This restaurant is always a must when we visit Asheville. Great service and great food, and a lot of it. I always get their meatballs, that comes with risotto and delicious baby spinach, served with a homemade marinara sauce. Delicious!

My new most favorite restaurant in Asheville. Absolutely the most delicious and fantastic Calamari in the City, or anywhere else for that matter! Wonderful food, wonderful drinks, wonderful service, and our Server, Scott, is the best in any restaurant in NC! Amazingly knowledgeable and quite intelligent, with a wonderful sense of humor......and very attentive to your every need, making Rezaz more of a dining Epiphany than a dining experience, however both would be appropriate. Thanks, Scott and Rezaz!

Rezaz is delightful. The decor of the restaurant is very cool. You would never know you are in Biltmore right next to the train crossing. The food was quite good. The server was friendly and knowledgable. The paella was very good as was the grilled romaine salad. We had no complaints!

Our evening at Rezaz was the perfect thank you for help with a recent move. The wait staff was attentive, the food was outstanding, and the recommended bottle of wine was delicious and new to us. This will be the first of many future visits. I highly recommend it to all.

Not sure why this is one of the top rated restaurants in Asheville, however they do stay very busy. It seemed like they were struggling to keep when we were there. We showed up a half hour before our reservation, not expecting to be seated right away, but also not 15 minutes later than our reservation, which we were. The food was ok, but not great, especially for the price. The mixed olive appetizer was a collection of tiny olives on a small plate, salads were barely above average, and the shrimp and rice entree came in an iron skillet with much of it stuck to the bottom. Service was friendly, but slow. Maybe they were busy scrubbing skillets. Again, it's not terrible, but not the quality fine dining experience we expected given the ratings we had seen about it.
We live locally and have eaten at Rezaz ...
We live locally and have eaten at Rezaz many times, usually with excellent results. But this was an off night. The service problem does need to be seen in the context that it was a Saturday night in the high season and the restaurant soon became very, very busy. Our server started out excellent but things went downhill once the place filled up and her other tables were located closer to the other end of the room. It became impossible to get her attention and the waiter taking care of all the other tables around us simply was not interested in helping out. This has not been our experience in the past at Rezaz where all the staff used to work as a team. We do not blame our server who did the best she could, but whoever gave her one table at a far distance from all her others. Now to the food, also a disappointment. We tend to order certain things here as we love them and that night was no exception...the Rezaz meza platter to share and then the lamb shank and the paella. We ordered drinks and bread was brought to the table , but it was not what we were expecting. Instead of a wire basket filled with an assortment of delicious warm breads, it was a small saucer with a few small bites of white bread and some undistinguished plain olive oil. Then the meza arrived. The pita triangles were perfectly browned and delicious as were 2 of the dips. The third dip was a total mystery. It was yellowish, runny and tasted vaguely like mustard. We tried to get the server's attention to ask what in the world happened but the busy time had started. So we just left it uneaten...after all, the other two were superb as usual. Then the paella which was delicious and perfectly spiced and cooked. But the lamb shank was horrible...totally dry and and tasteless, completely bland...which is pretty hard to do to lamb shanks. The server removed it from the table and from the bill, something that Rezaz is top-notch about. So a disappointing dinner, but the first one in years.

We missed our original reservation - thought I made it for the next night. So we called and went in and the staff was very friendly. You definitely need a reservation, but we sat at the bar and had a fabulous dinner and great conversation with the bartender/waiter. Terrific service, great atmosphere, good food & presentation. We will definitely go back next time we are visiting Asheville.

The quality of the food and service are top notch. Rezaz is a real gem. The wine list is quite extensive and the deserts are worth the final touch. We really were impressed with the way this restaurant has their act together.

Always a go to for us they never disappoint. Went for lunch with new friends since the menu provides many vegetarian options. I had black lentil soup and falafel and both were great. Wait staff was attentive but did not hover and let us talk till she sensed a break and suddenly she was there to take the orders. Food was hot and fresh and the conversation was never interrupted when the soda, tea and water were refilled as if by magic. After a great two hours of talking everyone left satisfied and pleased with the value for the money. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Unfortunately quite a bit of the food we selected was not prepared well. The Meza included very bland baba ghanouj and hummus.
The grilled Caesar salad was sloppy.
I had the lamb chop special which came out overcooked. While we all know this can happen, the second dish came out under cooked and it was served over called ratatouille and asparagus which was not tasty.
My partner had muscles which were terrible. The muscles themselves were stringy and wouldn't come out of the shell. I believe this is an indication that they are over cooked.
I have eaten here before and was impressed, but this trip was a complete let down.

Took our friends from Virginia there for lunch as Rezaz is one of my go to places for good food. They loved the ambiance and food. One had the special, another had the lamb bento box, and I had the seafood Catalonia. All were fabulous. Each time I go there, I always come out smiling because the service and food are excellent.

Visiting Asheville and checked out reviews on Trip Advisor. Rave reviews so decided to give it a try and am so glad we did. Service was running a little behind but the staff did everything they could to make it seamless for us. The food was simply outstanding. Appetizer of calamari and shrimp was something I could eat every day and the beef tenderloin was some of the best I've ever had. Thank you for an outstanding experience all the way around!

Staff so wonderful. Saved a quite corner table for my birthday dinner. We ate there during the Biltmore restaurant week so they had a special set menu. choices were great, price was good value. Fun and friendly staff. Décor reflected their name.

The food was good bit give this place a good review because we were mischarged. The menu said $35 for three course meal. We were charged an $16 for desert. When we asked to see the menu we were told to check online. So we checked after leaving and found that we were indeed mischarged. When we called em out they refunded us the $16 but no consideration to tax or tip value. In retrospect should of made them refund full amount and re-calculated the tip.

We visited during "Biltmore Week" so the menu was somewhat limited. However; the choices were varied and we found things we liked very much. The octopus salad was outstanding. The service was good, the ambiance was good. A very pleasant evening at one of our favorite spots.

They explained that it was biltmore week, thus a limited menu. I'm of greek heritage and am quite familiar with the cuisine. I ordered their chicken dish, my escort the brisket. The chicken
dish was a very small portion, quite greasy, and far from what I would consider good value. The brisket was tough. No I would not go back for the meal that they served.

Since discovering this place on our first visit to Asheville, we have returned on every visit. The food and service have been great. It keeps us from discovering other eating establishments in the area. Unfortunately, on this trip, we had a bad experience with the server. If he was new, he should have had a mentor taking him through the evening. Errors were so bad that, if the food wasn't so magnificent, we would not return. Note that on five previous visits, the service and servers were great. We will continue to be patrons and cheerleaders of this establishment.
Our favorite special occasion restaurant ...
Our favorite special occasion restaurant for years slipped a couple of notches tonight. Romaine salad full of grit like it was not properly washed. Chewy brisket; I've had better in a good deli sandwich. Forgettable baklava dessert. Overly solicitous server who was so loud, we stopped our conversation each time he recited tonight's specials to nearby tables. Our tablemates wrote a terse review of disappointment on their credit card receipt. Restaurants have off nights (half-empty on a Saturday night - uh oh), so we'll give them another chance in the future. But, not anytime soon.

The food could have been great but wasn't. My wife had what we assumed would be a light ravioli in a mascarpone. I was swimming in liquid. It was just heavy handed. The right idea but I think they thought more is better.
I had lamb shank that was a little dry. It tasted like the end of the night, and it was. I still think food should be as edible at the end of the evening as it is at the start.
All said I'd still go again to see if it was a one time deal. I liked the place and the food was made with the right ingredients. The execution was a miss.

We recommended Rezaz’s to our business associate and he decided to accept our advice. Not only did he come but he invited another couple. The evening was splendid. Everything from greetingin, table service all the way to dessert was exceptional.

Always fun to eat at Rezaz! Loved the lamb appetizer built for two and found the trout to be very good-and I rarely order trout. Solid, dependable and run well, this one never disappoints. The effort made in the kitchen carries over to very fresh, flavorful food.

Rezaz's did it again. But I have come to expect no less. We have been coming to this restaurant for years. Always outstanding. Know it has changed hands - but experience was flawless. Food is simply delicious and inventive. Service was outstanding.

Visiting Asheville for the weekend and decided to not eat at the "big inn" where we were staying and try something in town. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food preparations and the overall atmosphere.
