The only problem I had was we had make reservations way ahead of time and ask for a booth and told them it was a birthday.
No.1 we could NOT get a booth
No.2 our table was not decorated for my Birthday as they had done previously with my husbands birthday a month prior.
I really love the food here , but it was way too noisy..........I think if you play a low selection of background music it might help people to be more courteous of others eating. They are loud enough to be at a circus instead of a fine dining establishment.

We picked this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and we were very amazed with the quality of the dishes and very pleasant service. You can tell professionals were taking care of us. The place is strongly recommended. Thank you for the beautiful evening! :)

Cocktails were great, appetizers were great. Lobster Bisque and Salads were fine. Steaks were pretty terrible; ribeye filled with fat, fillets were tasteless. Potatoes au gratin and creamed spinach were good. Brussel sprouts and lobster mac-n-cheese were awful. Cheesecake and crème brulee were good. Key lime cheesecake, not so much. It was just too hit or miss to be worth going back. Especially, with the steaks being so bland. Very few people inside, two major dining areas were closed on a Saturday night. The company saved the night, not the food.
Unspecial Mother's Day
I frequent Ruth's Chris on a regular basis, but primarily in Pasadena, Beverly Hills, and Crystal City. This was my first and final visit to the Greensboro location. I was celebrating my mother's 71st birthday as well as Mother's Day. We previously celebrated the year prior at the Crystal City location. Of course, the experience was amazing, but I've come to expect this from Ruth's Chris. Unfortunately, the Greensboro location was quite a disappointment. The restaurant set up wasn't the greatest. We were initally seated by the front entrance where there is constant traffic entering and exiting, but in addition our table was also located near the kitchen entrance...even more traffic. Food was delicious, but the service was just OK. Being that it was Mother's Day, Ruth's Chris is known to hand out roses along with a $25 certificate. The manager on duty happened to be the one passing these out. Yet, she repeatedly continued to walk by our table, completely failing to acknowledge my mother. Now that was just unacceptable. It wasn't until we were exiting the restaurant, I made it a point to ask the hostess if they picked and chose which mothers received a rose. She apologized and immediately found a rose and $25 certificate to give to my mother. That was greatly appreciated. If I happen to return to the Greensboro area next year for Mother's Day, dinner will be at Fleming's. Epic fail Greensboro Ruth's Chris!!
have not been happy the past 6 months
Since Ruth Chris is one of two steak houses in Greensboro you don,t have a great choice. The first thing that pissts me off every time I walk in , is the question " Have you dined with us before" You would think that in this day and age a computer could tell the hostess how often we dine there. Also the service has gone down with the prices going up. New people every time we dine, which is at least twice a month. We have just not had a good over all time at Ruth Chris.
Delicious Easter Dinner
We decided to eat there for Easter dinner. Our family was out of town so it was just my husband and me. It had been several years since we had been there. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was delicious. We each had a filet and two sides -- creamed spinach and the sweet potato casserole. Everything, including the salad and dessert, were prepared perfectly. We will be back soon.
Good Experience Overall
My wife and I have enjoyed coming to Ruth's Chris in Greensboro for the past 9 years for our Valentine's Day dinner, and each time was great. However this year's visit wasn't as good as in the past.
We were seated immediately after checking our coats, and in a section that I had requested when I made the reservation (which I truly appreciate!!). However, it seemed as if there was no wait staff assigned to our table - we waited too long to be acknowledged. But no stress, we wanted to enjoy our night. The waiter finally came, apologized for the delay, and was attentive from then on.
The food was not great like it normally is. My 11 oz. filet was cooked too hard on the bottom (?), and the lobster mac & cheese was noticeably bland, with no real flavor (I've eaten this exact dish several times before, and it was always excellent). The waiter did explain that the Mac & cheese is served on a skillet dish now b/c the sauces would always fall to the bottom of the bowl, causing it to dry out faster.
I will come back to this location again soon and give them another try. Overall, the experience my wife and I had was a good one.

I was very excited to have dinner here. I did make a reservation that was the day before Valentine's and probably would be considered Valentine date night. I often worry that you will not have a good experience since it is Valentine's which is usually very busy. I was assured by a food service employee that the quality would be high at Ruth Chris. If I had to describe my experience is was nice, but not fantastic which was what I was expecting. The dining room felt crowded, so I feel that possibly extra tables were added to seat more customers. There seemed to be a lot of staff that were running all over each other. We requested a second glass of champagne and had to remind our server and his assistant that we wanted it. We requested additional bread with our meal that never was delivered. I will say that we never felt rushed and that the staff was super nice.
Pricey but good food
The service was good but slow. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The salad was average but poor choice of sides. Didn't like the creamed spinach. Need more vegetable side choices such as sweet potato. Great desert. Longhorn's Flow Filet is comparable at 1/3 the cost!
