Stonewood Grill & Tavern - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
An excellent experience for Valentine's Day. The staff was courteous and extremely attentive. At my request, the table had been specially set and flowers that I had ordered were in place at our table. The food, steak and lobster, was cooked to perfection and was absolutely delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for a special night. Stonewood created a lasting memory for our group. I'll be back.
Went for the first time on a Saturday night. I had a reservation, but one wasn't needed as there was plenty of seating around 9pm. Our server was very knowledgeable and provided several recommendations. We started with the steak bites with horseradish sauce and toast points. They were cooked perfect and the dish was great. I would've liked to get a few more bites of steak though as there was more than enough horseradish sauce and toast for the amount of steak bites. For the main course, I had Short Ribs w/ butternut squash ravioli. The meal was delicious. The short ribs were tender and the ravioli/sauce was amazing. It almost tasted like dessert to me. My girlfriend had the boursin stuffed beef medallions and they were excellent as well. As we were leaving, we both noticed the bar had a pretty decent crowd. We'd definitely come back.
My wife and I found this online, and we were totally impressed with the meal. Our server made some great recommendations on our appetizer and meals, and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding, and the timing of our service was spot-on. The server was very attentive to our needs and friendly. On top of not being in a tourist area, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Can't wait to go back.
Four of us went there for a birthday dinner. I had not been for a couple of years. Out of the 4 dishes, one was rated excellent, two very good, and one good. I had one of the entree's from their seasonal menu. Unfortunately, they took the title of the menu a little too far. It was over the top with seasonings. Ironically, two of the other dishes lacked a little flavor.
I don't want to sound too negative, as I still have an overall positive impression of this restaurant. I would definitely go back again based on my past experience, the overall atmosphere and service, which I find to be excellent.
We enjoy Stonewood for the highback booth seating that gives you a more intimate setting, The menu items are always well prepared, the servers are pleasant and attentive. Their steaks are excellent. Sea food is properly prepared and the deserts are very good. There is an ample variety of items for both of us and the prices are moderate for food and wine.
Wasn't too busy Christmas Eve. Had reservations though and was seated around that time. Had a great seat to watch the football game as well. Food and drinks were delivered promptly. At times our waiter seemed to be thinking about other things but he was very nice. Food was delicious.
Our dinner (filets) were excellent, cooked to our liking. Service was outstanding. Our waitress was very good and personable. Her recommendation for a bottle was perfect. I guess that's why Stonewood Grill is one of our favorite restaurant. We have never had a bad meal or poor service here, always left very satisfied.
My family took me to Stonewood for my birthday and we had such a great experience. The bruchetta was a delicious starter, the meals cooked to perfection and the bread pudding dessert is one of a kind! What a nice place to be able to talk while enjoying a meal. Don't forget to grab a blueberry martini during happy hour.....I had to have two. :)
Listed by a friend of their fav's places when visiting in Orlando. Looked like a good fit for us after looking online at the menu & prices. I will thank our friends. We had a great experience! The waitress ( Brittany) was attentive and most pleasant. Drinks, appetizer, and entree were delivered at appropriate times. Food was extremely delicious! Good $ value for the entire experience.
We have been to the restaurant before and have had a good experience. Our dining partners liked their meals, but my husband and I had a poor meal. I ordered the black grouper and the fish was like a knot of muscle and over-cooked. I did not want to wait for another piece, so I did not say anything, but the waitress also did not ask why almost the entire piece of fish was left on my plate. My husband ordered a couple of apps, but his beef appetizer was soggy and over marinated. We will probably go back again, based on prior experiences, but this meal was a big disappointment..
Generally we enjoyed all aspects of our meals - seated promptly, service excellent, atmosphere pleasant, and food very good and served hot. The only negative mentioned in our group was the Chicken Magnolia was quite salty though moist and tender. This is our third visit here and each time we enjoyed the outing with friends.
Have visited many times and this time was the worst ever. So Upset as I have always enjoy the place. Server mixed up the Salads, served Soda with no Fiz no Syrup in The Tonic. Bought the wrong wine, forgot the bread which arrived after the Salad was finished. The flounder was tasteless with stringy beans.
