In the last few years we've noticed the food quality has dropped off. In years past we used to go for special family events (daughter's wedding rehersal dinner, birthdays etc.) and now we cannot see ourselves returning in the near future. Service was good - don't know if the waitstaff were thinly stretched (it didn't look like it, it was a quiet evening. The restaurant was about 1/2 full) but we did have to pour our own wine - an attentive detail that had gone by the wayside. Two of us had the Ahi Tuna entre salad - the tuna portion was very ample, but not the quality of sashimi grade tuna that they used to have and was chewier. The requested hair-line sear was about 1/4 of an inch and there was a fair amount of silverskin to make it tougher. The Alaskan Halibut was had by 2 other members of our party. It was bland and non-descript. Sadly, we left with better memories of previous celebrations but will not be returning.
We had a table of 10- everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the scallops, pork tenderloin, filet, roasted chicken, flatbread. It all was amazing. Waiter was very attentive and we enjoyed ourself immensely. We’ll decide be back
Our waitress was superb! Always a pleasant dinner, never had a bad experience!
I made a reservation at 7 and arrived there 5 minutes early. They told me the reservation were backed up so we would have to wait 30-35 minutes which would have been fine but we waited a hour and half to be seated. Mind you that they were sitting people with reservation at 8, even though mine was at 7 and I had been waiting an hr. Finally we were seated and then the hostess and waitress were giving dirty looks and mumbling under there breathe. We were trying to put in the order when the waitress became aggrevated and said do you just want to talk to the manager and I just wanted to order food. it was an hour wait and we decided to cancel the order. They said ours was just about to come out but how if people seated way before us hadn’t even gotten there food. I understand that it was a busy night but they should have prepared.
Today was Mother’s Day and I had made a 6:30 pm reservation a couple weeks back. We arrived to many people standing around outside the restaurant, we expected it to be busy but this seemed a bit more than I had thought. As I approached the desk I heard people talking about a long wait and was told by the nice young lady at the front that it would be another 30-40.
I should have expected the other issues that were to come when I realized they were offering free wine and champagne while we wait. There was not enough seating in the waiting area and we had our 88 year old father with us.
Our reservation was for 6:30 pm we got seated at 7:13. We put in our entire order as soon as the waitress showed up to the table from drinks and appetizers to the main dish for all 5 of us. The waitress did the best job should could but it was not a good night for anyone from the front or back of the house.
The best part of the meal were the appetizers as they did come out in a reasonable time compared to the rest of the meal. We got the cauliflower which was very good along with the grilled artichokes.
The wait for the rest of the food was horrible. We did not get our main dish until 8:27 and 3 of the 4 dishes were not good. The scallops were very chewy and the broccoli was wilted it was clear the dish sat in the window too long. My daughters pork was cold my other daughters tuna was hard. We only ate the sea bass which tasted nice.
I asked for the bill to leave and was offered free deserts as we did not eat the 3 dinners. The manager took care of the whole bill which was very nice and we appreciated that but a bad taste about the restaurant has been left in our mouth.
It’s not just about the food and the bill it’s the wait times and the over all experience. We will think twice before making a reservation here as it doesn’t guarantee a nice experience.
It is clear the choice was made to over book the evening which did not allow for enough time in between seatings.
It’s been 2.5 hours since our reservation and we still haven’t been served. This is the worst dining experience of my life.
This was my first time going for mother’s day, and this will be my last time going for mother’s. It was overwhelming. But I will return for my everyday visit just not mothers or fathers day
We waited at least 45 minutes with a reservation. When we were seated we were informed that if we got a regular entree it could be an hour and a half before we would get our food. We ended up getting appetizers. Our server was good. They should not overbook
Mother’s Day? Yes
5:30 pm reservation...seated at 5:50. Understandable, busy day
Ordered wine, (over $100), cork dried out, broke on opening
They decant the obviously old bottle, serve it, and it has a funk taste.
Bring new bottle, open it, it’s fine. This process took AN HOUR after being seated
Dinner arrived at nearly 8pm. TWO and a HALF HOURS after our reservation
Turned into a 3 hour meal. Skipped desert due to being completely miserable at that point
Terrible job anticipating Mother’s Day crowd. Seated one hour after our reservation time, took about 45 minutes to get dinner after appetizers even though we ordered everything immediately when seated, and half of the food was barely warm as if it had been sitting awhile. Ever had room temperature steak and flatbread? Our waitress was wonderful and very apologetic, but could do nothing to speed up the kitchen.
Try them on an average day, because special occasions just aren’t their thing.
The food was fine, but after having a reservation waiting almost 2 hours to get the food was not good at all. The waiter tried to keep things smooth but definitely not the way you want to celebrate a special occasion. Many tables around us left without eating after 1.5 hours. Our lesson is to not celebrate a public celebration like mothers day in this restaurant even if we have reservation. The restaurant was filled with more people that it could take, suggest they manage better the amount on people the restaurant can have and still do a reasonable service.
Our party of 9 was at Season's 52 on Mother's Day. Our reservations were for 5 PM, we were seated at 7PM, served at 8 PM. The entry way to the restaurant was crowded and filled with disgruntled guests. We had three small children and made frequent trips outside to let them get away from the crowded wait line. Our waiter was pleasant and apologetic for the long wait for food. The grilled salmon I had was warm if not cool. Other food was brought to us by mistake. The servers seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. We left before the famous dessert selection. It was 8:30 PM by then and both adults and children were worn out.
Took my mother and wife for Mother’s Day and our server Joe was outstanding. We have eaten at Seasons 52 many times and I have to say the normal experience is outstanding, today it was far off the mark. Again our server was great - but management apparently did not have the kitchen staff prepared for the onslaught of Mother’s Day guests. It took about a hour and 45 minutes to get our food and when it arrived some of the vegetables were over cooked and the entrees at best were lukewarm. It will be a while before I go back there
Worst experience. We had a reservation for 2:00 for Mother’s Day. We arrived on time to find the restaurant over run with people. We were told they overbooked and we would have a minimum 45 min wait.
We ended up leaving and found another local restaurant. Seasons 52 did not apologize or offer any options short of waiting.
Very poor management.
I will not return here.
I truly love Seasons 52. The only reason this visit was not optimal was because the service was really behind. It was Mother's Day, but I didn't expect a 30+minute wait for a reservation at 1:30 or for the food to take about an hour and a half. Based on this experience, I will make sure to avoid eating there on any major holidays with or without a reservation. Otherwise, I highly recommend Seasons 52!
I had reservations at 1:30pm....didn’t get seated up 2:30pm....order an appetizer just to be informed that they were out of it....ordered another appetizer just to be informed that they were out of that too. Didnt get my main dish until 4pm and the portion was so small I was still hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends nor family.
The restaurant it was overbooked for Mother’s Day. Disappointed in management for their reservation skills! We waited one hour with reservation, and two and half hours till food came.
Worst experience we've ever had. We made reservations for Mother's Day brunch at 12:45. We arrived and then waited an hour for our table. After we were sat, we were told that brunch ended at 1:00. We immediately ordered for our two children, five and two years old, so that at least they would have something as soon as possible. A half hour later, the waitress returned to take our order. An HOUR later, one dried out appetizer arrived. That's an HOUR AND A HALF AFTER SITTING DOWN.
That's TWO AND A HALF HOURS of waiting for one dry appetizer, with two toddlers melting down. THE KIDS' FOOD NEVER ARRIVED AFTER AN HOUR AND A HALF.
We had had enough. We told the waitress we were leaving, and we had been polite and understanding throughout (we had both waited tables in college). Instead of being apologetic, we got attitude. Instead of being reasonable, we got a BILL. I paid for the drinks we ordered and the dry appetizer, and I told the waitress that the manager would have to take care of the rest.
Mother's Day. We had reservations at 12:15. We arrive today at 12:10. When checking with the hostess she stated they were running behind about 15 minutes. 15 minutes later I went back to the hostess station to check and she stated it would be another 15 minutes. We eventually were seated 20 minutes late. After being seeded it took another 15 minutes before our waitress arrived at our table. Let me just say that she was doing her absolute best to accommodate. It took an hour after placing our order for our meal to arrive. When the meal arrived everything looked great but we found that of the three plates out of four are vegetables were cold. My wife and son ordered the lamb and his was filled with gristle and bone fragments.
My wife ordered as rare but came back as medium. His was ordered as medium rare and came back as nearly well done. My food was exceptional except for the cold vegetables. From the time we sit down until the time we walked away from the table was two hours. Two hours. Upon leaving the restaurant we heard the host stating the reservations were running 45 minutes late. Again this is three years in a row that we have come on Mother's Day and it will be our last. We thought one to two years might be a coincidence but three years in a row is just completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. My wife worked in the restaurant business years ago and she cannot understand how they can create that many reservations knowing that it's Mother's Day and they will have that many people show up without a reservation. So as you can see what started as a 15 to 30 minute wait was at best a 45-minute wait with those with reservations at 2:45. Our guess is that you need to take a serious look at the management of this location. As a side note we have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions with reservations and have never had to wait for a reservation with the exception of Mother's Day and this is including weekends and Thanksgiving days.
Had reservation for Mother's Day which we all know would be busy. Reservation was for Noon was not seated until 12:35. Noted numerous walk ins were seated in front of us which added to frustration. Then placed order for food and it took 80 minutes to get food. The only thing said was sorry for delay but food will be so good it will be worth it. I just felt restaurants who can not handle a holiday should just be honest and not try. There is a reason people make reservations to hopefully avoid what we went through. But then to make it such a delay on getting our food just added to the frustration. We will never go to this restaurant again.
Poor service. Mother's Day brunch, but over an hour wait for food is unacceptable. Food was also not up to standard we expected (we like Seasons 52 in King of Prussia, PA a lot). Inattentive waiter. Had to ask manager walking by why it was taking so long for our food (asked waiter but he never got back to us). Manager took 25% off our bill, but the nice Mother's Day brunch I planned was pretty much ruined. Nothing like crappy service to ruin an event.
As always, I say this place represents a great value. I especially like the $3.00 desserts. Not too big or expensive, just right to finish the meal.
Excellent service for our large party! Excellent food!
This is the second time we have had a mediocre experience.
If you're not going to read the "special occasion" listed on an OT reservation, why offer the option?
Two of our entrees were not so great. The Scallops were tough and the Roasted Chicken was dry and no taste.
The wait staff was excellent.
Exceeding my expectations, the staff was very knowledgable and kind, drinks were made just right and the food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.
A difficult evening! We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation (a bad idea, I know). The hostess told us we were “checked in” and would be seated “closer to the time of our reservation.” We were left adrift but found our way to a sofa, from whence we were called to be seated 23 minutes later. That’ll teach us about arriving early! We then waited 5-7 minutes for our server who was a very gracious and pleasant young woman. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks arrived 10 minutes later. The appetizer some time after that—stuffed mushrooms. It was really good and enjoyable. Entrees were another while arriving. My wife’s scallops were good. My steak and accompaniments were lukewarm to room temperature. I guess my steak sat under a light bulb while my wife’s scallops were being prepared. After we finished our meal we waited for the rest of the show—mini-indulgences and a description of the server’s “personal favorite.” The delay there was so long that a busser offered us coffee as I tapped my credit card on the table. Eventually, our server returned with the dessert presentation, which I refused. She then took my credit card without showing a bill. The tab with two martinis, the appetizer and entrees was almost $100. That is far more than I want to pay for a meal that included a cold steak.
This has been my favorite restaurant for several years. I am afraid to say it has become “just another chain” restaurant. Service has deteriorated significantly in the last six months causing us to have several bad evenings—once when soup and entree arrived simultaneously. It’s hard to understand what has happened but we are looking for a new favorite, even though the martinis were very well done.
Early Mother’s Day celebration!
Loved everything about it! Had the scallops. They were amazing! All though, wish I would have gone with something that was seasonal. Love how they do the dessert presentation!
Lovely ambience, attentive service and delicious seasonal entrees beautifully presented. And the birthday tribute was tastefully dine. Thank you
Enjoyable evening. Everything great.
This has not disappointed in both the service, food quality nor the seasonal menus offered. Wine selection has not let myself or guests down, and their offering to allow tastings when in doubt between choices shows they want the customer to be satisfied with their selection to satisfy their palate.
Dessert was amazing
The blistered shishito peppers and duck lollipops were good. The flatbreads can be very dry and over cooked.
Have been going to Seasons 52 for many years. This meal was one of the very best experiences at Seasons 52 or any other restaurant -- May have something to do with the new Managing Partner - Oscar Rosado. Met him and he knows what he is doing. Hope he stays in JAX for a long time.
Outstanding service, awesome food and place is cozy
I have enjoyed several meals and have not been disappointed with the quality of food, service or choices. The current spring menu selections for the single fixed cost are a nice option with several interesting choices.
This was the most memorable anniversary dinner ever. Our night was made so special by the entire staff but especially our server Ash. She was phenomenal. I can honestly say the food was delicious, the drinks were superb and the service was out of this world. I have a new favorite restaurant thanks to one special night where everyone seemed to go out of their way to make sure it was just that. Incredible! Thank you so much!!
Best service we have had at the restaurant in a long time. The female server really took her time with us and got all of our dietary restrictions correct
Friends in from PA who had never been to Seasons
Perfect in every way.
