Ruth's Chris Steak House - Huntsville Ratings and Reviews
It took a while to be seated, even though I had a reservation, but not overly excessive. This was my first visit so I had high expectations (based on reviews from friends). The food was ok, but nothing to brag about.....especially for the price. The ambiance made the experience much better.
Dined because of Restaurant week's special menu and prices but there were RC specials as well only $5 more with more choices. Seafood Gumbo was almost as good as NO. Salmon was just flakey, done perfectly. Wife's filet was melt in your mouth and crab fried rice and au gratin potatoes were hot and a wonderful compliment. Had to take dessert home and it was still delicious warmed.
Perfect place for my parents's anniversary dinner. My brothers and I planned a celebration for my parents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. We wanted the best place in Huntsville. My Dad is very much a "meat and potatoes" man and doesn't want a "fru fru" type dinner. The food we had was PERFECT for all of us. The best part of the evening was the service from Ryan. He did a phenominal job of being so attentive but also allowed us our privacy. It was definitely a perfect evening and I'm so glad we chose Ruth's Chris. I have told MANY all over Huntsville about our experience.
As expected, Ruth Chris delivered an exceptional meal. Our server, Marilyn, gave great service as always. Exactly why we always ask for her. From the moment you stop at the Valet until you've finished dining and your car is retrieved, everything is always perfection
I knew that Ruth's Chris' restaurant was expensive, but it was my fiancee's birthday and her first visit there. As expected, the serving staff treated us like royalty, and the filet Mignon was unparalleled in taste and quality. We were extremely disappointed in the side dishes however. Attempting to minimize starch intake but familiar with ordinary Brussels sprouts, we ordered "toasted Brussels sprouts." A large plate came out full of toasted leaves and tough stems that were flavorful, but impossible to chew - except for two or possibly three typically round "mini-cabbage" shaped sprouts, which were tender and delicious. Unaccustomed to this new recipe for a familiar dish, we inquired of the server as to whether our dish was what it should be. He assured us that it was, and that they were normally tough.
No one else inquired about our unsatisfactory side dish. No substitute was offered.
I have dined at Ruth's Chris' several times earlier with no problems, so I will view this as an anomaly, Everything else was great!
I have been to Ruth's Chris in the past on multiple occasions so I hope this was just a bad night but my steak (ordered medium) was well done And my potatoes were dry. Our server didn't offer or bring us bread (we had to ask). When I asked for a particular martini they have had in the past I was told they were out. I understand that completely, it happens. When I suggested another flavor (which I have also had before), my waiter said "that wouldn't taste good" without consulting the bartender. Finally, I absolutely hate the new location on Galatin. The tables are packed in very tightly and it's very loud. The old location was more intimate.
Absolutely wonderful! Everything about the restaurant was great! The food was prepared exceptionally good. The service was perfect! the waiter was attentive without being annoying. The seating arrangement allowed for conversation without engaging the table next to you. The cocktails were prepared perfect. The selections were good as well. Huntsville should be standing in line for this restaurant!
We arrived on time for our reservation and after our bread arrived… the power went out and the fire alarm went off. After waiting an hour for them to try and get both fixed people began leaving. The manager no joke was catching people at the door and adding up their drinks and trying to get their credit card numbers to make them pay for $10 in drinks after ruining their entire nights.
