The food was delicious, albeit a little bit slow. The waiter told us everything was made custom daily, so I can forgive the speed of delivery. Everything was served piping hot!
We were in Indy for a soccer tournament and wanted a non-chain meal to celebrate a birthday. Our meals, service and ambiance were wonderful.
Good food, good service, right pricing. Quite loud though, difficult to have a normal conversation with a table of 4 people.
The food is absolutely fantastic and authentic! Everything is scratch made and they have an extensive wine collection. Expect a somewhat slower pace and enjoy the wine while you wait for your food. I am looking forward to returning soon.
Excellent experience. Food was way above average for an Italian restaurant in Indiana. Our waiter made every attempt to make us happy with each selection. I didn't like my Pinot Grigio, so he gladly exchanged for a Chardonnay.
So all in all, a real "find". Will return soon.
Very good in all respects ..... will return for sure.
One of the better restaurants in Indianapolis. Great food and outstanding service and ambiance. Highly recommended!
Food and wine were AMAZING. Close proximity and number of tables in a small space made for a lot of noise. Hard to carry on a conversation.
The food was not horrible but very overpriced for what we got. With the tip, it was nearly $100 for two entrees, a salad and two glasses of wine. The seafood linguine special was tasty but the shrimp was rubbery and the scallops were over cooked. I thought that, although the service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant, it was very overpriced.
While it was reminiscent of our trip to Assisi and Rome, the food had definite room to grow. At this price point, even in Carmel, we would expect an absolute copy of Italy. Wine was fantastic, and service was solid 4 stars.
Love to dine at Roma, my only complaint is the noise level
The shrimp are excellent
Great food and friendly staff! Will definitely be going back!
My husband and I had a wonderful time! We enjoyed the entire experience!
Great little place. Authentic and terrific food! I will definitely be coming back.
Fantastic food, fresh and original, great service. My only complaint is that it is a little loud.
Great date night spot. Delicious authentic Italian food and nice wine selection.
Another great dinner! Food was excellent as always.
The Cioppino special was wonderful- nice on a cool evening- would like to see it as a full time menu option. Roma was hopping- all tables full- always a great dining spot; relaxed dining before a Palladium event and any evening. Chef Lucio makes time to say hello to guests. Staff friendly; the right amount of time to be attentive to guests- they know the menu and can guide you with a wine selection.
My Russian wife feels that it's much more authentically Italian than other restaurants she's visited here in the States.
Long time Carmel residents and our first visit. A friend recommended it and she was right! The owner/chef met us at the door and seated us at a comfortable table. Our waitress took her time explaining the menu and wine list. She answered all of our questions and make helpful recommendations. The food was fresh and similar to the dishes we enjoyed in Rome last year. The wine was excellent but the deserts were superb! The owner has a gelato shop in Carmel and we enjoyed a pistachio that was smooth and creamy. Definitely will return and we are telling our family and business partners to try it.
Delicious food and attentive service. A perfect venue for our New Year's Eve meal.
My wife and I dined here on New Year's eve to experience the fixed menu four course dinner. The meal was outstanding!!! We come here often and have never been disappointed. Great ambiance and food to die for!
Wonderful experience! I highly recommend and cannot wait to return.
Loved it. One of our favorites and the best Italian in Indy.
Nice atmosphere. Great food. Authentic.
Thoroughly enjoyed our antipasta, wine, and entrees, although the large scallop special was too salty. Otherwise, the seasoning was tasty. Appreciated Christina's friendly service. We will come back again.
This was my first visit after hearing numerous positive comments from friends.
It was a wonderful evening spent with a good friend. Saw many other friends.
The food was excellent and well priced for the quality.
You were kind enough to divide the 2 entrees we choose so we could share.
The lamb chops were outstanding.
Thank you for offering a wonderful dining experience in a small friendly neighborhood setting.
I will be back
Always a special evening at Roma. Lucio's current fish special is wonderful - The service staff is friendly, knowledgeable- just the correct amount of attention - even on a busy night. Make reservations- they are full even during the week. Lucio, the chef/owner says hello to each table even when busy. High value for the food served.
My wife and I had dinner here before a concert at the Palladium. The food was excellent, and the wine list is very approachable. Our waitress was very nice, efficient, and made good recommendations.
This restaurant was one of the best I've been to. Authentic Italian like I've never had. The owner is from Rome which was pretty neat. The server knew everything about the menu. The food was served in a traditional Italian way with each course seperate. A bottle of wine, appetizer, pasta plate, 2 meat plates , and dessert was $140 but the prices are definitely reasonable for what you recieve. The lamb was perfect. I don't have a single complaint about the restaurant
Amazing homemade noodles! The sauce was delectable and the perfect place for date night!
This place is amazing its nice little restaurant . the food was outstanding the service was great an the prices were not to bad . we are so gonna go back again.
Great neighborhood asset that is worth the drive even if you don't live in the neighborhood. Attentive service without being overbearing. GREAT FOOD! Plenty of choices on the menu plus the daily specials. Personal service with the chef/owner in the dining room when possible. Nice wine list.
Every meal I've ever had at Roma has been delicious -- fresh and flavorful. It's hands-down the best Italian food in the Indianapolis area.
After this visit, we told ourselves that we would not wait so long for the next visit! Really enjoyed this cozy, locally owned place. The food was really well prepared and server friendly and knowledgeable.
Great Food, authentic, very nice reasonable wine , a bit out of the way , so it’s quiet, good parking nice place
Our meal was absolutely Fantastic! We started dinner with some Antipasti. The octopus was done to perfection and dried plums wrapped in bacon were delicious. For entrees, my friend had the the oxtail and claimed it was the best he has ever tasted. My wife had the stuffed pork tenderloin and thought it was outstanding. I had the Boscaiola and it was done to perfection. What a great night! Absolutely enjoyable!
The restaurant is as consistent as they come with food and service. Others have noted the strip mall and blah atmosphere. I will say that the good outweighs any of those 4:1. The only criticism I have is that the specials are uninspired for the range of the menu. I would love to see the chef get out of his comfort zone
The Tortino al Salmone to die for. The oxtail is divine. Cuisine fresh, clean, and lovingly prepared. BUT beware! The cannoli is not as presented on their website. Was hard, dry and chalky. We will return nevertheless.
Awesome food & awesome people. It is a fantastic, authentic restaurant and we love visiting every time that we can.
