With a name representative of a mythical Japanese multi-species beast, NUE aims to serve a harmonious combination of cuisines from around the world. The founders of NUE have been avid travelers and desired to bring the tastes they experienced during their trips abroad home to Seattle. NUE's creative approach to their menu ensure that, while menu items may change frequently throughout the year, their dishes will always be innovative and delicious.
A top favorite on NUE's menu is the Trinidad Goat Curry. The fresh, tender meat is slow roasted and seasoned with Caribbean herbs and spices. The dish is complete with a helping of pineapple cornbread. Another top hit is the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, which is served with black bean dirty rice.
In 1832 the Pioneer Inn and Tavern Law established the right to enjoy imbibing in public bars and saloons. The Golden Age of spirits and cocktails thrived for nearly a century until the Volstead Act of 1919 outlawed the production and consumption of alcoholic beverages, nearly destroying the craft of the American bartender. However, in hidden rooms and dark basements, thirsty patrons still sought after the indulgence of spirits. The Speakeasy was born and thrived until the repeal of Prohibition in 1933.
At Needle & Thread we specialize in craft cocktails inspired by the middle 19th to early 20th century bars and saloons. Because we believe that no two palates are alike, our primary focus is hand-crafted cocktails to suit your particular tastes. We pride ourselves in using precision techniques, fresh juices, house-made syrups, bitters and tinctures; in order to provide you with an experience that is a memorable and rare delight.More
A restaurant where the taco is seen through eyes in a multi-climatic corner of the world. From behind temperate rainforests and intricate waterways, across peninsulas and desert-like climates…there is no need to import anything when some of the world’s most unexplored and beautiful gems reside here.
We cater the experience of each guest, by way of a customized menu to suit every time of day. From lunches to happy hour snacks and drinks, to a guided dinner and late night bites.
It all revolves around the question posed by our chefs: What if the “Taco” originated in the Pacific Northwest?More
