Thank you for a wonderful experience. From the time I walked in I was treated like an old friend. Our service from Wayne was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and professional. And super cute. The duck confit melted in my mouth, and of course the bone in ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, flavorful and juicy.

Been celebrating my dad's birthdays here for years. He loves a good steak, and the Ringside provides that along with character, a bit of history, coziness, easy parking. We always get the onion rings. The baked spinach is a popular side. Loved the passion fruit tart; that was a good order on my end!

I have been going to the ringside since I was. 9 years old. It is a place firmly cemented in my memory as one of the best dining experiences of my life. Now almost 40 years later, I look to the ringside to fulfill those expectations.
It has in every way except for the quality of the beef. I had 9 guests; they were all thrilled. I won't every complain as a host at a business event under these circumstances.
This is the second time I've had the same challenge.
My 28 day New York steak, ordered medium rare was medium at the narrow end and medium rare at the larger end. The steak was tough and not very flavorful.
I had a coworker who had the same cut and while his was cooked properly, it was also tough and not flavorful.
On the positive side; there is no better bat in the country. The onion rings never fail. The creamed spinach a sautéed vegetables were stellar.
We had a full flight of Madeira from 1910 through 1960 which was excellently received. This is something that simply cannot be done anywhere else in the city and to my knowledge anywhere else in the country.
This is why it is doubly sad that the steaks just weren't good.
I will however be back. Maybe, god forbid, I'll order the chicken

3 out of the 4 steaks were over cooked and they lacked in flavor and the service was extra slow for this establishment. The Ringside used to be our favorite restaurant and we will not be to returning anytime soon.

Great choice for a celebration dinner. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Our server Derick was a joy and helped make the night feel special. There were 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. The onion rings had just the right amount of batter, the steaks were all cooked perfectly, the seafood pasta was rich and delicious and the desserts were divine. The only "miss" was the large anchovy on the caesar salad.

They seated us right across from the kitchen door! Not good for an Anniversary dinner. Also, my wife ordered prime rib & asked for it to be cooked MEDIUM...they brought her prime rib WELL DONE. Not good again. We expect Ringside to get it right the first time & for my wife to receive a prime rib MEDIUM the FIRST TIME. We expect that for such an expensive restaurant. The experience was very mediocre or "meh". Not worth how expensive this place is.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and professional staff at every level. Our server, Mary, was outstanding with exceptional knowledge of food and wine. Classic steakhouse fare prepared to perfection. We enjoyed our wonderful evening. Thank you.

The food as always was excellent, but like most downtown restaurants the prices have gone very high. This is not an intimate spot - I know what the people beside on both sides were going to do later, it was impossible to not hear their conversations as you are seated very close.
the service was good; nice wine recommendation from the server. I will go back but it will have to be a special occasion again.

Amazing food. We had to wait 15 minutes for our table we reserved weeks in advance while walk one where seated in front of us who arrived after us. Waiter was amazing, until a larger 7 top arrived--then we really did not see home again--until he chased us down in the parking lot. We were waiting for the valet to bring us our car when he appeared to tell us we forgot to pay--we paid in app because we were ignored after they served desert

Started off great being greeted by the hostess was wonderful and very welcoming. The dry aged rib & lobster tasted pretty good. Did not enjoy the side dishes at all. Mashed potatoes were way too salty. Onion rings that they are known for were not that impressive

Ringside boast the best steak in town and they deliver 100%. In addition, their sides are creative and tasty. We took our son & his girlfriend there for his 24 th birthday, our server was knowledgeable and very friendly without being intrusive. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye... OMG like butter! My son ordered the bone in filet mignon and lobster mashed potatoes. Super fabulous. I ordered the prime rib. It was very tender it but I think next time I will do the bone in ribeye. The wines a priced well not too much of a markup so that was nice
All in all wonderful experience. I will say this is on the pricey side but well worth every penny

Pioneer Courthouse Square is called "Portland's Living Room". Well, when you want to come in from the rain and cold for an exquisite meal and cozy ambience, come to the city's other "Living Room"; Ringside on Burnside. My wife and I come here whenever we are in town. It is relaxed, gracious (thanks this evening to Steve and his bus staff) and clearly the best steaks outside of Colorado or Argentina. It may be a bit spendy for some but for that special treat with someone you love or business associates that you begrudgingly tolerate (just have some more wine), this is the place. There are so many good memories for us. We sat next to the table at which we had celebrated our anniversary in July. Ironically, another couple that evening was celebrating as well. I wonder if that is the designated table.

My husband and I dined here for our wedding anniversary and loved it. Great staff, great food (we had steak) and good prices. Our server Rebecca was awesome and very attentive witout being the least bit intrusive. This is our new go to!

It was our first time at Portland and I read reviews about RingSide Steakhouse so we decided to check it out. I loved the relaxed but romantic ambiance the restaurant emits when you first enter. The server we had was Mary and she was extremely patient and fabulous. We ordered bone marrow appetizer (which is one of my favorite appetizers by far) and porter filet mignon (which was extremely juicy and tender). Overall, I loved the experience and food was better than I expected.

I had an out of town guest from Florida who had never visited Portland and I wanted to show him a great steak experience. Ringside did not disappoint. The prime rib was delicious and the lobster mashed potatoes was a delight. It was a rainy night so the blazing fireplace was perfect. The serving staff in their tuxedos were professional adding 100% to the great dining experience. My only complaint was having a TV going when the noise level from the crowded room was already high. Plus a TV in this upscale restaurant just doesn't fit. Overall good job and to be sure if I have additional out of town guests who brag that their state has the best steaks, I will bring them to Ringside.

Lovely ambiance and nice staff but food didn't live up to reputation. Really good starter but surf & turf was disappointing....as was dessert. Also disappointed not to find any espresso in a town famous for coffee!!

The Ringside is known for its PDX history, steak, wine, and onion rings! My wife and I went there for our anniversary and brought our own bottle of pinot noir that we had been saving for just the occasion. We ended up getting oysters and onion ring apps, salad wedges, and splitting a bone-in ribeye. The oysters were decent but not great (very small and more shell pieces that I would expect). The onion rings + sauce were delicious. The salad wedges with large bacon chunks were also delicious. The ribeye was good but not great. We asked for medium rare but received medium. Over cooked on one side. The steak was about 3/4" thin so that probably contributed to the cooking issue. The quality of the meat was good but the preparation and steak size was lacking the wow factor. I can do better at home. The service was outstanding and she even bought us dessert for our anniversary. Top notch!
