Si Bon Ratings and Reviews
You can never go wrong with anything that you order. The appetizers and entrees are simply delicious. Had the Goat cheese stuffed zucchini flower appetizer that was amazing. Ended up with the Mussels and Pomme Frites in garlic sauce which was also magnificent. Others had sand dabs which they enjoyed as well.
This was my second visit to Si Bon, both were very positive experiences. Server was attentive and food excellent. Restaurant is in a strip mall, but relatively nice one. We had dinner on this occasion, lunch on the first one. They serve Belgian menu with other items added. I would gladly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
Overall, out server seemed very distant. At this price point, I also expected polished service. I asked for no anchovies on the Caesar salad and received anchovies. We ordered asparagus and received creamed spinach. For a meal costing over $100 for two people, I expected more. They can and should do better.
We love Si Bon and enjoy coming here for special occasions (and just dropping by). We had a lovely evening celebrating a friend 's birthday. Excellent food, excellent service and always a great time. I had the meatloaf which was delicious and the sand dabs were wonderful. And the brioche bread pudding with Vanilla sauce was to die for. You won't be disappointed.
I came back to my place in Palm Desert for a night to pick some things up. The one thing that made driving in from the cool weather in Newport something to look forward to was knowing I was going to be able to dine at my favorite restaurant in the desert. The friendly service and wonderful food would be tough to beat!
We have loved Si Bon ever since they opened! We are regulars and love their food, service and friendly staff! Everyone is great! Especially Frances their manager! :) Their chopped Lobster salad, Fresh wild mushroom soup, brussel sprout shaved salad, hanger steak, pastas, all are outstanding!
My fiancé and I have eaten here a few times as his parents live in Palm Desert. This past visit was the best one yet. We started by sharing the House Gravlax on a Goat Cheese Waffler as an appetizer. For my entree, I had the truffle Mac & Cheese, and I had to stop after every bite to say how delicious it was. He had the Brussels Style Wiener Schnitzel and could not stop raving about how delicious it was as well as how many great sides were included with the meal. The only negative about our visit to Si Bon was that we were too full for desert. We will definitely be back soon!
The wait staff is fantastic & attentive without being intrusive. The food is always excellent, both regular lunch and dinner menu and house specials. You are given the time to enjoy pre-diner cocktails & appetizers before entrees are served. Good affordable wine and beer selection to compliment the meals. Adrian and Ruby at the bar are phenomenal!
Love Si Bon!!
As many times as we have eaten there, and there have been many, the food and service is always outstanding!!! We enjoyed Sunday brunch this past Sunday, I had the best egg and ham crepe ever, it equaled the ones I enjoyed in Paris!!!
I highly recommend Si Bon for lunch, brunch or dinner. You will not be disappointed!
Expansive menu with options for all types of food preferences. Good food and somewhat satisfactory service. The prices are in line with food quality, but not for such a casual ambiance. The restaurant is bright, but almost too bright for evening dining. Seats are metal & there are no tablecloths. I had the mussels in yellow curry - good, but the curry was rather bland. Others in our party had fish & vegetarian options. I think everyone concluded that the food is good, but bland.
