Outstanding service and attention to detail. Our server was excellent and very helpful in assisting us narrow down our choices.
In a age where restaurants eliminate their pastry chefs, this restaurant highlights theirs. His/her breads and soufflés were incredible. The waiters greet you by name and excel at describing their menu. The food is incredible. I would rate this restaurant number one in the Jacksonville area.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food! The prawn appetizer is my favorite! The filet cooked on the salt block at the table and the pappardelle seafood pasta were outstanding! We eat at least once every time we stay at the Ritz Carleton Amelia Island! We dined twice this trip and as always this restaurant is second to none!
Amazing food and exceptional service!!
Our favorite restaurant on Amelia Island. Consistently superior food and service Gerold L. schiebler M.D.
Made reservations on 2/28 for 3/31 with special occasion instructions- did not honor and said “ happy birthday”. Took chefs tasking menu- chef did not come out and talk like usually is in 5 star eatablishements - 400$ wasted on myself- husband ate only a salad and side item - was not hungry.
Beef cheek- not good at all.
Truly a first rate food / wine / service experience. Nothing comparable on the island. Chose the chefs courses with pairings & wait to be pleasantly surprised!
Very good food and service. Nice setting and beautiful room. Excellent bar tender. Good but quite overpriced wine list.
An excellent experience. The food was meticiously prepared and presented. Ambience was serene and very relaxing. Our server, Ryan was outstanding. Very professional.... attentive, helpful and appropriately personable.
Our experience at Salt was fabulous! Our servers were very attentive and knowledgeable. They also had great recommendations.
Very nice view - great service, excellent food - intimate atmosphere
Fois Gras was a little undercooked but tasty. $61 Ribeye & $47 filet tasted & smelled like BBQ with sauce on it unfortunately and was not our favorite. Halibut was not available so flounder was substituted and everyone kept calling it halibut even on the check. $100 bottle of red wine was room temperature which was a huge bummer as well.
Hoped for.a great night but didn’t happen for $400.
Welcoming staff, beautiful setting, exquisite food
From start to finish. It was a memorable evening. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. They are sure to ask your dislikes and likes. And after every tasting make sure you enjoyed it. Every tasting was superb and we even had some combinations we would have never thought belonged together. But the chef knew what he was doing. Our server was very passionate about her job and spoke highly of the chef. And the salt, what an education on different salts. Amazing. You are given a couple when you leave to use at home. It was perfect evening and wonderful food and service. Note. This was our second time at Salt and both times we did the tasting menu. And we will be back to do it again. I'm sure!
AMAZING chefs dinner has delicious and every wine paired we t perfectly. Thank you for such a perfectly prepared meal
Great for special occasions!!
My husband just returned from deployment and I surprised him by taking him to this phenomenal place! Very high class and a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for! Excellent service, amazing food and the views are spectacular! We will definitely go again! I also recommend doing the "adventure" menu, if you are open to most foods. They will ask if there are any allergies or foods you do not prefer to keep in mind, but this gives you a chance to really see what the chefs can do!
Over-rated restaurant. We tried the tasting menu - which lacked character and flavor. Definitely not worth the $400 we spent!
It was my Wife's Birthday and right when we arrived she was treated like a Queen.
The Bartender was great and they had some very unusual styles of drinks.
Our Server was GREAT. They brought out several different Salts for us to try, at the end of our dinner, our server asked my wife which ones she liked, at the time we were finished they brought out a plate that had caramels, macaroons, and two salt packages with the salt she liked and the plate said Happy Birthday.
It was a GREAT Experience.
Oh and by the way all the food was prepared properly and tasted GREAT!!!!
Beautiful, delicious food.
We go every year when we visit the area. Love the chefs tasting with the premium wines. Expensive but the food and wine are so worth it. A fantastic evening
A must stop for us every year during the Concours show. Always fantastic service and incredibly well prepared food. They also always introduce me to a new fabulous wine. My husband and I dream about our next meal all year long. The staff made our experience even more incredible this time and we are so appreciative. And be sure not to miss the signature salted caramels!
Robert, Derrick & Nathan waited on us, they were all great! Robert was very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Derrick too was helpful & friendly. Made our dinner fun. We had a wonderful table by the windows. The food was AWESOME!
Food was ok. They charge us $27 for our kids which are 3 and 5 years old without even having a kids menu option. Nothing In the buffer was for kids except for dessert. Place is super nice and waitress too.
I liked this place. A wee bit pretentious, because, you know, it’s The Ritz. We were there during Amelia Island Concours. Unbelievably loud for a Ritz dining room. But, service was great and so was the food.
Delicious! Thank you!
March 3. Birthday celebration
Excellent experience with wonderful service. Food was outstanding.
Always a wonderful experience! Never disappointed!
Service was amazing! The different flavors of salt were amazing. The food was good, but not great. My steak was overcooked which is not something you would expect at a restaurant like this.
Food wonderful, service perfect! Great place for a special evening.
Excellent food and service. We had the filet and it was cooked perfectly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Salt. The food was amazing and the service outstanding. The ocean view was just gorgeous. It all made for a very special night.
The waitress was the best part of the experience. She was excellent. The food was average not as good as in the past. The shrimp was over cooked and flavorless. The seafood pasta dish didn't have a lot of seafood in it. The live entertainment was very nice. Probably won't go back, at least not for a long time.
A perfect anniversary experience, the very BEST food and service, only available at this 5-star establishment.
Went for our anniversary. Received a personalized anniversary menu. Food and service lived up to Ritz Carlton standarda. A totally enjoyable experience.
This was our second visit to Salt. Absolutely LOVE the restaurant! Service is impeccable, food was fantastics, ambiance is perfect.
The restaurant is located in The Ritz-Carlton which is beautiful itself. The restaurant is located near the beach so you can sit by the window if there is an open table. Reservations highly recommended. The staff was extremely nice and very knowledge, and very attentive. The food was amazing. From the prawns, to the tenderloin served with a salt slab so that you may complete the cooking to your liking. Too full for dessert but I hear the soufflé is awesome.
We are usually on Amelia Island in Jan and Feb of each year and have eaten at Salt on a number of occasions. We weren't able to get a reservation when our son in law was visiting last year and when we dined at Salt this year we were reminded how extraordinary a dining experience is. From my blackberry mojito, to incredibly well crafted salads and main courses Salt stands out way beyond any of the restaurants we have dined at on Amelia Island. The wine list is extensive and a bit pricey, but there were wines in each category that were well selected and of exceptional quality. My wife had the foie gras with caramelized apple and said it was an incredible treat. I had the elk chop which was perfectly done and our son-in-law had the steak and lobster which he highly approved. Each of us had a souffle for dessert, and each of us was delighted with our selection. We have eaten at a number restaurants on Amelia Island, but Salt is remembered as our favorite, and we look forward to returning.
Although we knew it would be a bit pricey due to the location the value/cost for quality just wasn’t there. I’m glad we went but won’t do it again. Service was wonderful
