Ruth's Chris Steak House - Fresno Ratings and Reviews
This was a 20 year anniversary & well worth it. The table was sprinkled with rose petals, there was a specially printed menu, & the dessert was complimentary & decorated for the occasion. The service was attentive without being overbearing. And of course, the steak melted in my mouth. And Thai is from a guy who uses A-1 at home.
Good food but nothing outstanding. Was disappointed with the noise level, even after we asked for and were seated at a table as far away from the bar as possible. Make the bar a separate room. The crowd it attracts is rowdy! I doubt I will spend this much to be unable to talk with people at my own table.
Had an Anniversary dinner for my BIL and SIL and the names were misspelled on the menu....it was a great touch they put their names on the menu, that was nice - but attention to detail matters!
Ordered Marini up, and it came with vermouth. They fixed it, but again, attention to detail!
Food was overall quite good; however, we came specifically for the Oso buco ravioli because we'd had this in Hawaii, but it came with a completely different sauce at this location - that was a surprise!
Would be nice to know if the preparation of a staple dish is going to be prepared differently at different locations.
Overall, ok place - but for the pricing, find a Mastros!!!
Hannah and Landon provided great service. Impressed with the name of our father on the menu also. A great moment. We drove in from the Bay Area that day and enjoyed how cool it was in the restaurant compared to how hot it was outside. They also took great care of our 2 toddlers. Great service overall.
Rib steak was grisly told waiter seemed like that was impossible. Manager finally came over said you know rib steaks have a lot of marbling! We said look at steak which was about half eaten that's not marbling offered another steak. Really after all have finished eating then offered free dessert!! We felt it should have been removed from bill. If steak had been completely consumed I would agree with offer. Always thought R/C was a high class restaurant not any more .
We've come here before for anniversary, birthday, etc. The food is normally amazing and we ordered our usual, a filet mignon. Mine was order rare and probably was more of a medium rare, but still very good. My husband ordered medium well and his was extremely well done. Part of it was actually crunchy. Our server tried to get him to return the steak for another, but he hates wasting food, so he refused. He said it was still tasty, just overcooked.
Excellent service and food. We went here to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Ramon and Stephanie were extremely professional and the service was impeccable. We ordered the tomahawk steak to share and "Good Lord", it was a ridiculously good steak -- tender and full of flavor!
Thank you to Ruth's Chris for making this a memorable evening for both of us!
The food was of high quality and the steaks were cooked exactly as they said ( note that I think they cook medium pinker than most would expect) . That said they use a lot of butter and for me that detracted from the taste of the meat.
And the prices are very high - New York or London high . And frankly it really doesn't match good restaurants in those cities. So the value for money is low.
They have a simple dress code but they don't seem to enforce it. Why bother if you won't hold to it and maintain the standard and ambience you are looking to obtain.
I won't be going back in a hurry.
One of my favorite places for a fantastic dinner or fun happy hour. Here for our anniversary.... started with the lobster bisque...which was perfect, lobster mac & cheese...also very good, rib eye...cooked perfect and delicious, lobster tail...also delicious. Service was perfect....when we arrived, our table was covered in rose petals, our menu had "Happy Anniversary" at the top, our dessert plates had "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. It was the perfect evening...thank you Ruth's Chris!!
