was very tasty, and much more than expected. Good job Simon and Seafort's.
Had a get together with friends and had my two little ones with me. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our servers were attentive and helpful. The food took a while but once it arrived it was delicious. I am coming back to try the prime rib soon.
Our server was polite but inattentive. The restaurant was not busy ( 3-4 tables when we were seated, 2 servers). The server came by once to check on us, after the meal we sat there with the plates for 20 minutes or so waiting for him to come back so that we could cash out. I was thankful that we had scheduled extra time from work for the event or we would have been late. I was getting up to request a bill when he came over. The service is my only complaint. The food was wonderful as always.
I've been to this restaurant a number of times. The Prime Rib is always delicious. Unfortunately, this time the restaurants noise level wore on me. I had to ask my wife to repeat things, and I even had difficulty hearing my waiter. It was simply too noisy to truly enjoy simple conversation. Additionally, the wait time between when we'd see our server was a bit long, and he seemed harried. Even forgot to bring me a steak knife, and never showed up to check how our food was, so that I could have asked for one. I'm less likely to return due to my experience this time.
