Seasons 52 - North Bethesda Ratings and Reviews
I am a big fan of Seasons52 for its terrific food that doesn't make you feel like you are breaking the "calorie bank." We both had shrimp and grits (mine was without the chorizo and bacon). It was truly succulent and warming on a cool breezy night. They have a terrific Caesar salad, which we split, as it is a hearty portion. And, the desserts are to die for--very tasty and just the right amount (if you want the taste, without the undesirable side effects). I think their wines could be a little more reasonably priced. And, the service was too close. Not sure why waiters think it is better to stop by often on a quiet weekend night, when we were engaged in conversation, so it would be nice if that were better understood. But, overall, a terrific meal on a nice quiet weekday night (as the decibel level is a little too high for me on busy weekend nights).
My husband and I went to Seasons 52 for dinner after an excellent concert at the Strathmore Concert Hall. The food was excellent, the choices were many, all tempting, and the ambience was perfect after a wonderful musical Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend this restaurant, and we are planning to return to it fairly soon
My wife and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy, but the reception desk was in disarray. There was a waiting line of people without reservations. Despite the fact that we had reservations, the hostess seated a couple in front of us who did not have reservations. Then the clerk realized the mistake, and they made the couple who had mistakenly been seated get up from their table. Not surprisingly, they left the restaurant. Despite all this, our meal was very good. Big, healthy salads. My wife had the scallop entrée, which had eight scallops, which is more than she usually gets with such entrees. I had the seafood paella, which was good but not really Spanish style. Our waiter was attentive without being pushy, and I would rate the service very good, which is a complement considering how busy the restaurant was. We would recommend this place to others. Overall, very good.
We've been there twice and both times, the service was excellent. The waiters/waitresses are attentive, knowledgeable and ought to seek employment in a high end restaurant. Seasons 52 has mediocre food, the kitchen doesn't time delivery so literally our entrees have landed in our laps at the same time as our salad and appetizers. It's loud, way too loud, cramped, dark and confusing. It's like a TGI Fridays with upscale waitstaff.
I came here for Valentine's Day and of course, it was packed to the brim and waited until the time of the reservation before seated. This of course, was expected on this type of occasion. The food was interesting to say the least, but there were some high points. The flatbread is insanely good and would recommend that to anyone going here. I had the lemonade, which was fresh and very light with the meal, not too acidic, which is fantastic. The entrees is where I feel the restaurant fell flat and de-valued the experience and loss worth. I ordered the filet mignon, which was seared too much on each side, which was over cooked 1/4 into each side. The side I ordered (truffle mac n' cheese) was lacking cheese and was incredibly tasteless! The SO ordered paella, which was watered down. Why was it watery? C'mon! I expect for the price (around $30 for entree, not including sides) that these be actually good and well executed.
The deserts are spot on and are the little shot glass style design. This is well executed.
I won't be back, just not worth wasting more money here on poor entree execution, it had potential, but won't win me back.
We had a 6:15 reservation for Valentine's Day where we were promptly seated in a circular booth in the bar area. What a great time we had, the service was outstanding, Fitz took great care of us and the food did not disappoint. Duck lollipops were nicely spiced and were a table pleaser to go along with California golden beet salad, roasted brussel sprouts, and romaine & baby kale ceasar , those too were delicious as well. Main course lamb shank, boneless short ribs and seasame salmon were all enjoyed, no doggy bags here. To cap it off, we ordered dessert, something we never do but the selection was too difficult to turn down.
Thank you Seasons 52 for a memorable Valentine's Day!
You were recommended to me, so I thought I'd try you on for a Valentines evening with my special lady. I was not disappointed and she loved it. Our server, Romanio was very gracious and truly attentive. My lady just loved your Brazilian Sea Bass and my lamb shank was superb.
The atmosphere was very delightful and we left with a feeling of being more in love. Good show.
We had a nice Valentine's lunch in the bar. We started with a goat cheese flatbread. The butternut squash soup, yellow beet salad, and cedar plank salmon with winter roasted veges were all good. We finished the meal with the key lime and chocolate mini-indulgences. I was disappointed that the restaurant no longer has a low-salt menu, but the server made a note of my preference on the order.
I had brunch which was good my date had the regular lunch.
Food was good. Our server Mike was great also.
Only feedback would be the bread was too salty and took a while to come out/ my date loves bread so he was upset about that but over all great. We eat here all the time
Excellent restaurant. I would have given it 5 stars if management kept the piano bar. It's a shame management has put profits first at the bar. The atmosphere was great when they had a good artist then they tried to safe a buck and didn't get the best artist so they made this unpopular decision to get rid of it at the same time they decided to measure the pour at the bar. Now it's best to pregame before going to seasons or pay the $15 corkage fee and bring a nice bottle of wine.
I would recommend Seasons/52 at anytime to almost anyone that appreciates great food. Mostly because of the FRESHNESS and high-er quality of their food. ALWAYS enjoyable and you can trust what you eat. I liken their product to ethics and integrity in corporate America. They definitely pay attention and are ethical and seem to position themselves so that they reflect a high integrity in their food...down to the plating and presentation.
I had a comment about an appetizer that I got the last time I was there....quality was excellent, product was great, however I was not pleased with the temperature of the food...we had a difference of opinion. So I sent in a note about my experience after being prompted on e-mail. I received a call from the restaurant to let me know they received my note, and why they serve this particular dish with that temperature and suggested the next time I visit, to express how I would like it presented and they will do their best to accommodate my dining desire.
Now that is customer service At It's Best and much appreciated by me...a true foodie.
We went for a Sunday brunch/birthday celebration. The restaurant is well designed and was very quiet-a wonderful change from so many places where you can't carry on a conversation without shouting. A few of the dishes, such as the steak/cheese flatbread, were very good. The kale/chorizo soup was marginally better than what you get from opening a can, and the lobster wrap contained so little lobster, you could barely see it. The inexpensive dessert "tastes" were a great idea but extremely rich.
We've been there many times and Seasons 52 never fails to delight. Our waiter recognized us, and we him! Mustafa was fun and engaging, and every bite was wonderful. Amazing how an early-side reservation (so we could catch a 7pm movie) turned a near-empty place into an every-table-full hotspot. Thanks for a great meal!
If we want a great place to eat with good food, great service and a nice atmosphere we almost always choose Seasons 52. We are always treated like we are special and when we are fortunate enough to have Mustafa as our server our dining experience is even better if that is possible. We never turn down a chance to dine at Seasons 52.
Tonight was disappointing. I brought my parents with me for their very first visit and they said they will not return. Distracted waitress. Noise level very high. Flatbread served burnt. Food came out staggered. Women's restroom very unkept. I usually love Seasons 52 but tonight they really missed the mark.
Tasteless Food - The waiter pushed the "line caught" tuna with a special slaw and some type of sauce. It was dry and tasteless. Very disappointing.
Rushed Service- Each course was brought to the table to us while we were still eating the previous course. Entire meal with appetizers, salad, main dish and desert was under an hour.
Valet Parking - Freezing cold and it took the valets over 5 minutes to get our cars
Celebrating my birthday and wanting a restaurant close to home with a great experience. Seasons 52 provided that. From drinks to starters and my entree which I chose the shrimp and grits were superb. Our server Nicole made sure we enjoyed our evening. We made reservations earlier in the day (thank goodness) because our 7:30 arrival was met with a very crowded waiting area. We checked in and were seated within 5 minutes. I happened to meet a friend there for drinks the night before so I'm glad to have a go to for date night with hubby in the near future.
