Monday thru Friday: Happy Hour from 3-6pm with $3 tacos, $3 drafts, $3 appetizers and $1 off margaritas!
The staff was rushing around like chickens with their heads cut off. It took about 15 minutes for us to even get water because we tracked someone down and asked for it. A table sat after us had their food before we got our drinks. They also changed the menu which was a big disappointment. The rio is a top favorite because of the tostadas and the margaritas. They no longer have tostadas on the dinner menu. Overall it was one of the worst experiences I have had at the Rio. Won’t be going back for dinner.
our drinks were spilled on the waitress tray and not replaced
Really great dinner on the patio. Made a reservation, was seated right away and our waitress was great! The fish tacos were a perfect way to start summer!
Overall very busy place and a strong local spot. The Happy Hour tacos were amazing and cheap! Just two made a complete meal. The baked chili relleno was a little undercooked, but tasty. Overall satisfied
Food was good, service was average. Very disappointed they didn't take my Open Table dining rewards certificate even though I booked the reservation through Open Table. It seemed they just didn't want to be bothered.
First of all upon arrival at 5 p m. we asked 3 young hostesses about our 5pm "open table " reservation for 6 with outside table requested They said they didn't have a reservation under my name and didn't seem to know about open table. Needless to say that was just the beginning. They didn't call the manager or offer help finding another table or apologize. All 3 seemed clueless on how to hostess. Not trained
Luckily my fiance was looking around for a table a grabbed one quickly as the other party was about to be leaving It was never bused, cleaned and had dirty dishes and a bowl with crumbled chips
Our waitress took about 15 minutes to come to our still dirty table and get our drink orders. No water or setup for eating. Finally a bus boy came and quickly cleared the table after 20 minutes. Another waitress spilled a bowl of chips behind one if outr groups chair and laughed and left it there. Eventually it was cleaned up about 30 minutes later.
It took another 20 minutes for our waitress to come deliver our drinks. Still no water or chips and salsa. She gave us a dinner menu.
We sipped our drinks and decided what we wanted to order off the overpriced dinner menu. Again, after she came back we asked for chips and salsa plus water. Also, had to ask for happy hour menu before she brought it just before happy hour ended at 6pm. Which is why we went there We ordered and the food slowly arrived about 20 minutes later but still no water and she brought chips with no salsa. So we asked again. She was very rushed and seemed to have too many tables and definitely was bringing out drinks every time she came back out.
We did like our food and received our order correctly. We stayed and visited and ordered another round of drinks.
I went to the women's room and it looked like a bomb went off in there. Filthy with wet Toliet paper in the floor and trash coming out of the overflowing trashcan. Not impressed with the management! I choose LaSandia nearby.
Chips and salsa is the only good thing.... very overpriced and not what it used to be. There food has lost flavor.
Just love the everything I ever eat.
Love the great staff!!!
Vegan options would make this restaurant excellent. Still, the drinks and food were great; service nice and fast.
The food was not impressive. The strawberry margarita was below average. With all the Mexican restaurant options I will try all the other ones before coming back
Amazing delicious food
The tacos were so yummy!
The chips and salsa was good the waitress was amazing I have to work 50 characters are won’t except the review she’s way out by the car oh my Go The chips and salsa was good the waitress was amazing ! I will go back for more Mexican food
Our server seemed to rush us to place our order and it was not even busy. He seemed annoyed that we asked for more chips. I felt he only cared about raising our bill so he would have a larger tip. He was not friendly or courteous. Kinda rude. He never came back to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. Silverware looked dirty. We made a reservation a week in advance for a special occasion and they still placed us at a booth next to the kitchen. Not good! We can always count on wonderful service and food at Fort Collins location so we expected the same here, but totally different experience. I don't think we will ever return to this location again. It just wasn't a pleasant dining experience overall.
Back for a third visit, so must be alright. Very dependable. Great service. Food is quite good for Americanized Mexican cuisine. I always have a breakfast burrito. The tortillas are freshly made. Chips warmed and crispy. Margs are reasonably priced as well. The noise level is a bit amped. Parking can be tight, although I do not understand why. Plan to keep going back.
Fun evening but very crowded. Our group of 6 was squished into a booth not meant for 6 people. Usually we have great service but this time our server was rarely around and we continuously had to flag someone down to refill our water and drinks.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast burrito for dinner. The steak inside was outstanding. The Chili Relleno was great.
Veggie Fajitas were fantastic! And the margaritas are always delicious! Can't wait till next time!
Great food, excellent service and an overall extremely pleasant dining experience, plus great Margaritas!
We've eaten here a few times, great margaritas and love that we can make a reservation. The smoked chicken tacos are unique and tasty. My only complaint is the food is not as hot (temp) as it should be served. More than one occasion the food was warm but never hot enough.
We had a party of 25 people and they did a fantastic job accommodating all of us!
I have never had a bad meal when I have gone there. This is my favorite place to get a marg! I recommend the Rio to everyone!
Didn't love my tostado because it was almost all lettuce. If I had c wanted a salad I would have ordered one. Good, service though!
Just had drinks and apps here for a small get-together with girlfriends, and the service was wonderful! Our server was very attentive and friendly. The mango margarita I had was delicious also.
This time everything from the Margaritas to the Fajitas was superb. Always been good, but the Fajitas this time around were extremely well tasting with a good combination of the right spices and tenderness of the meat. Extremely good service. Enjoyable evening. Thank you!
Great margaritas, queso, chili rellenos, steak tacos, smoked chicken tacos
Their queso was gas station quality. Average Mexican food. But if you have 3 margaritas I’m sure their food tastes drunkenly delicious.
Very nice restaurant. Been here a couple of times. Excellent food. Family friendly. Kids loved it too. Would recommend to anyone. Best part is the free chips and salsa. Lol
The restaurant had a fun vibe and was very popular. The food itself was pretty bad; neither my wife or I ate our meals.
Good food and margs, VERY HOT green chili
The best part of our dinner had to be the Service, the black beans, the Salsa & the margaritas.
The Tamales were dry, lacked much flavor & had very sparse amounts of protein.
Our server, was very attentive & took great care of us!
Great food and service
I would give Rio Grande in Park Meadows an A-. I have to ding them on not having combination plates. I enjoy having cheese and onion enchiladas and a hard shell taco on the same plate. Unfortunately, I had to choose one or the other. I went with the cheese and onion enchiladas, and they were GREAT. But I was missing the taco to go with it. Otherwise a great spot. The service was AMAZING. The server was attentive, but not overly so.
Overall a nice place for Mexican cuisine and a beer.
Great drinks, great food, and an all around fun place. Only down fall is the rude head greeter.
The Rio does a great job on the food and margaritas!
Will not return--way too loud, and it was a Tuesday. Beef in burrito tastes and had texture of mushy pot roast. Shrimp in tacos was ok. Black beans had no seasoning. Wait staff was not engaged. Will not be back!
Celebrating a birthday-the dessert they brought as a compliment was fantastic. Great Margs and the food is pretty authentic too. Casual fun
I️t was loud but that’s fine. They were super busy and the waitstaff was running around. Could’ve used some additional waitstaff, for sure, but everyone was very friendly and nice.
Easy to get to and food was pretty good. A couple of us ordered the Green Chili on the servers recommendation and it was almost too spicy to eat- sour cream helped. Side salad was nice and big. Happy hour pricing is always appreciated and a good deal.
Food was tasty...all Organic does help with that. Music was a bit loud...
Not a lot of options to chose from...limited choices.
