Viceroy Grille Ratings and Reviews
Viceroy Grill was a restaurant I had not heard about until I searched Open Table for a good Midtown spot. It did not disappoint. I had the filet. It was the perfect temp and seasoning. My date had the seafood sampler dish. She was pleased. I tried the swordfish and agreed. The Mac and cheese with bacon was the icing on the cake. It was creamy and delicious and perfect complement to the steak. We also had the west coast oysters. They were perfect as well. To finish it off we shared the creme brulue. Probably spelled it wrong but it was ok. I prefer a more caramelized crust. It was good nonetheless. I already recommended Viceroy to a foodie friend of mine. It's a must visit.
Great brunch to celebrate Mother's Day. Mimosas, sweet and savory plates, and large portions. Very accommodating price range. Management and serving staff were attentive and friendly. I did receive a french toast dish that was missing a main component (berry compote) and the staff removed the item from our ticket as a show of apology for missing perfection. The finale of single dark chocolate truffle to my mother for her special day was a really sweet gesture.
We were so excited to get back to The Viceroy....Chef Novak offers outstanding selections, and they were delicious! Our server - Patrick, and the Food and Beverage Manager made our evening extra special.....they are the true reflection of what fine dining looks like. It is a warm and friendly place, that has created just the right ambiance for a perfect night out! Get there as quickly and as often as you can.
The food and waiter were both exceptional! The ambiance was very nice, as well. We had the strangest experience, however: We went there for Mother's Day and had reservations for six people at 5:00 p.m. We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated before 5:00. Toward the end of the meal, our excellent waiter brought over the dessert menus, and as we were looking them over, the manager came over and asked us to move to the bar (located 7 floors up from the restaurant), that they need the table because it's a busy night. He promised us champagne and desserts up there, which was okay, but we hadn't even paid our dinner tab yet! He escorted us onto the elevator, rode with us to the 7th floor, and then stood there and waited while my husband paid the tab! Our tab was over $500. But that shouldn't matter - $5 or $5000 - we should have been treated better than that. Scheduling parties too close together is their fault, not ours. It was a disappointing end to my Mother's Day dinner with my family.
My wife and I dined at Viceroy Grille for our 10th anniversary and were very pleased. Located in the Ambassador Hotel, it was fun to enjoy a cocktail in the O Bar Lounge on the roof top before dinner in the grill. The food is uniformly excellent and the waitstaff helpful. The crowd was rather small for a weekend. We hope people aren't put off by the rather fancy decor and wrongly assume the Viceroy Grille is much more expensive than other fine restaurants. Our bill was in line with other top Oklahoma City dining rooms and it was a very nice evening.
We were seated promptly for brunch on a Saturday. There was a good variety of selections on the menu. The food was presented as ordered. The server was polite and got our order correct, but did not return during our meal to offer a refill on the water. The restaurant is small with a nice ambiance.
Love the restaurant, our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and appetizers and very on track with our needs. Thank you Patrick!!
The ambience was excellent.
The cocktails were right on target
Our table was ready for us when we arrived to the Restaurant.
Been here several times. Nice, varied menu options, with daily chef specials. I've had the swordfish several times and it well prepared, tasty. My wife had the special, rack of lamb...she cleaned the plate, said it was very good! They were very busy on this visit (Friday night). Our server seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Manager gave her a hand, and saved a possible bad experience. Recommend.
We were here on this occasion to celebrate Valentine's Day. Set menu had excellent choices and everything from the champagne toast and deviled quail egg with caviar was spot on from there on out! Service was extremely attentive and friendly. So happy to have chosen so well !
