Seagar's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
If you crave a great steak after all the fresh seafood the Gulf has to offer, try Seagar's. The most flavorful and tender Porterhouse I've had in my 60+ years. The sides are delicious and feed two hungry people. Oh, even though everyone with us had steaks cooked perfectly, other patrons acknowledged that their fresh seafood entrees we're delicious, as well. Finally, Seagar's desserts we're phenomenal. My wife and I now have a new Sandestin destination.
A wonderful experience with an awesome staff. Everyone was very polite n knew their dishes. The piano player was a nice touch. Will be back next year. Our Grouper & Flounder were the best we have eaten in Destin. The fresh homemade Caesar salad was tremendous. Would recommend this place to everyone.
The very Best Everything. The Steaks (Filet) and 1/2 Lobster were absolutely incredible - they remove all the lobster meat, brush with butter and reload into the shell.. So Good!! Great selection of Toppings and the Twice Baked is Crazy good. Very professional staff, incredible kitchen (try the Blue Crab Claws - fantastic!) with a delightful piano man playing the classics up by the bar. HIGHLY Recommend for a nice Date night or Celebration. This is the BEST.
Really really good! It was my birthday and they gave me a nice table and desert because of that. The food was delicious and our server was outstanding. My only complaint was that the noise lever was very high....I wish that they had some noise dampening materials.
Overall, it was a very good experience.
Went for my Birthday. Great steak selection but the sides are fantastic. Cocktails are outstanding plus the service is better than any place in the Destin area. Four Diamond award is well deserved. Don't be cheap and go out to a chain. This place is worth it.
Everything was good but the Dover sole fish was not what we expected. Too much butter and really not that special for $50 a pop. We are regulars and, unfortunately, this one time was disappointing. We were not happy about the fact that we requested the wine room well in advance; we were told it was not available, yet we saw it empty during our entire dining experience. I don't want to take away from the service level and everything else that was just great, but I hope they take notice of my criticism. We had a second reservation for this week but we just cancelled it, enough said.
Fabulous dinner - Our family has been going to Seagar's for 15 years on our trips to Florida. We adore the ambience and delicious food - and of course, banana's foster table-side is a much awaited treat. The staff is top-notch, smart and service-oriented. Highly recommend!
Circus like atmosphere in this restaurant. Convention in the main dining room of about 50 people, which was very loud. Baby screaming and kids playing video games. Could not hear my date talking a lot of the time.
Not given the table I requested. My girlfriend and I told "Scott" , if we knew that a convention was booked that evening,...we would have canceled.
Dress code was very relaxed. Short's and sneakers were allowed even though the web site clearly states " Long slacks and dress shirt, jacket would be preferred".
My wife and I came here for our anniversary. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant, and wished a happy anniversary as we were seated. The service was amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The have an excellent wine list with some great options in the $50 range. Be sure to order the chocolate soufflé for dessert.
Seagar's is the best restaurant in this area We recently move from the New Orleans area and had been missing the dining we had experienced there. We discovered Seagar's through friends and are very happy to have it in this area!! I highly recommend it to anyone who would enjoy a fantastic meal along with a wonderful atmosphere!
I got the filet and for the second time out of 4 times the outside of my steak was burnt and very bitter. This was $55 so my expectations were very high. I did not complain at the time as it was my fault for going again. My overall bill $280 after tip, and to me it was not worth it. The burnt steak should have never been allowed to leave the kitchen.
When we finally found a Uber driver to get us across the street just from Baytowne Wharf(!), we were unable to get back. We had you phone a taxi and it was about 50 minutes before they arrived. We both dozed off in the lounge waiting, very, very bad and Bill says he will "never go there again". We had the chateaubriand for two and the cooked at table cherries jubilee. For just 2 people and total 3 glasses wine and Irish coffee, with tip our bill was about $400 which is exorbitant. So no, we will not be recommending Seagar's...... I read the reviews after dining there, unfortunately.
