Seasons 52 - Cincinnati Ratings and Reviews
My initial visit was when seasons52 had just opened and it wasptjera day. That was not a pleasant visit. But let's fast-forward 2017 and an enormous change. Bartender was excellent and the drinks fanrastic. Our dinner was Maryland scallops and my husband gad lamb shank . Everything was served hot and on time. Our favorite was the presentation of the desserts and we loved the size desserts .....smaller is better!!!
We were seated in remote outer overflow area, after passing numerous empty tables in main dining area that would’ve comfortably seated our party of 4. This area lacked ambiance that was in main room. Harsh lighting, cramped tables, loud noise level & in area with large groups. As a result, we felt a bit neglected. We were never asked if we wanted another glass of wine, nor were our water glasses refilled. I asked for a 2nd glass of wine that never came. When we left, had to squeeze between Christmas tree & another table. Disappointing.
We had a very good experience at Seasons 52, our first at this location. Menu offered several good options, food was prepared as requested and service was responsive. Restaurant was very busy so it was encouraging to see how well everything was done. We will be back.
Had an early reservation for 10. The food was good. Some previous appetizers that were easy to share with the table are no longer on the menu. There weren't very many tables filled yet. However, our service was slow. We hadn't finished our orders as some people were joining the table late. However, our server plopped down all of our bills. When we ordered additional items, food and drinks were quite delayed in coming to the table. When we were finally ready to cash out, several guests' bills were incorrect. Our server became rather rude and defensive in trying to get the errors corrected. One member of the party said it was the worse service he had experienced out of all the times he's been at Seasons 52.
Came for a last minute date night and was surprised by the noice level in the restaurant, particularly given our 9p reservation. The food was delicious, bottle of wine recommended by the waitstaff was very good. Overall, as first time diners we were impressed and appreciated the food, drink and care we received from our waitress, which, at the end of the day is really what we were looking for.
Seasons 52 never disappoints us. The food wine and service is excellent. We had the mushroom flatbread and loved it. My husband had the golden beet salad I had the spinach and pear salad. Lightly dressed to perfection. We both devoured our trout and had green beans instead of carrots. They cooked the beans longer per our request.
A lovely date night!
I have been here several times and have always had a good experience relating to the food and the service. However this time our waitress disappeared after bringing our drinks and water to the table. We watched her wait on other tables, and hoped she would return soon enough for us to order an appetizer before our main course, but by the time she got back to us no one wanted to do that anymore, so we just ordered soup or salads with our main courses, which were brought to the table before we finished the first course, and some were put down in front of the wrong person.
Not Good for TGD. You felt like a cousin they were trying to get rid of. Food looked like it was thrown on a plate. Nice variety. Turkey was good /dressing good /potatoes good/ gravy good /NOT enough. Cranberry's not good but if you would like it not enough. Squash tasteless. Green beans Pass Al Dente. You got about 1/4c of food each. Your drink order was taken but your food came out well before your drink. Timing was not good. Then they poured pie crust filling into a small shot glass toped with whip cream and called it a mini indulgence. HUM! We like Season 52. We will go back for regular night. Stay away for TGD. Sorry...
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. And we dined on Thanksgiving evening. Despite making reservations and arriving at the prime eating time, we were seated within 5 minutes. The hostess & waitress were very personable and made sure all our dining needs were taken care of. If our travels include this great city of Cincinnati, we will definitely dine at this fine establishment. I would definitely recommend to family and friends.
Thanksgiving meal was good, not great. Turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes were really good, the frozen squash purée and the raw green-beans should have stayed in the kitchen. The hostess and the waitress did their jobs which in most restaurants today is a great plus.
Unfortunately, Seasons 52 is a chain restaurant that pretends to be high class and falls just short. For the availability, the price and the above average food I would definitely say they deserve a very solid 4 out of 5 rating.
