Our group of 10 wanted saturday brunch. After searching online for restaurants serving brunch and able to take our group size, we settled on Windows on the Park. When we walked in our table was already set up and lunch menus were on the table. We were told brunch wasn't possible.Being from out of town, we were upset but didn't know any other places to go. 2 of our group were vegan, 1 gluten-free, and the lunch menu had nothing they could eat. We explained what had happened that we wanted breakfast food.Soon the manager came out, and said if we wanted brunch, that's what we'd get. The kitchen switched over to breakfast items, we got new menus and aye a delicious brunch! Wonderful food and service!
My husband and I had the a GREAT meal at Windows on the Park for our choice for restaurant week. We chose the butternut soup with pickled shrimp and granny smith apple garnish, then the grilled prime pork chop with maple grain mustard jus served over fennel white bean ragu then finished off with their chess pie. The food was delicious full of wonderful flavors well sized portions served by friendly server(Sam) in a timely manner. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming looking out over the park with all the lights of the evening. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and fun friendly staff.
Went on Valentine's Day when they offered a "prix fixe", so not their regular menu. Appetizers were fine but not spectacular. Main meal was very good. Desserts were passable, but didn't seem worth the calories, since we're watching our weight. Package came with Champaign and a rose, and we were seated right next to the window, so the ambiance was very pleasant. Our server (Candice) was very pleasant, but the dishes were quite slow coming from the kitchen. But we were'nt in a hurry, so all was well.
I almost never write a negative review. The three reviews online I read prior to booking my reservation were negative however I wanted to see if there had been improvement. The chicken was dry. The trout was not edible. The reviews online were correct.
I will not return
The description on Open Table sounded great but this restaurant is very disappointing. The seating and the lighting are not all conducive to a pleasant dining experience. The staff was polite but looked bored and was inattentive. The food was fair at best with poor presentation and none of the innovative cuisine that the description suggested.
Overall, a pretty typical hotel lobby restaurant with none of the flair that was expected. Not worth the trip.
We were excited to see the renovated restaurant and enjoy the menu offerings so well described. Service was some of the worst we have ever received. Courses were brought at inappropriate times. Server had to be reminded of requests. Check backs were infrequent and poorly timed. The food quality was also sub-standard. We were the only table for Sunday lunch and there was no excuse for what we experienced, including the loud sounds of the floors being cleaned in adjacent stations. There is a lot of work to be done to make this even a marginal restaurant.
