Wow!!! Everything was terrrriiiffff!!!!! Service - unbelievable!!! MARC is a phenomenal server... So continuously attentive to our every need.. Thank you!!!! Also Michael was was very nice and attentive too. Matthew did a great job carving our steak. And Ken stopped by the table twice to check on us.
Our steaks and lobster was out of this world.
This all made our daughter’s 21st exceptional.
Our experience at Ruth Chris was excellent. It was my wife's Birthday. The service from the time we sat down to the time we completed our meal and leaving was great. Our waiter, Michael providing a warm interaction during our entire meal and we enjoyed his focus to making sure my Wife's Birthday Dinner was the best. Our waiter actually took our Valet Parking Ticket prior to paying our bill to the Valet to have our car waiting for us after we paid the bill and left Ruth Chris. In less than less 5 minutes our car was pulling up to the curb and My wife and I were on our way home talking about how wonderful we were treated. And especially how our meal was the best!!! My wife had a very nice Birthday Dinner she will not forget for a long time. Our very best wishes to Michael and his future plans we talked about.
The food was amazing as always, but the service was just ok. Our waitress started off great but at the end we were without drinks and waiting with finished plates on our table for about 10 minutes. At this point the restaurant wasn't even crowded anymore, so I reminded her again that I needed a refill. For the price I definitely expected better service and prior to this we have always had exceptional service at Ruth's Chris. I was also disappointed that the Valentine's day menu that I was emailed was totally different than what they had. Especially after I personally called and confirmed with someone named Shelby that this was indeed the Valentine's day menu. There was also a very loud group, they were in a room but at times the door was left open and they were extremely loud with the door open. Other than the menu debacle, noise, and slow service at the end we enjoyed the food as always.
The waiter, Dominique, was great. Very professional and kind. Haley, the hostess was nice when I called to make our reservation and she made sure the waiter knew it was my birthday. There was another gentleman who waited on us that was also very nice (Didn't catch his name).
Negatives: the baseboards/moldings near our seats were visibly dusty and the employee who went around to add bulbs to the mini lamps rudely reached over our food to do so.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience for my birthday/Valentine's day lunch.
My fiancé and I visited this Ruth Chris location last night and had an absolutely awful experience. We frequent the Ruth Chris location in Southpark and have always had great experiences there. I am not so sure why the food and service are absolutely awful at the uptown location. We sat and waited about 40 minutes for our food. I ordered an 8 oz filet and it was not good, at all. It was cooked odd... the outside was crisp and hard while part of the inside was raw and the other part cooked just right. I have never had such a filet cooked this way. I had to drench it in bernaisee sauce just to be able to eat it because it was not good. All of the veggies we shared were not good. No flavor. Very bland. My lobster bisque was cold and tasted old. I wasn't asked if I wanted another glass of wine once I finished mine well before we were done eating. The servers seem young and not experienced in fine dining. I feel like we wasted $200. The experience at thus Ruth Chris was not worth the money or our time.
We will continue to dine at the Ruth Chris located in South Park. The uptown location is a waste of money.
It was my boyfriend Larry’s Birthday so we decided on Coming here. Had not been since we visited here 9 years ago for the Coke 600. Now that we have moved here we were able to enjoy the most wonderful meal! Steve our server was a gem! Food was delicious and cooked perfectly! I had ribeye and lobster tail and Larry had his favorite filet mignon!Chad the manager came to our table and welcomed us. It was a truly fantastic evening!
My mother and I dined here before seeing a show in Charlotte. The server was on point in terms of planning our meal to fit our time requirements (asking what time we wanted to be walking out the door). The overall service was good considering the maximum capacity level of diners in the restaurant that evening. Empty water glasses for a good portion of the meal, but not a deal breaker in general.
I’m sad to say it was very disappointing . My children came to visit and I decided to take them out for a special diner.
Our salads came and as we are eating them the waiter came and started to take them away. Mind you this is as we actually had our forks in our mouths and plates full. I guess she thought we were finished because we took a breath.
My wife and girls not wanting to get her in trouble asked me to let it go and said “don’t worry our steaks are coming”. When the waitress came out mine which was suppose to be medium well it was still mooing (rarer). Now my family being taught manners waited to start diner until mine came out cooked so we could say grace and all eat together. Which made there diners cold and had me feeling terrible.
This type of service I would expect from a lower scale restaurant not a upscale one.
Total bill over $300 time spent eating from appetizers to desserts a little over 1 hour.
Sorry Ruth’s Chris you failed that night.
Valet parking is a feature offered at time of reservation and again on confirmation of reservation. At check in valet said he was too busy and we needed Park our car. Not an easy feat downtown Charlotte 28 degrees in a dress and heels. Ruined the evening !!
We had a great meal with friends. the service was excellent.
The only down side to the experience was having to wait over half an hour for the valet service to return car. Had to check with valet desk three times only to find out that he had passed over our ticket because he couldn't find the fob.
Awesome dining experience during a very busy Saturday night during Restaurant Week. The management, wait staff, kitchen, bar tenders and every employee was on their A game, cheerfully providing a fantastic dining experience for every guest. Every table was full and the guests just kept coming and going. This place is a finely tuned machine handling over 790 reservations without making anyone feel rushed. My only complaint was with their valet parking service, which they obviously subcontract. They could not keep up and had several young kids trying their best, but they were not ready for the volume that Ruth’s can accommodate.
Our steaks, sides and dessert were perfect. Our cocktails were great too. The best filet in town as always, with about 40% off for the $35 queens feast special. Ruth’s you nailed it again. Thanks for all that you do, it ain’t easy to make so many plates sizzle, and to provide such a high level dining experience. We’ll be back....soon.
We were seated right away and the service remained excellent the entire meal even though they were very busy for restaurant week. It is quiet enough to have a conversation unlike some steakhouse in Charlotte. My filet was amazing but my husband had a NY Strip off the restaurant week menu that I don't think was up to their usual standards. We also had mash potatoes, creamed spinach, and calamari which were all excellent.
Molly our waitress was outstanding everything was served with perfect timing she was there for everything and her helper I believe Mariam was also excellent it was the most perfect service. Our other times there was good but these two were outstanding made our day great.
Food and service was amazing as always! Our waiters Sasha and Corey were awesome!!! Only one problem i invited some friends whom it was their first visit and the valet lost my friend car keys in someone else's car. We waited 2.5hrs before the issue was resolved. Ruth's Chris manager was amazing in making sure we were taken care of as all this unfolded. As well as the valet company manager. Other than the lost keys which just kinda killed the mood, it was amazing.
