Seasons 52 - Jacksonville Ratings and Reviews
We were seated promptly and our request for booth was honored. The waitress was very nice and made suggestions from the menu. We started with the lobster flatbread, which is our favorite and a glass of Chardonnay. My husband and I split the spinach salad, which has raspberry and almonds and a very light dressing. The kitchen was running slow, so the waitress didn't want us sitting around waiting for food and offered us each a cup of soup.My husband enjoyed the corn chowder and I saved my appetite for the entree. My husband ordered the sea bass. The fish was cooked to perfection and served with the black rice which is my favorite. I ordered the tuna steak, which is also served with the black rice and slaw over the tuna. The tuna was delicious, but the sea bass is the best fish entree. For dessert we had the cherry creme brulee and my husband had the pecan pie.
We had a very pleasant evening, the food and wine were good, waiter (Jeremy) was attentive, knowledgeable re the wine and food menus.
Requested to be seated in a booth away from too much noise, one of our party has difficulty hearing when there is too much background noise.
We love Seasons 52. I was a little disappointed to have to send back my the vegetables that came with the planked salmon. They were over cooked to the point that they were almost black and were very dry. I was surprised the chief would send that out. Everyone was finished eating before the newly cooked ones were served.
That has not happened in past visits. We will go back.
From the warm fire at the entry (despite FL..chilly outside due to an evening shower!), and the even warmer welcome we felt at home once we entered. The wine list is excellent, and the menu extensive..My wild salmon entreé was mouth-watering..Our adult son loved the tuna..The only miss-a rather bland risotto as the appetizer (though as it had truffles I had to try it!) We have been many times to Seasons 52, and know that we will always leave after having innovative cuisine served in a warm atmosphere. Come try this seasoned restaurant at the Town Center!
Our ladies group enjoyed our time and our food.. and the ambience..
We were able to visit and hear each other.. something that is missing in many restaurants today.
I tire of having to shout to be heard. Thank you.. for a lovely night out with friends.
Now if you could do something about the traffic getting there.. was a traffic nightmare.. no matter how you tried to get there.. but was worth it once we got in.
OK Asian only I am taking a back by a shorting of the food quality at seasons 52. Sadly this was one of the times. I want out of my way to go there for brunch and look forward to my short rib hash. The short rib, what there was of it, was stringy and not particularly appetizing. That was shot down by the hash which contained overly cook the potatoes without a layer of crispness or much flavor. The manager apologize for the delay in service since the poached eggs didn't make their high standards of texture and preparation. Well the honest answer is they didn't. Oh yeah I'll go back I always love the place and occasionally I feel sad when I am truly disappointed by one of their meals. My wife had a short rib flat bread with the soup and it was fantastic. Such is the luck.
Brought our family with an 8 yr old. 2 flatbread to share was a good move. 8 yr old liked the pepperoni and the adults preferred the scrumptious fig with balsamic. Fish entrees were good as we're salads. The child's menu was too much like all others so the 8 yr old had the Truffle and mushroom Mack and Cheese as his entre. He especially liked choosing a mimi dessert from 6-9 choices.
This is the first time I have been unhappy with Seadons 52. Our server(Patrick) was wonderful but had way too much going on. They had lots of big parties which made the servers over worked.
Our drinks took forever. We actually got our appetizer and still had no drinks. He continually kept checking the bar do I'm not faulting him at all. At one point he came and told us the bar was slammed and he was going to get us done waters while we waited.
Our drinks came after our appetizer was completed and just before the entree.
Again he apologized profusely.
It was just not one of their stellar nights but the food was good as always.
We had an early dinner due to a later movie but it was perfect. We got there at 4, sat in a booth at the bar and our waiter 'Joe' was the perfect combination of patient and attentive. Food was perfect, so much so that I want to go back tonight if there's availability!
I always love seasons 52 I keep changing their menu according to the season giving you lots of options. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, nice happy hour and bar selections. Convenient location to shopping and in between town and the beach. They have good healthy food options and tasty sauces and dressings. Your menu has something for everybody from appetizers two main courses. They have cute little parfait desserts so you don't have to feel like you're burning a lot of calories having one of their special desserts. You can have a great meal without breaking the bank. We went for my birthday and had a gift card and what was left over on that we use that as a tip
Always Good! Our entire family of 5 (3 children ages 11-17) all enjoy dining here. Lots on the menu for all types of cravings. The bar list is creative. The appetizers and entrees are interesting and please all our picky eaters. The dessert "shots" are the perfect ending with and the perfect size so no one has to share! Love it when we are all in agreement!
Waitress, although good, did not have a personal touch and I was left with the feeling that we were just another patron. The ambience was slightly reduced in that a ceiling light fixture in the SW corner of the bar area had a broken cover and gave a somewhat "shabby" appearance to what is an overall great looking interior. But the food was great, we were seated quickly at table in the bar that we requested.
As a frequent diner at S52 (several times per month), I am lately very disappointed in their food. The last several times, the food was subpar. My fellow diners and I have had to send all our meals back to be redone. Sometimes they cannot even get it right the second time around. It just isn't worth the trouble anymore. The first few times, I gave them a pass, as they had always been spot on. However, that latitude is long gone. I told the manager I will not be returning. the meat on the plate for 2 of us, was not only the incorrect cut of meat, but it resembled dog food.
