About Red Fish Grill
Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Please visit our website for further details.

Red Fish Grill Ratings and Reviews
The food was good. The service was excellent. The prices were high in relation to the quality of the food, I would have expected better. The price probably relates more to the location than the quality of food. This restaurant sits right on the beach. It has a great view and very nice ambience.
The location, just yards from the water of Bay of Biscayne, is magical if you are seated outdoors. Indoors this location is good considering that years ago this was a concession area for the beach. Our service was outstanding and the shrimp cerviche appetizers enjoyed by members of our party were high quality. The crab and corn chowder was bland requiring pepper.
Ordering from the Miami Spice menu the fish was excellent with a larger than expected portion. One of our party ordered a hanger steak which proved to be a mistake - not good at all. It was sent back, the restaurant to their credit dealt very professionally with this.
Dessert of flan and key lime pie was again superb.
Will return, note you must request to sit outside or inside when making an Open Table reservation.
Food was ok. Nothing special. You want the best bouillabaisse , go to Ortanique. Don't like the decor at all, the orange chairs , look like they belong in a cafeteria and the walls are just too plain. That place could look cozy and classy The location is a gem. Service was good but overall, nothing impressed me.
We celebrated my daughters birthday at an inside table by the widow. The ambiance is just beautiful! We were a party of 6 and some ordered off of the Miami Spice menu. I have to tell you everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, each one arguing that our dish was the best! Portion size won't disappoint and service was excellent! A must visit if you are looking for a nice dinner experience!
Food was not good and too expensive for what it was. I eat with my daughters in a different restaurant every weekend and know the good and bad places in Miami. I really wanted to like this place, and the view is awesome. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. Ordered two cheeseburgers for my daughters and the meat tasted strange and the patties were burnt. I had the fish (forget what it was, first one on the menu) and it tasted old. Had a hard time eating it. I didn't say anything. Just paid the bill and left. Had to continue dinner elsewhere. Spent 130 dollars. Feel it was a waste. I will come back to the Park but doubt I'll return to the restaurant in the near future.
We have been to Red Fish about 4 times in the past 16 years. All of our previous experiences were memorable and our taste buds have danced. It was the restaurant that we always looked forward to dining at. Last experience was last week, and I have to admit that it was a let down. For starters we ordered the soup of the day which had prawns. I have to admit that even though it was a bit too spicy, it was tasty. The disappointment came when I put my spoon into my bowl and found noodles in it. They are uncomfortable to eat and really unexpected in a restaurant that is as pricey as this one. Then we ordered the Tuna and the Sea Bass. None of them were stellar. Aside from the fact that it seemed that we needed to add salt, the combinations of flavors were not executed well enough to be outstanding and memorable. My palate was left unmoved and my expectations were severely let down. Compared to the other experiences that all date back at least 4 years, this was by far low in our liking. We will not be going back as long as this chef is working for them.
It's appears that this restaurant may have hanged owners and definitley chef. Was a favorite. The snapper was greasy, raw and unseasoned. However the manager was kind and had it made over well done and less grease but still tasteless. The server was nice but packed my take away with the fried yuca on top of the fish and coleslaw. Did not know he needed directive for this.
My friend enjoy his birthday and the ambience but was disappointed with the food.
The atmosphere was beautiful; watching the sunset--simply divine. It was the perfect place to meet an old friend since the food is just ok. In Florida , there are high expectations for fish. If you are a foodie---this is not your place. For wonderful outdoor ambience it can't be beat.
Unfortunately it was the first time here that I have to say I did not enjoy my meal. The appetizers were good but my snapper was a big letdown. I didn't send it back because the company I was with, everybody was enjoying their meal but unfortunately I was not. The waiter was really good.
