I took my niece here for her 14th birthday and it was fantastic! They sprinkled birthday confetti on the table and really made her feel special on her birthday. The food was delicious and steaks were cooked perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive as was the rest of the staff. My mom and niece greatly enjoyed their meals. The vegetables were delicious as was the stuffed mushroom appetizer. Definitely recommend for a great steak or a special occasion!

As a loyal Ruth's Chris enthusiast, it pains me to write this review. Unfortunately my wife and I caught this Ruth's Chris on an off night. We were politely seated soon after arrival at a very nice table. Unfortunately once the hostess left our table, it was quite a while before our server arrived. Our wine order apparently created a problem that lead to another delay. Once the hostess helping the server took our order, the food came in an expected amount of time. Unfortunately, for the first time ever at a Ruth's Chris, I had to send my very undercooked steak back for further cooking. I guess when it rains it pours. Let me say, however, that this was a very unusual occurrence for this Ruth's Chris as we have always experienced nothing but outstanding service and food in all prior visits. I would expect that our next visit will allow us to forget this most recent one. The wines are very highly marked up, even less expensive ones. I am not sure what the corkage fee is, but I think I will inquire before my next visit. On a final note, the folks here are very friendly and polite which goes a long way in moderating any problems that may occur.

Ahead of time I was asked if there was any special occasion. I said Birthday. I received a couple Happy Birthdays, but that was all. The meal was good, as well as the sides. One salad was creatively presented. The sides were overpriced.

Since this is one of two steak houses in greensboro, you really don't have a much of a choice. Both of our steaks were over cooked. You would think for a 45.00 steak you would have a kitchen that knows what they are doing.

The steaks are out of this world and you get a great deal with there $44.95 specials. We usually get the Filet and Shrimp with Cream spinach (out of this world), mashed potatoes and dessert. We always come here for our anniversary and sometimes birthdays. Highly recommended. The service is exceptional all the time. Extremely friendly and sincere.

The only problem I had was we had make reservations way ahead of time and ask for a booth and told them it was a birthday.
No.1 we could NOT get a booth
No.2 our table was not decorated for my Birthday as they had done previously with my husbands birthday a month prior.
I really love the food here , but it was way too noisy..........I think if you play a low selection of background music it might help people to be more courteous of others eating. They are loud enough to be at a circus instead of a fine dining establishment.

We picked this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and we were very amazed with the quality of the dishes and very pleasant service. You can tell professionals were taking care of us. The place is strongly recommended. Thank you for the beautiful evening! :)

Cocktails were great, appetizers were great. Lobster Bisque and Salads were fine. Steaks were pretty terrible; ribeye filled with fat, fillets were tasteless. Potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach were good. Brussel sprouts and lobster mac-n-cheese were awful. Cheesecake and crème brulee were good. Key lime cheesecake, not so much. It was just too hit or miss to be worth going back. Especially, with the steaks being so bland. Very few people inside, two major dining areas were closed on a Saturday night. The company saved the night, not the food.
Unspecial Mother's Day
I frequent Ruth's Chris on a regular basis, but primarily in Pasadena, Beverly Hills, and Crystal City. This was my first and final visit to the Greensboro location. I was celebrating my mother's 71st birthday as well as Mother's Day. We previously celebrated the year prior at the Crystal City location. Of course, the experience was amazing, but I've come to expect this from Ruth's Chris. Unfortunately, the Greensboro location was quite a disappointment. The restaurant set up wasn't the greatest. We were initally seated by the front entrance where there is constant traffic entering and exiting, but in addition our table was also located near the kitchen entrance...even more traffic. Food was delicious, but the service was just OK. Being that it was Mother's Day, Ruth's Chris is known to hand out roses along with a $25 certificate. The manager on duty happened to be the one passing these out. Yet, she repeatedly continued to walk by our table, completely failing to acknowledge my mother. Now that was just unacceptable. It wasn't until we were exiting the restaurant, I made it a point to ask the hostess if they picked and chose which mothers received a rose. She apologized and immediately found a rose and $25 certificate to give to my mother. That was greatly appreciated. If I happen to return to the Greensboro area next year for Mother's Day, dinner will be at Fleming's. Epic fail Greensboro Ruth's Chris!!
have not been happy the past 6 months
Since Ruth Chris is one of two steak houses in Greensboro you don,t have a great choice. The first thing that pissts me off every time I walk in , is the question " Have you dined with us before" You would think that in this day and age a computer could tell the hostess how often we dine there. Also the service has gone down with the prices going up. New people every time we dine, which is at least twice a month. We have just not had a good over all time at Ruth Chris.
Delicious Easter Dinner
We decided to eat there for Easter dinner. Our family was out of town so it was just my husband and me. It had been several years since we had been there. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was delicious. We each had a filet and two sides -- creamed spinach and the sweet potato casserole. Everything, including the salad and dessert, were prepared perfectly. We will be back soon.
