Wonderful and attentive service with excellent food.
Always a must when I visit Chicago. Never fails me!
Great dinner !!! Just perfect
We were celebrating a birthday for my boyfriend and the service was amazing!! Andre was fantastic!! He made the whole night better! I was so blown away by his service and his attention to detail! He really took great care of us!
Second time at RPM! Love the risotto
The food was excellent. I did think the service was a little slow, but only from our waiter. The front desk staff and bussers around were great.
Omg this place is perfection! Everything is excellent from the service to every little detail. This place specializes in making you a happy customer! Atmosphere is very comfortable and the waiter eases you from drinks to appetizers to the mains and desert! Pure pleasure! Recommend prosciutto favorite Appetizer. Striped Bass and lobster fra Diablo were 2 of the 8 top entrees. The donuts are super for desert!
We celebrated mom's 100th birthday at RPM Italian, and we had a superb time! The food we ordered was delicious: Garlic bread, eggplant parm, caesar salad, fish special, and delectable desserts! One of the best wine lists; we enjoyed a bottle of Montepulciano. Love the ambiance!
Service was excellent, very jolly!
My girlfriend and I celebrated our 4oth birthdays together!
The service we received at RPM was exceptional- from the minute the valet opened the door for us to the minute we left. Our server was genuine and made us feel so special as we celebrated our big birthdays!
The drinks were so fresh and refreshing- we enjoyed the "Spritz & Giggles", so good and so dangerous! I had the Maine lobster ravioli and my friend had meatballs and bread. Everything tasted so fresh and so good.
We were treated with a Birthday dessert...thank you RPM for such a wonderful lunch!
Wines by the glass need a larger selection and more reasonable price points.
I came here with very high expectations because of all the great things i’ve heard. The only thing that disappointed me was that the carbonara was WAY too salty. I couldn’t take more than a couple bites. Maybe I had a bad batch. I will return because everything else was great.
This is our favorite restaurant! We try to come here 3-4 times a year. Great atmosphere, great food, great service!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it here! Hats off to Bill and Guiliana!
Amazing food & drinks! Highly recommend the Spaghetti & Meatballs.
Nice place, affordable
Dre did a fantastic job. Amazing service and experience!!
We were there at 3:30 on Saturday. It wasn't that crowded. So I don't understand why the service was terrible ! Our experience was just okay ! I don't think we will be coming back !
My wife and I had been looking forward to this on our long weekend getaway. As we walked in, everything was fine and my wife had asked to go to the restroom to empty out a clear plastic cup that contained coffee. She encountered a gentleman going into the area of the restaurant with the restrooms and felt somewhat accosted by how he approached her and tried to grab the plastic cup. She felt like he almost lunged for the cup and asked where she got the plastic cup and if she had planned on using the restroom. She stated she wanted to empty out the coffee and dry the cup. After about a minute, she was able to take care of what she needed to do. About 5 minutes later, we found out that the man that approached her was one of the partners in the restaurant by one of the managers also working. He apologized for what what happened but we did not see that partner or get an apology from him. The rest of the meal was fine but my wife was on edge the rest of the time given the experience. This was the last meal we had before leaving town. While all of the wait staff were great and the food delicious, it is a shock that one of the partners of the restaurant would act in such a way towards someone he did not know. We both felt a little put off about returning given the experience. While we understand that it was St. Patty’s Day and every one seemed on high alert given the drinking around and in the restaurant, ownership must be more cautious before mistaking someone using the restroom from just a party goer to an actual patron of the establishment. As for returning, time will tell but it was not the way we wanted to leave town.
Great service and great food! I would highly recommend this location to others!
Food was unreal, lively atmosphere
ALWAYS a great dining experience. The restaurant itself is vibrant and intimate at the same time. We usually dine on Friday evening thete. It is a happening place. Reservations are a must. Seating on time is the only disappointment in any if the experience. The menu offers excellent options for flavor and price. I applaud the pasta particularly. Also best meatballs ever!
The wine list is ample. Share the oversized desserts. Hazelnut tartufo is a rare find. Can't wait to return.
Tables were close together
Waiter was so knowledgeable!
I have been wanting to try RPM since it opened. Finally was able to get in on our trip to Chicago. It didn't disappoint. I had mentioned it was our anniversary. They treated us very special. We received champagne and dessert. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Our food was fabulous. Can't wait to come back when we are back in town.
Loved everything about it. What a fabulous meal and experience.
This is our favorite Chicago restaurant. It has a very swank vibe and the staff has a way of making you feel special every time you dine with them. Best of all, the food is outstanding. We always order the octopus which is prepared with chick peas, celery and hints of citrus. This time we had halibut for our main course which was beautifully prepared and of very generous size! Thanks to our server Kasha for a lovely night.
Very loud. We had to wait a half hour before being seated even with a reservation and the waiting at the bar thing is a joke as it was packed even on a Wednesday night. The table we got was too small and lined up in close quarters with people directly next to us on both sides almost cafeteria style like Lou Mitchel's on a Sunday. Could not tune out the neighbors conversations for this reason. I think those who reserve a table through Open Table may be given a sub par table assignment...
My Husbabd and I had a fantastic and romantic time. We LOVED the bartender and our waitress- they were so knowledgeable about the menu and really catered to us. My eggplant Parm was DIVINE and so was the dessert. And there wine. And the salad. And the bread!
It was a group of 6 and the wait staff was great in walking us through how best to order for the group.
Glen was impeccable, from his wine recommendations to his depth of knowledge regarding every detail of every dish, we couldn’t have asked for more. The food and wine were sublime and we felt like we were in the hands of true professionals throughout the evening.
Our dinner was fantastic! Will be adding RPM to our regular list of Chicago eateries.
I have heard good things about RPM from a number of people and it did not disappoint. The food was very good, the wine was excellent and there was enough table spacing so you didn't have to listen to your neighbors the whole night. Definitely worth another visit.
RPM Italian is always wonderful. As far as a special night out, for us it is always either RPM Italian or Lettuce’s sister restaurant Mon Ami Gabi. The food is always creative and superlative, the service knowledgeable and warm. Can’t go there every night. But if I could afford it, I would.
Got there early, Noise level definitely increased as it started filling in.
Great service! Delicious meal! Great cocktails!
RPM is perfect for any special occasion or if you just feel like getting some bomb Italian food. Service is incredible and the wine and food, including the lobster ravioli and saffron risotto, is some of the best I’ve ever had. They were incredibly sweet and celebratory for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary. A little pricey but definitely worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend.
The hostess “Sam” very rude. Especially when your a table of 9 from out of town sparing no expense. She made us wait at 7:30 until the reservation time of 7:45 when the table was ready. Her attitude was bad and snappy. Very unprofessional. We take clients here twice a year every year and never had such bad service. Get a new hostess
Family Birthday dinner for 16 y.o. Daughter.
We were seated in a back of restaurant corner which felt a bit tight & could’ve had a more comfortable setting but overall the dinner was great! Really nice B-Day dessert for family to share!
Next time I’d request a better table. Had no idea we’d end up where we were with ample time reserved.
Tables too close together
So loud that it was impossible even to hear the waiter. Also crammed into banquet seating that literally has our neighbor’s elbow on our table.
Food is always great as well as the service.
Great staff and excellent food , We had the best Italian dishes after a while.
If you are in downtown Chicago don’t miss RPM.
