Scarpetta's over prices everything on the menu, from appetizers, to main entrees, to wine and cocktails. One could say, it is a old fashioned "clip joint." We ordered a bottle of Opus One, it was opened at the table and we were offered a taste, which was good, however, and without asking, the waiter removed the wine bottle from the table, and took it back to the kitchen area, out of our sight, to decanter it. When it was finally brought back to the table in the decanter, it didn't taste the same, had lost its full bouquet and depth, it was much colder to the touch, we didn't want to think it, but it was like it had been switched with another wine. We have never had this happen before, and we won't be back to Scarpetta, so it won't happen again.

Since its inception my husband and I have been going to Scarpetta for our anniversary. This year
only all others , we were very disappointed. The quality all around was not the same, and the ambiance leet a lot to be desire. Regrettably, we wont be celebrating at Scarpetta from now on.
Luckily for us, there are so many fine dining spots around town that a new favorite has already been experienced.
Sorry Scott , see you at the Wine and Food in February.

We received a recommendation from our daughter and son-in law.
We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary this weekend at the Fontainebleau.
It was all fabulous !! the pool and outside staff. The "Scarpetta" with it's homemade pasta,
the service, with John Carlo, magnifico ! The bread with salami and cheese, delicious !!
Everything was a wonderful experience, from the day we arrived on Sunday, until the day we checked out on Wednesday. A memorable event.
WE applaud the entire staff at Fontainebleau !!!!!!!!!!

I visit Scarpetta as often as I am in Miami Beach, which is quite often. I am still waiting to have a less than superb meal there. The food is always incredible. I cannot say enough good things about it.
It remains my favorite restaurant in the world.

Great food. My only complaint was that we had a 9pm reservation and were not seated until close to 9:30pm. The restaurant was not crowded. It was as if they wanted us to spend money on their overpriced cocktails, which we did.

Day before a conference, my wife and I had an enjoyable meal at Scarpetta. We both had the buratta salad, my wife enjoyed her prosciutto wrapped halibut and I had the short rib stuffed agnilloti. Our Sommelier recommended a reasonably (relative) priced wine to accompany our meal. The service was fantastic from the greeter, to the maitre'd, to the main waiter, and bread/water servers. Our chocolate molten cake with salted caramel was a great finish to the meal. Overall, fantastic experience, though not cheap. But then, one can't expect a cheap meal at one of the finer restaurants in one of the finest hotel in Miami Beach.

While I have always enjoyed Scarpetta, this night they were off. Service was not up to par and the quality of the food, while very good, was not up to previous levels. Especially disappointing was the marque spaghetti; it was just okay.

The home made gluten free pasta is unbelievable! I wish we found it on our first day in Miami as I'd have never eaten anywhere else. Some options are expensive however most are very reasonable, from $26 to about $50. Worth going if you're gluten free they can make anything for you and have so much knowledge.

My husband and I took my mom for her birthday and we did the chef's choice menu. It was fabulous! What a wonderful and extravagant way to experience many kinds of food in one sitting. It is expensive, but I highly recommend it.

In fairness to this restaurant, I wasn't feeling great when we went and it was pouring down outside. It is in a hotel which is huge which takes away from the art deco part of the hotel where the restaurant is located. The restaurant itself doesn't have any art deco feel though and feels much like any hotel restaurant. Very pricey but to be expected of a hotel of this size and grading. Service was excellent though.

We were both very disappointed in Scarpetta. I had heard many good things and, of course, I admire Scott Conant. The atmosphere bordered on pretentious, but I guess that is the nature of Miami Beach.
The pasta (not the sauces) was very well prepared, but I cannot rationalize the price for the quality. The frito misto was mostly parsley... very disappointing.
Will not recommend to others and will not be dining there in the future.

I ordered the scallops with a side of charred broccolini. Everything was cooked to perfection and you can really see and taste the attention to detail with the creation of the food. The portions were great - especially at the price point. I was given a complimentary small appetizer of ahi tuna and the bread basket was absolutely divine! The wait staff was very attentive and overall my meal experience was excellent.

We arrived on time for our reservation, they had us at the lobby waiting for 30 minutes, and they sat a table who had arrived after us.
Finally they took to us to the table, but I requested outside, and the table was inside. We couldn't sit inside it was freezing!
We went to valet to request our car they said it was going to be 45 minutes waiting!!! At the same time people at the window was shouting they has been waiting for an hour. And they charged us 25 dollars!!!!! Worst night out ever!!!!

A great experience from beginning to end. We received a friendly greeting, parking validation and prompt seating. Our waiter (as well as other restaurant staff) was patient in answering all of our questions and was most attentive without being a constant presence. We chose the Tasting Menu which is a four-course dinner with 2 - 3 dishes (selected by the chef) served in each course. Our chef did not disappoint. Each dish was exceptionally delicious and served with attention to the finest detail and flavor profile. We can’t wait to return!

The food was good and the service was OK but you don't live a "great experience" overall.
You definitely feel in a hotel restaurant. There are so many great italian restaurants in Miami to not spend your time and money in this one.
