We're long time Shuckers fans but attended for New Year's Eve dinner with friends. The restaurant is small, but the service was great (thanks to our server, Jay!) and the food delicious. Shuckers specializes in seafood, but our teenagers all found great entrees (burgers, fish and chips and fried chicken) so everyone was happy.

My husband and I ate here on 29th Jan for dinner. I had the special king prawns in garlic with fries. Delicious sauce and huge prawns! Really good. And fresh.
My husband had prawns to start then crab cakes - both delicious too.
Good service, friendly.
Worth a visit!

If perfect service is what you like, Shuckers is for you. Oysters? Of course! A helpful staff but not obtrusive staff? You've got it. This restaurant is perfect for most any occasion - family get togethers or business lunches or even a date . Seattle is full of noisy casual spots - go to this old style restaurant for good food and be treated like you own the place.

Food was decent. Portions were good. Our server was horrible. He was slow to come and take our order, did not check on us at all and we sat with our dirty plates in front of us for a ridiculously long time. I did not feel like the service was even close- especially for the prices. We will not be returning.

We were on our way to a play at the 5th Ave Theater which is only 1/2 block from Shucker's. The menu is basically a seafood menu. The service by our waitress Yelena was outstanding, both timely and friendly without being pushy. The food was excellent. A bit on the pricey side but for the occasional visit, worth the price.

Outstanding selection of fresh shucked oysters from puget sound. Unique baked oysters as well, included smoked ( simply exceptional) Olympic, Rockefeller & Provençal. Fresh seafood entrees included black cod (sablefish) wild, seared scallops; all expertly prepared with Brüssel sprouts side dish displaying an enjoyable umami flavor notes.

Anytime I feel like oysters, this is the place. Seafood is always fresh and perfectly prepared. The only off note this occasion was a fussy child at a neighboring table. But that, of course, was not the restaurant's fault.

Best oysters in Seattle and great seafood. I visit Shuckers every time I am in Seattle. The oysters are the best in town and I have yet to have anything other than a truly great meal no matter what I try. Service is professional and responsive and the bartender makes a tasty Manhattan. Shuckers is a popular spot so a reservation is recommended.

We always enjoy a visit to Schucker's before going to plays at the 5th Avenue Theater. Convenient location close to the theater, great oyster preparations, great service and warm atmosphere. Although almost always busy, never too noisy. Can have normal conversations without straining to hear. Definitely make reservations.

We ate dinner at Shucker's two times during our trip and had wine and oysters at happy hour. Our food was excellent. We ate cippino, oysters, steelhead, and halibut. All of the seafood was outstanding. It was fresh and prepared perfectly. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Darla is our favorite server. We have made Shucker's a tradition for our family.

I was looking forward to trying something new and the menu looked delicious. And the food did not disappoint. My Steelhead was smooth, flavorful and perfectly cooked.
But the service did not match the food.
We arrived a few minutes late, mostly because we couldn't find it. Maps took us to the front of the hotel and there were no directional signs inside. After walking the block, we finally found it. Upon arrival the hostess was unenthusiastic. Once sat, we felt rushed to order our drinks, but then sat for a lengthy time before our dinner orders were taken. Our server promised to return to take our orders but that was delayed by several minutes.
When our food finally arrived, we informed our server we had another event and that we needed our check. She promised to keep us moving so we could be on time. Instead, we had to wave her down to get our checks, 10 minutes after we had told her we needed to be gone. She then undercharged us, and while we were signing the checks took the from us to add a missing beer. In the end, we were over 30 minutes late to the next event and left feeling wholly unsatisfied.

The food is great. The event was my wife's birthday. The service is also great. We had our favorite table by the window. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes good seafood and a overall good restaurant experience.
